LB - what a rotten day Definitely an evening on the sofa with chocolate for you.

Diege - I'm the same so don't worry. Before early scan I'd only told DH and BF. After scan I have told parents and 3 other friends. My parents are just back from 2 weeks hols though and amazed that it's not common knowledge. I've tried to explain that I don't want everyone to know and then it all go wrong. The friends I have told will be the ones I will need to support me if it all goes wrong. I've not said anything to work yet and don't know when to. I could wait until after 12 week scan but then if it is bad news at the scan, my boss will know anyway as I know illbe a wreck.
I think I just need to stop thinking...

NJ - hope all's ok with you if you're lurking?

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 17/10/2008 19:45

hi

diege - that is perfectly understanable
glas - you will be able to get some nice rest
lb - great that you and your neighbours r so friendly

sorkycake · 17/10/2008 22:50

No GYo mine is for another home birth.

Kayz I can't believe it's so close for you now . Head down is the best way for him to be. Might not engage until the last minute though, with any luck.

Diege the bucket is all yours my friend I can understand you wanting to get to a certain point before announcing it.

Well I'm itchy girls!! I'm not a happy chicken about it. It started off on my wrists and thumbs, then my belly, now randomly everywhere. At first I freaked and thought it might be scabies or something nasty, but I don't think so. There's no rash, just intense itching.
Must be hormonal as no-one else seems to be scratting like I am.

I had a look at the Feb AN board but it doesn't look as good as here so I'm stopping 'ere. We've all experienced the bizarre same journey of obsessively pee'ing on sticks, it acts like a bond I think lol

Have proper AN appt next week at 25 weeks, eek! It's absolutely flying by.

I'm being told off for doing too much which is leaving me with a heavy fanjo feeling and pubic pain at the end of the day, so I'm trying hard to put my feet up and do less but it's pretty hard.

LB I've only ever bumped my car whilst pg
Dd- I hit a bollard when parking and cracked the front bumper
Ds1- I reversed into a concrete post in an underground car park and damaged the passenger rear door
Ds2 - I reversed into Dh's car and broke the back bumper.

Needless to say that the car could really do with being replaced before I do some serious damage.
I'm thinking it's the unluckiness of the car rather than my inability to concentrate properly heehee.

Right I'm off in the bath to soak and see if I an stop itching.

GruffaloSoldier · 18/10/2008 00:08

Sorky - I dont want to worry you, but itching all over can indicate a problem with your liver in pregnancy I think. I read about it in the pregnancy threads! You might want to do a search. I'll have a quick look for you. I dont want to worry you but equally I didnt want to not say anything in case it is that iyswim. Probably worth getting checking it out to be on the safe side.

I just got back from babysitting which is why im on here so late. Gona drag myself off to bed in a min. I do love getting paid to watch tv all night

GruffaloSoldier · 18/10/2008 00:26

Found the thread it says :

symptoms of obstetric cholestasis include:

"Itching that generally begins - or is most intense - on the arms, legs, palms of the hands and soles of the feet
Itching that's usually worse at night
Problems sleeping
Tiredness
Poor appetite
Nausea
Jaundice - yellowing of whites of eyes and skin (uncommon) "

the thread is: here

I also found threads where people had just had itching without a cause and was just problem of pregnancy so it could just be that. However if any other symptoms are being experienced you may want to check it on the safe side!

Right Im going to bed - goodnight

kayzisexpecting · 18/10/2008 06:56

Morning!

I had just written a huge post then the bloody internet crashed!!!

I had the day from hell yesterday. DS was the devil child and was really bad yesterday. He has quite bad tantrums sometimes and normally they last about 10 seconds but yesterday it was horrible.

First thing was not being allowed to drink my coffee so he headbutted me, then he was sick so we rushed over to the doctors(luckily just over the road). He is fine but we have matching bumps on our heads. We've been told if he seems over tired or his eyes look glazed over to get him straight to hospital.

Second he decided to throw a pile of books everywhere that I had just sorted out ready to go into a box. Then his toys all came out of his toybox.

Of course as soon as Daddy came home he was a bloody angel, never had a tantrum nothing!! Luckily DH knows what he is like. The thing is he is never really bad when we are both here. If I am at work he can be a real pain for DH and vice versa.

Needless to say I have a bit of a headache this morning

Hope everyone is ok!!!

kayzisexpecting · 18/10/2008 07:06

Oh and to top it all off, DH is really annoying me!

I'm sick of having to get up with DS when he just lays in bed. He'll get up about half 8 and it just annoys me because once in a while I'd really like a lie in but I can never get one.

Right rant over!!!

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 18/10/2008 08:50

morning

poor you sorky with itching hope it gets better soon

poor you kay hope your day is better today

dh went to a works do last night only had 3 pints of beer and is now suffering with a hangover. i am now taking dd to toysrus and mothercare this morning with me.
good thing is that dd dint wake up last night which is great and makes a change.
we are off now

SesHasapinkline · 18/10/2008 09:15

Tink - good luck with the shopping. Knowing you, I'm sure it will be a successful trip . Glad you had a better night with dd.

Sorky - itching sounds no fun. Hope it's improved overnight.

Kay - banged heads and tantrums is not a good day. Today will be better.

We're going computer shopping today and Homebase shopping for things for new house. Could prove an expensive day...

