Hi

Couldn't see a Feb thread so thought I would start one as am so excited to get a faint but definately positive HPT.

Fertility friend estimates a due date of 4th Feb.

Unfortunately (or fortunately)am off this afternoon for a hen weekend in Barcelona the first holiday in at least a year and a half and can't drink. Ohh well will have to be the responsible adult..... Hence checking to see if up the duff before I went drowning myself in Sangria.

Hope to see some others on here when I get back!!! If anyone cares to join me?

So sorry ladymac . Is there any chance it could be an early bleed but not serious? Will you go for a scan? Thinking of you.

Congrats to all the newbies- sorry brain fried have added everyone (I hope) but now cant remember who to send congrats too

Loopy- yes I remember the thread we were on- great to see you here- makes me feel a real MNetter when people recognise you!!! I mainly lurk

I have the opposite problem with BF to most of you -DS has virtually given up over the last few weeks. Was never very enthusiastic but now there is barely any interest- maybe change in taste or just self weaning. Bit sad as took a long time to establish but I suppose a year is a good run when I thought it was all up after a week!

Clarabumps · 09/06/2008 21:57

any news from ladymac? I am so sorry if it's bad news..however it might not be...I'm thinking positive thoughts!!
my friend is 6 months and she bled heavily in the first trimester and she and the baby are doing well.. I know this is of noconsequence to you whatsoever but i don't know what else to say. thoughts are with you.xxx

Clarabumps · 09/06/2008 22:00

went to the docs today..12th of Feb for me ladies..all that normal folic acid malarky and the like ..not much else to report apart from i forgot a million things at work today...turned into mush brain. eek

louisebunny · 09/06/2008 22:07

Thanks for all your congrats, I'm hoping to stay around for a good long while, I'll keep you posted!

hope you're doing ok Ladymac, thinking of you xx

Clarabumps · 09/06/2008 22:13

welcome louisebunny!!and congrats..i bet you're delighted!to be honest i haven't told anyone apart from my insupportive friend( see thread earlier!

ladymac · 09/06/2008 22:26

Thanks to everybody for your thoughts.

Sorry if tmi but there is a lot of bright red blood, pain not so bad now. And I feel soooo tired. Have not experienced this before so don't know if this is normal for an early m/c. In my last pregnancy I had a bleed at 10 weeks but then luckily everything was fine.

Hoping to try again soon! Anybody know how long I should leave it?

PinkTulips · 09/06/2008 22:32

[ladymac] hope you went tot the docs and had it checked out as bleeding isn't always the end of a preg.... there's still hope. my thoughts are with you

ruthmollymummy, i was 20 when i had dd, 22 when i had ds and am 24 now having dc3 so think i still fall into the young mum category you'll find that whatever peoples opinions when your pregnant, once that baby comes people just see you as a mom... age doesn't come into it in most peoples minds.

francesrivis, ds is 22 months and still bf morning and night and certainly shows no signs of stopping any time soon so i'm playing it by ear and seeing how far he wants to go with it. it's the second time now i've gotton preg while bfing so i think i've thoroughly trashed that paticular myth

hello to all the newbies....... my wasn't may a busy month can't believe there're so many of us and we're only up to 16th feb!

PinkTulips · 09/06/2008 22:37

wow... sorry for the complete and utter lack of grammer in that post. have just had the most horrendous day and am feeling quite frzzled and delicate.

woke up with chronic hayfever, had a sadistic bastard of a dentist do hideous things to my mouth and am still in agony, fell asleep on the couch at 4.30 when i should have been doing dinner with 2 toddlers running around and all the doors open and am starting to feel seriously bloated and queasy now which is incredibly early for me and is prompting dp to sing 'twins, twins, twins' at me all day long

MissDelighted · 09/06/2008 23:24

Wow, loads of us on the Fab Feb thread now!
Have booked in to see the doctor on Friday, I am hoping I can have an early scan just to make sure, had mc last year so want the reassurance.

Has anyone else's boobs, erm, gone massive?! Mine seem to be growing every day and are very firm - I know it sounds ok but a bit alarming when you're already a decent D cup to start with! Where does it stop (anyone who has already had a LO)? Is the first & last trimester mainly when they grow? At this rate in 7-8 months I will be giving Katie Price a run for her money (only in the boobs department, sadly I don't have a tiny bottom like hers too).

DH thinks the boobs are great but then he doesn't have to worry about growing out of bras/clothes so soon!

PinkTulips · 09/06/2008 23:33

they shrink again after the baby is a few months old sadly

they gradually fill with milk throughout preg and if you're like me you'll wake up with a milk soaked bed from 20 odd weeks onwards

they reach a peak about 2/3 days after birth when your milk comes in... i remember feeling like a barbie doll tottering over to the chemist when dd was 2 days old

Singingintherain · 10/06/2008 07:57

Sorry, I did post earlier with a little more info yesterday. Please could you add me to your list. I am hopefully due during the first week of Feb 1st to 10th. The Nurse says 1st but due to phase and long cycle after mc, I think it is around 10th.

The Nurse does not need to see me until 12 weeks, so I have booked an appointment privately to see my Consultant at 7 weeks.

I remain positive but also dreading it. I am just enjoying thinking I am pregnant for now. I hate scans as this is how I was told I had mc'd three times (but one was false and I carried on for another 6 weeks).

Good luck to everyone here and hope you are ok ladymac. My thoughts are with you.

Singingintherain · 10/06/2008 07:58

Sorry, just noticed I am there. Thank you.

loopylula · 10/06/2008 08:47

Ladymac, I had an early mc (at 6 weeks) in the past and unfortunatley it sounds like you are going through it too. I started charting straight afterwards and I had one annovulatory cycle whilst all my hormones settled then conceived DD the next one. Stay strong honey and keep trying xxx

loopylula · 10/06/2008 08:58

I don't know about anyone else but I am feeling quite crap! Have had virtually no symptoms except an incredible sense of smell but I am sooo unbelievably knackered, very achey and seem to have an upset tummy in the mornings. I thought all the extra progesterone was supposed to constipate you! Sorry if tmi!

Davidsmom ? glad you remember me! I am a lurker too if the truth be told but seeing you start this thread inspired me to type. I stopped bfing DD at 8 months old but its taken 4 months for my cycles to return to normal.

idontbelieveit · 10/06/2008 09:14

hi loopylula, i also have the upset stomach and tiredness.
Went for my midwife ap yesterday and when i said i wanted a home vbac she told me i was being ridiculous. Two of her comments were "we don't know if you can dilate" and "don't you agree with common sense?" she then said "we'll probably recommend a cesarean anyway" without even finding out why my induction failed last time.....She was the locum midwife so am really hoping my proper midwife is more sympathetic.....
My toddler's calling, back later.
