Hello!!

Today has been much better. Our new wireless thing came so our broadband has been set up in time for us to move and need it re-setting up. But it means I can lounge sit on the sofa with the laptop.

Glask, please come and clean my new house next week. I just don't have the energy. Luckily we have lots of friends who have offered to help with cleaning, packing etc

Oh and I have won my first thing on Ebay!!!!! I am so chuffed. Its a baby sling that I really wanted and I got it for £15 less than in the shops!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 15:33

Kayz- if i could drive i'd be there in a flash...

I've now finished hoovering, and am planning on cleaning the fish tank... DH will be ever so pleased with how much i've done... and i can still have a good couple of hours MNing or on the sofa doing nothing much!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 15:39

oh and your ebay win sounds good!! i've bought a front carrier off there for this one... it's the same one i had for the other 2 DC's but sold/passed on when we didn't think we were having any more.

I am thinking of getting a sling so i can carry them in it till an older age, would be handy for bus trips etc... could only carry the other 2 in the front carriers until about 4 mths, but got more than my moneys-worth out of it in that time!!

SesHasapinkline · 19/10/2008 08:41

Glaskham - v impressed with your achievements yesterday. Maybe more lie ins for all of us!?

Well I don't know whether to say I had a rotten evening or a reassuring one. Cooked us a lovely curry for tea but midway through started to realize food was becoming less and less appealing. Dished myself up a small portion but only managed a few mouthfuls. I wanted to eat it as it tasted and looked so yummy but I just couldn't! Then was so tired, went to sleep during X Factor! Had been looking forward to it all day! Will catch the repeat today...

Am feeling ok so far this morning but have my parents coming round for lunch and to see the new house for the first time. Meant to be cooking roast pork with apple pie for pudding. Just hope I'll be able to eat some - partly as it should be yummy and partly as my mum will fuss so if I don't eat properly. She is the most fussy person I know and it's smothering!

Anyway, maybe I should just shut up and be grateful for some symptoms!!

kayzisexpecting · 19/10/2008 08:42

Good Morning!!

I slept all night last night and still I feel tired this morning!!!

Phil and Teds have bought out new Graffiti colours and they are really cool. But I don't know when they are coming out so I'll have to stick with the plain one.

I hope everyone is having good weekends.

SesHasapinkline · 19/10/2008 08:47

Morning Kay

Glad you had a good sleep but boo for tiredness. Maybe this thread should be for wrecked wagoners?!

Has anyone heard from NJ? I know she's often quieter at wkends but hope she's ok.

Diege · 19/10/2008 09:37

Morning! Hope you manage the food today SES!
EXcellent e-bay bargain Kay! You must be pleased to tick something else off the list .
GLASK, what are your plans for today? 'Doing nothing' sounds great .
Lecture-writing for me today, though rather hard with dds running around. I'm half regretting taking on the extra work as it is eating into my weekends. Still, the extra money is worth it at the moment, plus not too hard when I get into it. Odd writing a moduloe and not delivering it - I do wonder what the students think about the materials!?!
Dr's tomorrow to get the pregnancy in the 'system'. Wish I was feeling a bit sick by now; 5 weeks tomorrow, so who knows it may be round the corner

Diege · 19/10/2008 09:38

Oh and SES I've been thinking about NJ too - hope she's OK. Maybe give out a honk tomorrow if she's not about?

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 19/10/2008 10:29

Diege · 19/10/2008 10:34

Great shopping TINKS Will there be anything left in the shops for the rest of us?
I have decided that if I get as far as my early scan I will treat myself to some maternity things from Isabella Oliver .

kayzisexpecting · 19/10/2008 10:40

I am so jealous of all the shopping!!

I'm waiting for our sure start grant to come through so I can get my P&Ts. Then I can use it as a single with just DS for a few weeks to get used to it. I sent the form on Thursday so it should hopefully come through one day this week.

We get the keys to the house tomorrow!! We are arguing over paint colours. Its only the front room that is causing any problems.

They are all lovely Tink.

I do like the Rainforest mobile. Its so cute!!!

Diege · 19/10/2008 10:54

Wow Kays that's great for tomorrow It must be so exciting moving to somewhere new before new baby arrives .
TINKS, love the rainforest gym. Cot mobiles look good too. I suppose my only (personal) concern with mobiles for the cot is that they may keep the baby too stimulated for sleep iyswim? I was very 'old school' though with dds, keeping cots for sleep and nothing else (followed good old GF on that one ).

Diege · 19/10/2008 15:11

tumbleweed city Come on guys, I'm going to have to get that lecture written if no-one will distract me

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 19/10/2008 16:13

hi

we went into town had lunch in mcdonalds and had a look around shops.
just bought all dds old soft toys in the machine on a delicate wash.

just watching xfactor result now

GYo · 19/10/2008 16:55

Hi Everyone

Diege- how is the lecture writing going?

Hey Tink- how have the soft toys come out? Will they have to dry on the radiator Can remember doing the same to my soft toys when small- they'd be so soft and fluffy after

I've been busy today doing painting, managed a gym trip for first time in ages and now Im relaxing with MN/ TV, Cup of tea, and a Twirl . Taking Dh out to tea later at Wagamamas as a break for his studies.

Been trying to write list of what to get everyone for xmas. Want to try and do as much as poss online since long shopping trips are hard work now, so dont expect to get easier as bump expands.

Also wondering about NJ- hope all is well

GruffaloSoldier · 19/10/2008 18:59

Hello everyone!

