Hi

Couldn't see a Feb thread so thought I would start one as am so excited to get a faint but definately positive HPT.

Fertility friend estimates a due date of 4th Feb.

Unfortunately (or fortunately)am off this afternoon for a hen weekend in Barcelona the first holiday in at least a year and a half and can't drink. Ohh well will have to be the responsible adult..... Hence checking to see if up the duff before I went drowning myself in Sangria.

Hope to see some others on here when I get back!!! If anyone cares to join me?

Welcome Mapleleaf - I'm only about 6 wks + 4 and I am now feeling a bit tired and sick. Nothing at all til now - I could of course have flu?

Hi all, I had my 6 week scan yesterday and I can confirm all is well. I saw the heart beating and my little pea was where he/she should be. I have a scan booked in 2 weeks time as of my mmc last year when the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. I have been feeling sick all day for 3 days now. Last night I was very sick. sorry if tmi. Am glad to have my symptoms finaly. xx

I had to cringe hearing what Newb went through on her booking in appointment in Switzerland and it made me laugh to read PinkTulips saying feeling pg might be psychological as that?s exactly what DH says to me ?you never had ms before you took that test? ? hmmmm! Not got same symptoms as before. Was nausous 24/7 before, but just having a few dizzy spells and am getting a pot belly. Not sure I am pg, might just be putting on a few pounds! I have to keep looking at the picky of the HPT too (cheers for saying it LuLuBai, glad I?m not the only one!)

idontbelieveit ? I actually did discharge myself against medical advice at 3 days after last EMCS. Have you looked at the VBAC/HBAC yahoo group yet?

Hello - would like to introduce myself here as I got a BFP yesterday - due date 19th Feb (it feels great to tell someone as we are keeping quiet until 12 weeks with everyone else as DH's cousin is having her first baby in a few weeks & e don't really want to detract from that).

No symptoms today. Bit miffed about that!

Anyone got any good 'get out of drinking' excuses? I am out on hen do tonight and they won't let me get away with driving, what on earth am i going to do? Also they are bound to take the piss out of me and i will get all the 'are you up the duff, or something?' lines. I really don't want to come clean until 12 weeks.

Any ideas welcome. My minds drawn a blank.

Nice idea CE, UTI it is. Bloody hate telling fibs though I remember all the hassle from last time.

One of my mates really started laying into my rather squiffy DH when I told her for the fifth time that particular month that i was on driving duties again. At least this time I have the excuse that we can't get a sitter and miss the bash altogether. All you first timers are gonna have fun explaining why you've suddenly turned into T-total recluses.

Hmm, not drinking excuses.

I'm going to go for antibiotics prescribed for cystitis or tooth infection. Cystitis is also good as it explains frequent trips to the loo. Might be an idea to start sowing the seeds a few days before night out though!

As for up the duff enquiries, maybe tell people that you have been really trying for a baby for quite some time and constant enquiries are becoming upsetting! That'll shut 'em up.

I had to let my best friend in on the deal & she organised some sort of complicated round system where she bought all the drinks. I had virgin "vodka & cokes" all night but had to agree to join in with all the drunken antics.

Nice to see you back IHASLS. I am actually feeling OK at the moment, despite not getting conclusive results from the scan. Over the last day or so, my womb feels like it is expanding - no pains like first time around - just feels like it is starting to squash everything else in there. So that's been keeping my spirits up. I have a GP appointment on Tuesday and will see if I can get an early scan, but if not, it's not too long to wait now (and I have a holiday in between to distract me).

Feeling OK today- so now worried again...sigh.

Loopylula- I am a POAS addict have only done one this week and feel deprived! I think its the reassurance and brings back some of the thrill I got when the first one came up +ve. They are mostly internet cheapies...honest havent got money to burn on "proper" ones.

Have piccies of Errr... at least 4 tests on my camera as well.Think I might be going a little mad....

Mapleleaf134 - I am due the same day as you, I've had no symptoms yet either but quite happy with that as was v.sick with DD.

I'm off out tomorrow night and I know my friends wont be convinced if i say i'm on antibiotics, was intending to have lemonade and pass it off as 'Vodka and Lemonade' or shandy (is that allowed??)

i don't need excuses for drinking as i don't really drink anyway but is anyone else a smoker? what excuses are you using for not smoking now? there's no way my frinds will buy the 'i quit' line as they know that's unlikely to have happened overnight. at the moment i'm managing by blaming the flu (a cold really but been upgraded to flu to hide preg symtoms ) and saying my throat is too raw but that's not going to work much longer!

they know i want a third so the first thing everyone says when i say i've quit will be 'you're preg' and although there's one or two i'll tell i don't want the whole village knowing at this stage, maybe after 9 weeks or so.

did another test yeasterday to cheer me up as i was feeling so rotten have them on top of the notice board in the kitchen, they'll go in the memory box like ds's did que screams of 'ewwww, that's so gross' 10 years down the line, lol.
