Hi

Couldn't see a Feb thread so thought I would start one as am so excited to get a faint but definately positive HPT.

Fertility friend estimates a due date of 4th Feb.

Unfortunately (or fortunately)am off this afternoon for a hen weekend in Barcelona the first holiday in at least a year and a half and can't drink. Ohh well will have to be the responsible adult..... Hence checking to see if up the duff before I went drowning myself in Sangria.

Hope to see some others on here when I get back!!! If anyone cares to join me?

Hi, i've just found out i'm pregnant. Think i will be due 13/02/09. I'm new to Mumsnet so may need guidance with the 'lingo'

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 13:23

wow, i forgot how fast ante-natal threads move round here

may have trouble keeping up with you all until we move the pc downstairs.

NoNickname, have faith.... it wasn't good news but it most certainly wasn't bad either. i had a scan at 9+4 with dd and all she could see on an internal scan was a little teddybear blob. surely the chances of seeing a baby this early are slim at best. she did see a sac though.... that's a very good sign. i'm sure everything is just fine.

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 14:42

omg... has anyone else's brain turned to complete and utter mush?!

i've made some major fuckups on the money front this week as my mind just can't seem to keep track of the simplest things. paid a bill that didn't need paying and left no money for the arsing car loan.... first time in 2 years i've missed that payment and i would go and do it the same week we're applying for a new loan from them

it's going to have to wait til friday to be paid too as i've dentists appointments fopr us all booked monday and the sky is due out too this week..... not looking forward to the phone call explaining this to them!

Clarabumps... my dd and ds are 18 months apart and it was fantastic, couldn't have gone better. she took to him so well and they're great friends. the only downside has been the drain on me... I've been either pregnant and/or breastfeeding for 4+ years now and have at least another 2 or 3 to go provided this one wants to feed as long as ds seems to. but that said i'd not change the gap between them for anything.

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 15:51

pmsl... has anyone else used more than one due date calculator?

i just went to 17 differant ones (bored, moi? ) and got 6 differant dates; the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 11th

7 of them agreed on the 4th though so i'll change myself to that on the list for now... although i've never made it to my due date yet so it's more likely dd will be sharing her late january birthday tbh

Hello everybody.

Just found out I am pregnant and am delighted though a bit nervous. Don't laugh, but if all goes well this will be no 5! My youngest is 14 months but the other 3 are much older. Think edd is 12th Feb (lmp was May 8th), so it will be a 22 month gap.

My big problem is that it was my hen night last night and I consumed copious amounts of alcohol. We were planning to try and conceive after the wedding. So now I'm panicking a bit. Anyone like to try and reassure me?

goodtiming · 07/06/2008 17:34

clarabumps - I'll have 3 under 2

ladymac - my twins are 14 mths and there will be 22 mths between this one and them

feel dreadful - very sick, very faint & very tired - exactly the same as all the rest (except the one I miscarried ) dh is working 3pm - midnight this week so 8 bedtimes on my own

hi everyone else

LittleMissNorty · 07/06/2008 18:16

Hello ladies.....may I join you

I was due to have an operation on Monday but as I couldn't remember when my last period was, the nurse made me take a test and it was positive .....no op for me then!

Totally unexpected! We already have one DD aged 12 months so a smaller age gap than originally planned!!

So I have no idea when I'm due as I have no idea when my LMP was.....but assuming it was at the beginning of May, that means Feb right?

Sorry to be bit thick but does DC2 mean its your second and DC1 mean its your first?
Everyone seems to have quite a small age gap with their children. I have 1 already who is 3, she will be naerly 4 when my next is due. Anyone have a similar gap?

ruthmollymummy · 07/06/2008 20:20

Hiya and welcome Jelliebaby - I was equally unused to all the abbreviations - along the top it says useful stuff and beside it is says, acronym list - thats a list of all the abbreviations.
and yes DC is dear/darling child
so DD is dear/darling daughter and DS is the same for son.. check it out - it will make mumsnet (MN) life so much simpler!!