Gyo - I LOVE wagamama! Which one you going to, Guildford? Yummy Im supposed to be doing a roast but might have to do it tomorrow, as the carrot cake I made is still cooking in the oven! I have been feeling very domesticated so been on the go all day, which means that unfortunately I am now EXHAUSTED.

Gyo - I have also being writing list of what to get peeps for christmas and scouting round for ideas. Almost 9 weeks to go

Diege - hope the lecture is coming along nicely!

Kayz - how exciting re getting keys - hope move goes smoothly!

Right need to flake out again! I'll be lurking though

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 19/10/2008 19:27

soft toys have come out well they are hanging on my clothes horse.

gyo - you have been busy
i have sorted out dds xmas pressies online

gruff - you put your feet up

SesHasapinkline · 19/10/2008 19:32

Well parents came and ate and I enjoyed my lunch too! I even ended up making two puddings - apple pie and a bread and butter pudding and I had a portion of each!!

Kay - great news re getting the keys! That seems v quick

Diege - hope the writing went ok. Sorry for the tumbleweed not distracating you!

tink - I have a picture in my head of all these sodt toys dangling over the clothes horse looking v cute!

Gruff - definitely rest up this evening after a busy day!

As for all of you getting sorted for Christmas,I haven't started yet! Must start having a think...

kayzisexpecting · 19/10/2008 20:48

Evening.

We went to my Mum's for the afternoon and for dinner. DS has been in a funny mood all day. He was fighting sleep so has been very grumpy. He eventually fell asleep on mums sofa.

Mum is going to take me shopping one day this week for paint and other house stuff.

I hope you all had good Sundays.

Nat, I hope you are ok and just having a weekend off.

Diege · 19/10/2008 21:35

Evening GRUFF you are a domestic goddess , Hope you're enjoying a well-deserved rest.
TINKS: sounds a very productive day - good to get those jobs out of the way .
SES: sounds a lovely meal,, and good that you could actually eat some . Don't worry, I'm not the least sorted for xmas. I have to get dds 2&3 Nov birthdays out of the way first before I can contemplate xmas shopping .
GYO, how was wagamamas? It's probably my favorite restaurant - really love the soups and vegi dumplings. Mmm, could tuck in to some now...
KAYZ, good luck for tomnorrow! Hope it all goes as smoothly as moving can!
Well lecture is written and I am finally relaxing after the Sunday night turmoil of finding PE kits, doing lucnh boxes etc etc.
Have a work from home day tomorrow which will make Tues hectic at work but well worth it on balance!
Off to watch the snooker now Don't laugh at me! Was a huge fan as a teenager and travelled up and down the country with my dad going to the televised tournaments. Just starting to get into it again after a break of about 18 years!
Night all x

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/10/2008 07:28

Good morning

So sorry to have worried anyone, everything is fine I think. I am managing to wee a couple of times a day, swelling is still here but I suppose that is one of the joys... I have my BP check tomorrow, I think it should be OK, if it is, I think that'll be the end of it for now. There's not a lot more that could do for me, short of admitting me for the forseeable, and since I wouldn't let them do that anyway, they are fighting a losing battle!

Have had busy busy busy weekend, well DH has, I have been sat barking out instructions! I gave in and let him buy his sodding telly, bloody thing is a nightmare to clean, DS2 keeps leaving finger prints all over it, but I figured DH deserved a bit of a treat, so we spent Saturday morning on the train taking the boys out for a treat (DS2's first train ride and he loved it!), we spent Saturday afternoon in Currys getting the telly (and the stand, and the cables, and the god knows what else you need to make them work!), then DH spent all of Saturday night putting the bloody thing together and setting it up, then he spent yesterday painting the baby's room It is done up there now, just waiting for the furniture to be made and delivered and I can put all the bits in and it's done

I have read everything but not sure how much I can remember!

Diege, also a slight snooker fan here (i.e. would never stay in to watch it, but if I notice it's on, and cbeebies isn't leading the way we would normally put it on) Enjoy the MN working from home day

Kay, don't panic about the baby being head down yet, it means absolutely nothing I'm afraid, especially in second+ pregnancies, mine has been head down for a few weeks now, though every now and then he does a bit of a shift about because I get the kicks in my fanjo, but mostly he is head down. Hoorah for the keys, you're going to be busy this week!

Glask, hope you are managing to stay on top of the sickness now?

Feel all smug reading your tales of xmas prep, I am nearly finished, have a few pressies to buy for nephews/mum/MIL, oh and DH's, have food to buy, cards, decs, and wrapping (which even I'm not doing in October!), and I'm done!

Tink, I am loving your shopping It's getting very exciting now isn't it?

Whilst everything is quiet here, can I just say a really big thank you to everyone for last week, I am suitably for causing so much of a me me me week, and I am sorry that I practically ignored everything else going on, Will stop groveling now...

Monday morning posts hey? Always huge, I should learn how to MN at the weekend!

GYo · 20/10/2008 08:00

Morning All

Everyone sounds like they had busy weekends!

Glad you are back Nat, so exciting that the baby's room is now painted. :-)

Wagamamas was great thanks Diege- had something with big fat noodles and gyozas and something else... needless to say ate too much .
It was the guildford one Gruff not sure there is one any closer. Its actually quite handy for us as straight down the a31. How is the carrot cake?

Hi everyone else

Lots of work on at the moment so I expect I will be on MN all day keeping up to date between meetings offline most of the day working hard...
