NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/10/2008 16:06

I love this one:

It's exactly the type of face I'd have on if I had that hat on!

Heebeejeebee · 20/10/2008 16:43

Hi there

NJ - it is indeed an auspicious day then!!!

Diege - snap! Though I agree that its not likely to be that! I'm not too bad - quite lightheaded and aching norks (embarassingly I keep prodding them to make sure they still hurt). I'm not too bad during the day, then get really tired in the evening. How are you? I keep ricocheting (sp?)from feeling happy, to terrified. I'd forgotten how slowly time goes...

lardybump · 20/10/2008 17:27

Evening all. Diege sorry your gp was not more helpful. Hi to everyone else. I have the normal faces how do I get the new ones????

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/10/2008 17:27

I am prodding my boobs every five minutes as well, though it is to make sure I'm not leaking everywhere! LOL

I have just completely gutted our bedroom, me, nesting? Nope, got family coming at the weekend! Though why I start the tidy up with our room, when they are very likely to not even go in there I don't know! Our room has been piled high with all the stuff for the baby, which is now in the baby's room, but when it was in our room I literally had to squeeze passed huge boxes to get into bed, now I can not only walk normally round there, but I could even do a bit of a jig if the fancy took me!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/10/2008 17:29

Evening LB I don't know how to get the faces up, they just appeared for me, maybe try refreshing the page?

How are you doing?

kayzisexpecting · 20/10/2008 17:33

I really feel like I have over done it today. But if I list what I have done its nothing really. I just went to the supermarket which is literally 30 seconds over the road and I now feel like I have run a marathon.

I'm having to dodge boxes everywhere now. Its quite annoying but I don't mind too much as I know we will be moved soon.

lardybump · 20/10/2008 17:33

I am ok. DP is working late again tonight so I have dd while trying to work.... not good and she is really playing up!!!! apart from that I am ok thanks. Still havent heard back from payrol. apparently they are taking legal advise, I just hope it is sorted soon.

How are you now? You should be taking it easy not doing everything NJ!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/10/2008 17:35

Wrinkly bath and a take away tonight Kayz (don't mention the carseat/take away bargain till tomorrow!! )

Talking of food, I suppose I'd better get these some dinner, I may be back, if not, have a lovely evening everyone - take it easy Kayz, g'night all xxx

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/10/2008 17:39

Sorry LB, this 'taking legal advice' is a PITA no? You'd think they'd try and do everything they can to help out, not everything they can to get away with it. Can you take a night off from work?

BTW, the faces, I've just noticed, they have gone back to normal, I think they were having problems with the sad face, maybe they've had to re-set them or something?

I am OK thanks, I am still absolutely shattered but, compared to everything else that went on last week I can handle a bit of tiredness! I have my BP check tomorrow, and I'm going to ask her to do my bloods, see what comes of it.

Right on with dinner! G'night all xxx

kayzisexpecting · 20/10/2008 17:46

I think I might kill my MIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has just rung moaning about this weekend being too soon to move in, I let DH do too much(despite him never listening when I do tell him to take it easy) and that I have a new large house to look after and I should make sure I keep it tidy!! What does she think I do?? Live in a pigsty!!!!!!!

Bloody woman!!!!!!

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 20/10/2008 17:52

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/10/2008 19:48

Evening all- sorry haven't posted since sat... been very busy... doing nothing at all really, if that makes sense??

Sunday we went to mums and had a roast dinner and spent the afternoon lazing about before bedtime... then today DS was back at nursery so took him, then took DD to a surestart mum and toddler group which was fun, ended up talking about my home birth, and ended up almost tutoring 5 women on breastfeeding and all are now converts for their next/first children!!! felt ever so proud of myself!!

The surestart staff were some of the women i was chatting to, they were all asking questions etc, and they both said they think the surestart midwife may want me to give talks at her anti-natal classes and at some workshops next week as its national breastfeeding week!! cant help but feel a bit chuffed!!

Diege · 20/10/2008 20:44

Yahay GLASK that's great news! Our first wagon celebrity . Seriously though if you can be supportive and let people know how its done you can be very proud. Just wished you lived closer!
LB, you are definitiely entitled to maternity pay - it's a no brainer and can be found easily on the net. They are just trying to make you sweat, the ba*tards .
TINK - sounds like a great day with your mum .
NAT, def. insist to have bloods done tomorrow. Will it be the same midwife?
KAYZ, you are a saint to put up with that woman..can't she be pleased for you? What a nutter...
Hi HEEB my labour-buddy I have the same symptoms, light headedness, increasingly sore boobs, and also terrible insomnia and metal mouth. No proper nausea as yet...
Another early night I think as woke at 4.30 last night after dh knocked a book onto the floor and I couldn;t get back to sleep... Night all, speak tomorrow x

SesHasapinkline · 21/10/2008 07:50

Morning!

Glaskham - am v impressed with you!!! Can I come and listen to one of your talks?!

Diege - hope you slept better last night. Great that you've had that GP appointment. Fingers crossed you get that early scan. About 8 weeks was good for me as despite the wait, it was fairly clear and could see hb.

