Diege · 29/10/2008 12:03

Wow Tink sounds like a good haul .
Re: labour length, dd1 was 36 hours, dd2 4 hours, dd3 5 hours. I would certainly expect your second to be a lot faster!

Cosmogirl · 29/10/2008 12:40

Hi ladies,

Sorry to hear bout sickness Diege, but glad you got something sorted with work - must be a relief. Still nauseous and throwing up once a day, but it's a lot better than it was. Chocolate helps! I've gained a bit more weight recently but still 10 pounds below pre-preg weight.

Exciting to see the scan list gain GYo - not long until yours! Mine seems ages away and plus it is at 22 weeks rather than 20 so bit bummed about that, but oh well. We will defo find out sex if they are able to tell us. Can't wait to find out!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 29/10/2008 12:55

Cosmo- glad the sickness is getting much better for you!! Mine seems to have improved loads now too... i'm normally sick once first thing, sometimes it'll be up to about 3 times maybe, but much better than a couple of weeks ago!!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 14:29

Glad your sickness is better Cosmo. I find it strange how some people get it so badly and then other people don't get it at all.

I've got a quiz that people do to raise money for charities(sp), scouts etc and I have to say its the hardest one I have ever got before. Its almost impossible.

wilsonmummy · 29/10/2008 14:29

Hey all!!

Oh my, just discovered my dd2 has nits!!! oh the shame [h!! Have no idea where she's got them from as she doesn't go to school yet!! checked dd1 hair and she has nothing!! Gotta get it sorted quick, going to hairdressers tomorrow at 9am!!!

On another note, my midwife contacted me today so that was super quick i only put name on list on monday!! she's ace bless her she helped me with both previous pregnancies!!

Can't stop eating at the moment, must be pychological cos no way bump needing this much food!!!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 14:39

We're having a slight flap on the Dec 08 ante-natal thread. Its November in 2 days and then it's only a month until December.

Diege · 29/10/2008 14:47

Ooh Kay how exciting. I well remember that moment when you realise it's a matter of weeks rather than months!!!
WILSON - don't panic - we went through nit thing very recently. The best thing I got was something called a Nitty Gritty comb - you can get it free on prescription, other wise about £10. It can be used with normal conditioner and takes out eggs and well as nits.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 29/10/2008 15:21

Afternoon

God it is freeeeeeeeezing out there! Absolutely bitter! Got frozen in town this morning, came home, had lunch, shoved DS1 out of the door, put DS2 into bed, slept on sofa for an hour or so, DS2 wakes up, and I think I fancy getting out of the house, so went for a walk around the shop, hands are so cold I can barely type, noses running all over the place, our poor ears are burning, and little DS2 eyes are streaming. Last time we go for a walk! I bought him some little Timberland copy type boots in town, so he is clumping around all over the place, pointing to his feet going 'Sooes' (Shoes!)

Brain picking time, do (or have) any of you felt like you're getting cramp in your bump? At the bottom? It's not in my bump more my almost inexistant stomache muscles, really quite low down (though I suppose it would depend on where your muscles end up!!) It kind of just aches on and off, and stops you standing up straight for a little while when you first stand up.

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 29/10/2008 15:48

hi

it is cold have had heating on loads.
have just tidyed up all the rooms and put baby clothes that need abit more drying into airing cupboard to make room for the next load out of machine.

Heebeejeebee · 29/10/2008 16:24

Thought I'd better add myself to the scan list

28th Oct- Ses 12wk - hurray been and gone
4th Nov- Gyo 20wk
4th Nov - Heebeejeebee, 7 wk 2
6th Nov - Diege, 7 wk 3 days.
7th Nov - 2beautifulgalsandabean - 12wk?
28th Nov- Glaskham 20wk (Boy/girl??)
21st Nov - Cosmo 20 wk

I have the date for my 12 week scan too, but I'm going to wait until after next week to add that one...

NJ your ds sounds so sweet!!!

Hi to everyone else [waves]

lardybump · 29/10/2008 17:04

Evening all.

I have had a lovely day with dd. We got wrapped up warm and went to leeds castle with friends. She had such a lovely day and keeps telling dp about it.....

Diege although I feel for you at the same time I am really pleased you are feeling sick iykwim.....

NJ hope your little ones are all warmed up not.

Tink I am going to go shopping for a few bits for the baby on saturday. We dont really need anything but i am feeling guilty that we are not taking enough notice of this pregnancy.

Kay hope ds is feeling better now.

Ses hope you get an early night and a late morning.

Hi to everyone else.....

