Morning all-

Ses- so thrilled for you! Lovely pictures, you must be thrilled.

Hope you can relax now and enjoy things- easier said than done I know

I was thinking of you all day so thrilled to read your message that all was ok in the afternoon

Hi LB sorry to hear things are getting on top of you. Think pregnancy hormones have huge effect and with the strain of DD being ill and the redundancy its not surprising. Dont beat yourself up too much. Room on the Wagon sofa, come and sit down. You may have to shift all of Tinks Wispa wrappers off though

Nat- How was the playdate? Thanks for bath/choc advice. I always sit there and cant be bothered to move to bath but when I do its utter bliss (though i didnt eat choc in bath!) felt much better after

Hi CWFX and BB

Diege how are you this morning? Really feel for those with bad sickness must be awful awful awful.

GYo · 29/10/2008 08:08

Hi Kay! sorry I missed you...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 29/10/2008 08:16

Good morning

It went well yesterday, lots of clearing up in his room after but I expected that. They even ate their dinner one of them proclaimed my (out of a tin, chuck in the microwave) sweetcorn to be "the best sweetcorn EVER" I like her, she can come again!! DS1 is going to one of their houses this afternoon, so should have a bit more of a quieter afternoon today!

Time for catch up, and there is loads so bear with me....

Kay, glad things are getting sorted slowly, there is something very theraputic about setting it all up in a new house, but it is also knackering at the best of times!

GYo, hope you are in a brighter mood today, but I spent from about 20-25 weeks in a big bad mood, not much better now TBH, but I find myself getting so pissed off with myself for being pissed off over nothing that I make myself get out of the mood somehow!

Wilson, good on you for getting yourself on the MW list

Glask, hooray for bargains, lucky day for you yesterday, hope you bought some lotto tickets!

Diege, you have deffo done the right thing re. work, and I am no expert but now it's done no doubt you'll feel a lot less put upon, which will hopefully make things easier with the sickness anyway?

LB, agree with everyone, we are only human, and every now and then it shows! I expect your DD has forgotten all about it. Hope you manage to get a break soon though, could you get DH to take DD out for a few hours at the weekend, when your not working, just so you can have a break?

And Sorky, I saw you hugging LB

BB Hiya sweetie How are things?

Ses, I am so happy and relieved for you YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!!!! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww And the pictures are very clear, even I can make them out (am notorious for not being able to 'see' scan pics, even my own!!) Your dream also made me PMSL DH's never snore. Ever.

Right, I am off to get ready and go into town, the DS's have a Hallowe'en disco on Friday so need to get their costumes sorted.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 08:21

Awww - thanks NJ Your post("YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!!!! ") gave me a lovely warm fuzzy giggly feeling!!

Glad play date went well and that you may have a bit of a quieter day today.

GYo · 29/10/2008 08:24

HI Nat- great about the sweetcorn comment- what a lovely kid!

Gruff- just saw your post, I should really read through properly - I know what you mean about excitement regarding finding the sex of each others- cant imagine what it will be like when babies start arriving! We will need a wagon nursery!

Diege · 29/10/2008 08:36

Hello! Feeling a bit better this morning, which of course I am worrying about . Think yesterday was a particualrly bad day, and now hormones are settling back to 'normal' levels. I know it is normal for sickness to fluctuate etc, but can't help feeling a bit worried that symptoms are lessening...feel free to tell me to shut up .
Hope you get a chance to relax this afternoon NAT - are both boys at playdate?
SES, lol at dream and thnaks for offer of sounding board - I think I will need it by next week's scan .
Hello to everyone else - it is very frosty and icy here. Am not planning on leaving the house!

GYo · 29/10/2008 08:44

Hi Diege- glad you are feeling ok- maybe knowing you dont have to go anywhere and can rest has helped you feel less sick. Also must be wt of shoulders telling work- which has to help

Snow in my part of the world too this morning. Weirdly hard and icey and it was very cold although a lovely morning.

Enjoy being at home and dont forget to rest even though you are feeling ok! (bossy hat removed!)

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 08:45

Morning Diege and GYo!

Diege - absolutely my sickness (although comparatively mild) has come and gone so please don't worry. (I also know that's easy for me to say!) But just think, your scan is only next week!! Although I did worry a little still after my early scan, I did find it v reassuring and am sure you will too.