Kay - your mil sounds a nightmare

NJ - hope BP all ok today. Sounds like you had a busy wkend!

My 12 week scan is a week today! Had awful indigestion and trapped wind yesterday so hoping that's a good sign.

kayzisexpecting · 21/10/2008 08:04

Morning,

Glask, that is great news!!

Going back to the house today to do some more measuring. I'm also going to take some paint samples and paint some squares on the walls. We know what blue we are painting DS's room but we're not sure if 1 coat will cover the pink!!

YAY for scan in a week Ses!!

Hope everyone is ok.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 21/10/2008 08:11

Good morning (well I think it's morning, you'd never know because it is still dark GRRRR)

Have had a shitty night's sleep, DS2 woke up before we even went to bed, he was so blocked up he couldn't breathe through his nose, so everytime he had to breathe through his mouth it came out as a 'OMG I'm gonna die' type wimper.... so he has been in our bed all night and I kept dreaming wierd dreams, one that I had to stay in hospital till the birth, and DH got sacked because he'd taken too much time off work, another , and another dream that is only coming back in bits, and I'm not sure what I dreamt, or what was real... Anyway....

Kayz, I have heard that MIL soup is delicious, season with a touch of salt and pepper, bung her in the pot with plenty of stock to soften her up a lot bit, and serve with fresh crusty bread - loverly

Tink, sounds like you had fun with your mum yesterday

Glask, you are braver than me, I BF both of mine, DS1 was a disaster, DS2 was perfect, but not sure I could put my finger on why they were so different! Good for you though, good luck with it

Ses, only a week to go, hasn't it gone quickly?! (Probably not for you, but it has this end!!)

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 21/10/2008 08:19

morning

glas - well done u sounds great
diege - hope you slept better
ses-only a week 2 go very exciting
kay-house plans r exciting

mymum brought over more of dds baby toys have finished washing the last of the soft toys
sorted out 3-6 month clothes and booties plus cute next soft shoes.

feel knackered today
dd woke @ 6am again and not any earlier.
we dont have to leave till 11am for dds swimming lesson.
cant believe that it is going to be wed tom already.
cant wait till nct sale
i had to have bloods done yesterday as seeing the midwife tom aft

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 21/10/2008 08:23

morning nat - sorry for lack of sleep

GYo · 21/10/2008 08:31

Morning all

Sounds like a few people had bad nights. Nat- sympathise with DS2 breathing through mouth- DH does this a lot and drives me mental. Had to find the ear plugs last night!

Hi Kay- did you decide on a car seat in the end?

Hey Ses- 7 days and counting , it really has come around quick! So 1 wk for you means 2wks for me, til my mid preg scan!

Im 19wks today - and beany seems to step up a grade in its movement skills. It was really wriggling around last night. Could feel it from the outside as well. So I call DH in from his study (Dh in foul mood last night so grunts/ moans about leaving the desk) - beany immediately lays still - clearly got its father sussed already!

Morning to everyone else- Diege, hope you had an better night, though the Wagon sofa is prepped for a day of lounging under blankets for those who didnt get much sleep. I will budge up !

kayzisexpecting · 21/10/2008 08:58

No we haven't really decided. But someone on my ante-natal thread wants to buy our pram so we can afford to buy one a bit more expensive. I am tempted by a birth to 4 years one as then we won't need to buy another one for a while.

sorkycake · 21/10/2008 09:26

morning all.

God I'm shattered. Have had 2 nights of weird, horrid dreams.

I've got 3 huge bags of baby girl clothes sitting in our futility room which I must tackle today.

Have ordered more gorge nappies (pink and sage) yesterday from Flame along with cute woolly wraps to match here and here
Sorkyboy is piddling everywhere so I also had to fork out for new style training pants for him.

Still have a pool, car and buggy to pay for .

Beginning to wonder if I can afford to keep this baby once she gets here

I'm trying not to think about who's going to sleep where and when to start the moving of small people etc.

GruffaloSoldier · 21/10/2008 10:58

Morning everyone,

sorry for those of you who have had bad nights.

Im having a great week off but unfortunately suffering with my sinuses still and am very headachey this morning - boo!

Still in my pjs and havent yet done anything useful, tempted to just go back to sleep!

Going to be a very unproductive day methinks!

Hi GYo - that must be amazing feeling the baby getting more and more active. I cant believe its almost your 20 week scan! Have you decided what to do about the sex yet?

Ses - not long now for you!It will soon be here!

GYo · 21/10/2008 11:15

Hi Gruff
Very envious re PJs Enjoy doing nothing !

Im WFH today so not so bad but not the same as PJs!

Sorry to hear you are still suffering.

When is your scan? should dig out the scan wait list really....

Its quite odd feeling the baby moving- very exciting but still odd most odd. Still unsure about finding out the sex. I really want to hang on for the suprise but we keep calling it a "he" which we have got too used to! Finding it hard to visualise a female mini GYo! - so will probably dither until the day... then decide we want to know at last minute only to find legs crossed!

Just made hot chocolate here- on grounds that I need the calcium was yum!