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 20:33

hello ladymac and littlemissnorty.

i wouldn't worry about the hen night boozing ladymac.... i didn't have dd's preg confirmed til almost 10 weeks and had a few boozy sessions in the early weeks. as long as you stop now you know no harm done

lol, littlemissnorty, hope the op wasn't for anything too serious. small gaps are good though, in the long run that is! the preg isn't much fun but it'll all be over before you know it and they'll be great friends

Clarabumps · 07/06/2008 20:34

oh ladymac i am due the same day as you!sat with my diary and tried to remember when i had my lmp.
i finally have a nice kitchen=ahh that's better..so no more excuses for going to bed leaving it a tip...well until the baby comes. Still getting used to the idea of another baby...Little miss norty...were you not in the June 07 group too?...i kinda dabbled in that for a bit..but my broadband was a pain in the bum at the time so never managed to catch up.
Jelliebaby- i am still a bit of a nugget when it comes to abbreviations so don't worry about it.
what is everyone doing with their evening?x

LittleMissNorty · 07/06/2008 20:45

Clara - yes still in the June 07 group....you should come along.....so I'm not the only one to have such a close age gap!

Op was for my gall bladder so that'll have to wait now

ruthmollymummy · 07/06/2008 20:48

I need to ask for advice without anyone making fun of me!! I have a very funny tummy this evening can I take some diocalm? (I just had to change and have a shower )

is that ok when PG?

LittleMissNorty · 07/06/2008 20:57

AFAIK you can't take anything.....have you got a MW yet? Can you ring and ask for advice.

Last time, all I could take through whole pg was paracetamol

Hope you feel better soon x

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 21:00

has anyone booked in with their gp or mw yet?

dp is watching crappy movies downstairs so i get to hog the pc for once

watch now this'll be the one night nothing happens around here!

LittleMissNorty · 07/06/2008 21:04

I haven't yet....I'll ring my mw on Monday as I need to have some idea of dates

My GP is usless so I shan't be bothering with that this time.

TummyTrouble · 07/06/2008 21:14

Hi ladies, I'd love to join your thread. I'm due 3/2/2009.

I recently lost a baby and the consultant asked me to contact him when I was pregnant again to book an OSCAR (I think nuchal and bloods). His secretary rang yesterday to book me in for an 8 week scan on 24/06. I haven't talked to my GP yet, but the secretary said I should do it this week so I can get my booking appointment with the mw in the next couple of weeks too.

I thought it was a bit early, but all the meds are more than happy to get on with it, so who am I to object? It will be exciting seeing the baked bean!

Clarabumps · 07/06/2008 21:18

i have an appointment on Monday at 9..my boss made me make it- "just to make sure", she found my pregnancy test wrapper in the office loo and i was the last one in- busted!plus the fact i cant lie to save my life..my face was a picture. My Gp is also useless so i might have to go in with a police siren attached to my head in order for her no notice me. She is the most unsympathetic woman i have ever me in my life.i only dealt with my hospital the last time- they were so helpful!

herbgarden · 07/06/2008 21:29

I've made a private scan appntmnt for 8 weeks so that if there is no viable pregnancy at that stage I don't have to go through the hour long mw appntment taking bloods and talking about delivery - why do they make you do that ?! Might sound pessimisstic but I can't get myself excited until I see a bean with a heartbeat...

There is nothing on the telly to night - I have nothing skyplussed so I'm sitting with laptop on knee with dh watching Portugal v Turkey on the telly, Think I'm going to go up to bed in a minute to read my mindless chick lit.....it's all I can concentrate on at the moment (not a big fan but sometimes quite like it).

Felt a bit queasy at times today and finally have really sore boobs today - just woke up with them. I can't remember for the life of me what I was like first time round which, as I mentioned before either means I have memory loss or that it wasn't that bad ...nunight

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 21:30

LMN, you definitely can't take any medicines but if you should drink lots of water so you don't get dehydrated.

don't drink tea or coffee or milk for a while but ginger ale, carrot juice, ckicken broth and yogurt could all help

hope it clears up soon for you

hmmm, might go this week then.

have never known this early so by the time i realised with the other 2 it was well time i went to the doc (no choice here, gp or nowhere!) but thought i'd look a a bit mad sitting there at barely 6 weeks!

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 21:35

whoops, just realised it was ruthmollymummy who asked about the tummy trouble, no littlemissnorty

sorry!
