I'd better be over here soon!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 18:47

Hmm.. I must look into NCT. A friend told me that the classes get booked up v early in this area.
I phoned and told her our news this morning. She was obviously really pleased for us (and is pg herself with dc2 due March 2009) but then said "Thank goodness you've finally told us!"

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 18:50

LB - LOL I'll give it a go!!

lardybump · 29/10/2008 18:51

what I need to do is preview my posts so that I spot silly spelling mistakes first.... they might even be funny then

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 18:54

I hadn't even notice LB!! I think you get used to reading through spelling mistakes IFYWIM!
Glad someone on here supports a club lower than Spurs though!! Having said that, Brighton & Hove Albion would be my second team... I really know how to pick them!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 18:56

My mum brought the moses basket round earlier. I completely forgot that it was being delivered today!!!

I can't wait to get it out and look at it.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 18:57

Oooh! Fantastic Kay! I always think moses baskets are really cute

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 18:59

Oooh Brighton are my second team too! All my mums family are from down there so we all support them as our second team.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 19:02

Aaah! Brighton is where I'm based with work (although I travel all round East Sussex) and I love the place. Also feel for them with all the stuff they've had to go through to get their ground sorted.
This evening however, it'll be Spurs all the way but I'm not holding out much hope

lardybump · 29/10/2008 19:04

rant alert...

dp is being a prat. DD has just screemed at him and he has blamed her temper on me, saying she has picked it up from me shouting and arguing in front of her.

So couldn't be from him no......... And couldn't be a natural progression for a 19 month old then either no.......... I see so it is all my fault then yes........ What a TWAT......

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 19:04

Right - must go and feed the dogs and get myself some tea before the match! May log on later to wallow in my misery at the match! I'd like to think I won't have to and I'll be celebrating but I can dream...!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 19:06

Sorry LB - x-posted and had to stop and say
What a ridiculous thing to say!! Unfortunately I haven't come across a single child that hasn't had numerous screaming fits / temper tantrums. They're just pushing the boundaries to see what they can get away with.
He is being a twat

lardybump · 29/10/2008 19:16

Thanks ses and tonight I am supporting spurs now........

Tink
Dd1-labour started to get pokey at 1am, but when I went to the hospital at 6am I was 4-5cm then and only just classed as active labour. Had her at 11.32pm that night.

Ds1-had a sweep at 9am pottered about with mild contractions and had a lovely walk in the park with Dh until m/w revisited to check progress at 12 pm, I was 4-5cm, not in too much pain at this point and had him at 4pm.

Ds2-Had first very intense pain at 11.30am, gradually got worse until 2pm when out he came.

I have been advised to expect this one in about 1 hour, eek!

God the pain and shock of going from ripe cervix the day before (but not enough for a sweep), to full on labour pain from the outset was just awful. In 45mins I went from nothing to 7cm dilated and it's safe to say I entered a state of shock....not ....full on physical shock, shaking, vomiting the lot!

They reckon it's safe to estimate that subsequent labours will halve in duration, but not always of course.

Kayz I'd be flapping too . I think when we get to Ds1's birthday on Jan 8th, I'll shit my pants then.

wilsonmummy · 29/10/2008 19:21

Hey all,

I'm being paranoid about these nits, i keep itching!!

Got lots of tummy ache today bit like period pains, hope thats a good sign!

Lb... sorry for dp being a t@*t they always think their right!!!

Tink.. labour lasted 23 hrs with dd1 which ended in emergency c section, only dialted 4 cm's was having eratic contrations and she went into distress! and 21 hrs with dd2 which also ended in a emergency c-section i got to 9 cm then had horrific pain and they thought i was gonna rupture as only 16 mths between them, i was gutted really wanted to have a go at pushing!! so gotta a feelin not gonna have a choice this time!

Been looking at 4d scans today, really tempted to have one, anyone else had one already? are they any good?

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 19:29

Oooh! Sorry Gruff - hope that wasn't me deleting your scan and apologies if it was.

Dogs now fed, just me to feed now as DH away.

We've been having a discussion on the May ante natal thread about cravings. Quite a few of us have been wanting to eat tomatoes a lot more. One evening last week I came home and was desperate for tinned tomatoes heated with frozen peas and I decided to put a bit of pasta in for good measure! Anyone else had any funny cravings?
Quite a few Mums on that thread who have had dc before have also previously craved tomatoes. I'm doing a survey to see if it suggests a boy or a girl. So far one for a boy...

GruffaloSoldier · 29/10/2008 20:00

Hi all - have caught up now!

Dont worry Ses, I think I was wiped off before you posted but thanks for apology anyway! I am off to York (actually Yorkshire but anyway...) a week on Friday for a weekend with DH and some friends to see a friend who lives up there who just gave birth to her third boy in September! I am so excited - we have booked a gorgeous little cottage to stay in by the seaside Have fun in York tomorrow!

I have had a bit of a tough day, kept getting warning sign headaches all day then this afternoon turned into full scale migraine. Im chilling on sofa but still suffering a bit

I was not keen on snowy/icy conditions this morning as my route to work is a bit rural and was thick ice on the road which was very scary in a car Ive only had a month!!! Children I look after were out playing in it at 8.30am - with no gloves - brrr!

I have forgotten loads I know, sorry! Hope everyone is having a nice cosy evening

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 20:37

Has anyone else noticed that Spurs are leading???!!! Ok so there's still an hour to play but we got a goal!!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 20:40

Ok, so we're no longer leading
I'm glad I basked in the glory whilst I could!
I'll shut up now!!

kayzisexpecting · 30/10/2008 06:58

Morning!!

SES!!!!!! What about the football???? 4-4!!! Its so unfair when I fell asleep we were winning when I fell asleep. Have fun in York today. I'll wave in your direction!

Why is everyone coming to Yorkshire when I am unable to see anyone?? I really fancy going to York to do some shopping but I can't really afford it. I really want to go when all the Xmas decorations are up as I love Xmas shopping.

DS got up at stupid o'clock again this morning.

LB, I think you should ignore your DP. My DS is 2 days older than your DD and practically everything you describe about DD could be used for DS. His favourite thing is screaming loudly. I'm surprised I have any ear drums left.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 30/10/2008 07:30

Morning

Kay - I managed to stay awake til the end and I confess to screaming when that final goal went in! Was a v entertaining match!

I'm now on a train to London (Victoria) and then have to get across to Kings Cross for the 9am to York. My friend told her daughter yesterday that I was coming and apparently she got v excited!

GYo · 30/10/2008 07:51

|Morning All

Quick one for Ses before I catch up- have afab weekend in york! hope you are still basking in post scan euphoria!!

kayzisexpecting · 30/10/2008 07:54

I've now missed 2 Arsenal games on tv. I'm going to force DH to ring Sky when he gets home from work.

My DH got paid today so I can go to York but I'm not sure if the bus ride and then shopping will actually kill me.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 30/10/2008 07:55

Thanks GYo!
Mad as it is though, I'm only going for the day!!!!

GYo · 30/10/2008 07:59

Oh wow- thought it was a long weekend!

Have a great time though. how exciting. I love long distance train rides!