2beautifulgalsandabean · 29/10/2008 08:48

Morning everyone

Congratulations ses the piccy is fab very clear of your little peanut. So are you going to start indulging in some purchases now? My scan is next Friday and i can't wait

Diege sorry you are feeling poorly, at least you are feeling a little better today, but 'SHUT UP' You know that sickness comes and goes and the more you over analyse the worse it will come back and bite you later

NJ glad the playdate went well and you have a more peaceful afternoon today.

Sorry everyone else i have serious preghead and can't rememeber what else i read.

Diege you'll be feeling better for the yoghurt and sips of water.
Think of sickness like a small, bored child.
If you give them something to do, no matter how small, they're occupied and relatively trouble free.
Ignore them and they whine on forever, getting worse to the point where you need hospitalisation

The rest you had yesterday and relief at explaining to and being understood by work will have lifted some of the weight too.

Take it easy sweetie. It'll pass soon enough x

hiya everyone

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 29/10/2008 09:08

gyo - lol @ wispa wrappers

Diege · 29/10/2008 09:11

Thanks for the reassurances . Yes, I think I was particualrly stressed yesterday about work, and that's why I was vomiting rather than just being sick. Honestly, I won't be happy unless I'm on a drip in hospital . And thanks 2BG for the shut up - wow snow! Where about in the country are you?

GYo · 29/10/2008 09:19

Im in Surrey, down on the surrey/hampshire border so its quite rural and gets cold at night but we arent very high up.

Brrrr

Heebeejeebee · 29/10/2008 10:19

Morning all!

Ses - I'm so glad the scan went well - such a clear picture too! PMSL about your dream

Diege - glad to hear about your sickness not being so bad, but completely understand about feeling worried - its no good either way, is it?!

GYo - I'm in Surrey and we had snow too! In fact a lot of the trains seemed to be up the spout because of it..

NJ - glad the party went well. You can definitely relax today!

Hi all!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 10:29

I want snow Its just bloody freezing here. My gloves have vanished so I'm guessing they are in a box.

Anyone know how to get rid of cramp? I've had awful cramp in my calf since yesterday morning and its horrible.

Diege · 29/10/2008 10:37

Kay, eat a banana (potassium helps), avoid pointing your toes, and try and do some stretching exercises (calf stretch against wall). Always helped with my cramps.
Feeling reassuringly crap again, though hoping to avoid throwing up today!
No snow here yet! I hate the stuff so very pleased

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 10:47

Ewwww banana yuck!!! I'll do everything but the banana. It did come on after I stretched out and pointed my toes.

I hope your sickness doesn't get any worse.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 10:55

Hi again! Just logging on before a friend and her 2 dc come round.

I'm in (east) Surrey and we had snow overnight - it's still there and melting only v slowly!

Diege - hope your crapness stays at the reassuring stage and gets no worse.

Thanks for all the for my bean! I'm still grinning too!!

Diege · 29/10/2008 11:05

LOL KAY mmm, go on just a tiny taste of banana, maybe with some ice cream?
Enjoy your friend's vists SES. I have friend with baby twins coming round on Friday which will be lovely.
Right, I must get dressed!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 11:06

DS is being very clingy today. Normally he wouldn't really care about having a cuddle but today he hasn't stopped coming for kisses and cuddles. It hasn't stopped him misbehaving though.

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 29/10/2008 11:41

went to tesco i am knacknered now still cant get off to sleep very well.
feel really tired then turn out light and lie down and nothing happens keep tossing and turning
think i am knackered due to being 29 weeks tom, clocks going back and we were busy @ the weekend with dhs family
hoping it was just a passing tired but no
assuming that it must be normal to feel knackered @ this stage
how long did your labours last ladies?
my first was 35 hrs from first contraction hoping that this one will be alot quicker

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 11:44

Mine was 20 hours from first contraction but they only count it from when you are 5cm dilated so my labour was actually 4 hours 12 minutes. So I've been told to expect it to be about 2 hours.

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 29/10/2008 11:47

i bought 0-3 month sleepsuits and vest in tesco
cute fluffy pink boots 0-3 months, flowery newborn top and cute red shoes reduced to £1.50
there are too many cute things for girls

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 11:51

Oh I know Tink. I was in Mothercare last week and all the girls clothes were just so adorable.