As for labour my waters broke at 4pm on the Tuesday afternoon and dd was born at 10:35 on the thursday morning. I was 9cm dialated at 6 pm on the wednesday afternoon but it still took 16.35 mins and emergency interception to get her out.... I am praying that this one is more straight forward and has a smaller head and doesn't get stuck etc etc etc....

lardybump · 29/10/2008 17:09

NJ I mean now sorry

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 29/10/2008 17:28

Yep Tink, also cranked the heating up, but am now sweltering! Can't win

LB, sounds like a better day, make sure you relax and sleep as best you can tonight though, else tomorrow you'll be cream crackered again. Though sometimes I find when I get really run down, to force yourself to do something like a castle outing makes you feel better. Maybe just the change of routine and being somewhere where your not working/cooking/cleaning/worrying about the mundane things makes the difference? They say a change is as good as a rest.

DS2 has a new favourite TV program, he is very much into fire engines (or 'nee-nahs' as they're known in this house!) so Fireman Sam is topping the bill this week. Thing is, he only really watches telly for about half an hour so he gets annoyed when it's time to do something else and he hasn't watched all of his favorites, which are building up... must admit I am very tempted just to put his programs on and leave him to it bad bad bad mum!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 17:50

Hello!

Had a lovely time with my friend and her ds1 (my godson who's just started school and will be 5 in December) and her ds2 (who's nearly 6 months). In fact her ds2 was born exactly a year to the day before my due date! She also gave me a large carrier bag of maternity clothes!!

LB - glad you had a better day. In fact it sounds like a fab day

As for me getting an early night and a late morning, I don't think it's going to happen, but my fault this time. Tonight (I'm a closet footie fan) I want to watch the football. I won't admit to which team I support as they've had such an appalling start to the season. If I say that we're languishing at the bottom of the Premiership and finally - after a change of manager - have one our first league match of the season, you will either have guessed or be so bored by the topic of football that you're now asleep!
Then tomorrow I've decided to go on a mad visit to my friends in York (I think I've mentioned them before) for the day! I'll be getting a train at 7.29am which, once I've got across London, gets me to York just after 11am and then I'm getting the train back again at about 4.30pm! A bit mad but will be well worth it to see them and their dd who turned 3 on Sunday.
I'll be MNing from my phone whilst on the train!

Yay for scans! I've got my 21 week scan booked so will adjust the scan list:

4th Nov- Gyo 20wk
4th Nov - Heebeejeebee, 7 wk 2
6th Nov - Diege, 7 wk 3 days.
7th Nov - 2beautifulgalsandabean - 12wk?
28th Nov- Glaskham 20wk (Boy/girl??)
21st Nov - Cosmo 20 wk
29th Dec - Ses 21 wk

Also adjusting due date list with my revised date:

Kayzisexpecting, 22, DC2, EDD: 12/12/08 - Its a boy!!
Teuch, 31, DC2, EDD: 29/12/09

Heebeejeebee, 36, DC1, EDD 22/06/09
Wilsonmummy, 28, DC3, EDD 30/06/09

Right! Think that's all in order now!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 18:11

I've just had my first bath in the house(I've had showers so dont worry). Its not very wide and it has very straight sides so it's a bit uncomfortable.

Ses, you have my sympathy. You Spurs fans sure deserve it. But you won't win tonight, my beloved Arsenal will!!! Our Sky hasn't been done yet so I can't watch it I wanna cry!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 18:13

Oh no Kay!!! You're not a gooner living all the way up north???!!!
I'm afraid to say that even with St Harry I think you're right and we will suffer a pounding tonight
I'll be watching the misery

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 18:17

Of course I'm right. With wonder Walcott we're bound to win!!!!

I do like the name Theo but DH has firmly put his foot down!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 18:25

Good - your DH has some sense!!

I have to say I was suprised there was no sports section (never mind football section) on MN so I decided that I was the only footie fan! My DH hates football. As an Irishman, he loves his rugby. I'm trying to persuade him that any DC will support England in the football and Ireland in the rugby. I think that's fair!

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 18:30

Well DS is called Freddie so it will continue an Arsenal players theme so we cant call him Theo.

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 29/10/2008 18:33

hbj - not long till your scan

lb - your day sounds great and ye for baby shopping

look out for nct sales they are great too still cant stop thinking about my baragins

will be buying toys for baby 15th of next month in toys rus cant wait. have lots from dd want to get a couple of different ones for when she is older

ses your day tom sounds good

kayzisexpecting · 29/10/2008 18:40

I would love to go to a NCT sale but the closest is about 40 miles away.

lardybump · 29/10/2008 18:40

Ses what you need to do is buy a newspaper. Turn to the football section and look at the leagur table..... Then turn it upside down and you can say that spurs are at the top of the table.... he he he he he he....

Dont know what I am laughing about I support crystal palace........ dp is a gooner though so they are my second team..... Agree with kay re freddy he was a dish.....