Diege · 18/10/2008 09:57

Morning! Nice being on the antenatal thread . I've said hello on the due in June one, but it's already very full and I feel very much like the new girl...as SORKY says, we've all 'pre-bonded', so I'll be sticking to just this one I think Just one request - don't all you due in the New year/earlier abandon the rest of us! Will also keep an eye on other thread as don't want CALS etc feeling left out .
SORKY, agree with GRUFF I also thought of obstetric colitus (sp??!!) that is easily controlled but needs sorting. As said, it could equally be nothing at all.
GLASK, very of your child-free time. Any plans or just a general slob-out?
KAYZ: get that man of yours a good talking to . You should be alternating lie-ins at the very least, if not having them all . Tis a subject close to my heart...
TINKS - look forward to hearing about your stash from toys R us .
SES, totally understand your position on not telling too. Am toying with telling bf, but I found telling her about mc hard too as I was worried about her worrying about what to say to me etc. I may tell an old friend who is very dear to me, and who I only meet up with a few times a year. She's had several miscarriages and 2 molar pregnancies (no babies sadly )and I do know that she truly has been in the same place times million.
Hi to everyone else - hope things are OK Nat if you're lurking .
Still in PJs here, dh taken dds out to park. He's off out to Sheffiled after for a day/night thing with an old friend. I think I'll take dds out to the village after lunch to get halloween things and then to a cafe where they can ice their own fairy cakes.
Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine!
Oh and before I forget, when did sickness start for the sufferers? I think it was week 6 or so with dds 1&2, then I remember 4.5 weeks for dd3. Yes, on to my next worry!

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 18/10/2008 10:08

Deige??!! I missed something...

woo-hoo! congrats!

I'm such a slack mner...

Diege · 18/10/2008 10:42

Thanks TEUCH . Did an early test last week, and already obsessing over every symptom etc.. How are things with you?

lardybump · 18/10/2008 11:14

Morning everyone... Teuch so good to hear from you how are you doing???

Diege your day sounds good. I am working all day again today well only have another 4 weeks to go then I am unemployed so shouldnt moan really should I.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 12:20

OMG- i have only just got out of bed!!!

I have been awake from about 7am though, but i watched some tv, then took some toast up, then fell asleep halfway through Saturday Kitchen Live!!

How Lazy!!!

I feel really bad as i planned to blitz the house too... but i have until 6.30ish till the kids and DH are back (change of plan and the kids want to come home tonight) so i can MN clean and tidy all day.

I have a list..... and i am going to put it down on here so i can shame myself if i dont do it all!!!!

  • Hoover upstairs and down
  • Wash all pots in kitchen (last nights tea pots ) and leave it sparkling
  • Clean Rabbit out (which requires popping to the shop too)
  • Wash kids bedding and have it all back on the beds
  • Clean bathroom
  • Put all the washing away where it belongs........

Think i'll leave it at that for now!! will keep popping in and keep you updated, but want to be able to have a quiet weekend so if i get it all done today i'm free to do nothing all day tomorrow!!!!!!!

sorkycake · 18/10/2008 12:41

I think it's more likely to be due to the oestrogen increase really, but ta for the concern

It's subsided a bit after a late night bath.

Diege · 18/10/2008 12:43

Hope work goes OK LB - it must be hard to focus on it with just a few weeks to go
GLASK - that sounds a great way to spend a morning! I'd half that list if I were you, esp after having been so poorly! I don't normnally get through that in a week .
Right, bit of a tidy then out as dds are going stir-crazy!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 12:45

Diege- i think the list will be halved the way i'm going as i'm still sat here!! just wrote the longest email ever to a friend i've not spoken to in a while, and chatting to another on msn!! I'm never gonna get out of this pc chair!!

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 18/10/2008 13:31

SesHasapinkline · 18/10/2008 13:32

Glaskham - I think half the list would be impressive and I'm also impressed with your lazy morning. Well done!

Sorky - glad the itching has subsided.

Diege - here's to the next few weeks going well and quickly so that we can soon be shouting our news from the rooftops and enjoying our pregnancies

Well we have a new laptop (cheaper than desktop) which hopefully DH will set up this afternoon. Also spent £130 in Homebase on shelving and bits for our fireplace.

Best go and sort out washing now...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 13:40

Bathroom is done, and kids bedding in the washing machine as i type...

cleaned the toilet, it was sparkling, then i was sick haven't taken a tablet today as i thought i'd solved the sickness with eating in bed before getting up... but nope!! Will eat some lunch in a bit then pop a pill!!

My cats are fighting and running all over the house... I wanted a quiet day!!!!!!! Anyone want them??? free to good home, lovely companions on quiet days alone... i'm not really selling em to you am i?? oh well- i'm hoping they decide to go out for the afternoon!!

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 18/10/2008 13:50

any thoughts on gyms ladies

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 13:53

i like the one you have there, the first one... have you seen this my sister wants it for her baby and it can be a storage box when they are bigger too!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/10/2008 15:05

Have blitzed the kitchen and it's sparkling now!!

Have sorted kids bedding and re-made beds.

Have sorted all the washing out and put it all away.

Have sorted out all the re-cycling.

Have sorted out the kids toys and blitzed the living room!!

Its raining so i'm going to get DH to collect some sawdust and hay tomorrow and clean the rabbit out then...

So all i have left to do today is my hoovering... i'd forgotten how difficult the hoover is to get up the stairs (it's too tall for me to manover safely at normal times let alone when PG so will get DH to lift it up when he gets home and hoover upstairs before the DC's go to bed... so i only need to hoover downstairs...

I've got the cleaning bug now so i think i may have to blitz the kids room (even though it's already really tidy) and might have to do our bedroom too (even though we plan to mess it moving everything around tomorrow so we can do some more decorating in there!!

Otherwise i'll feel i've wasted the day if i've got the cleaning bug and not done everything possible... i may even resort to bleaching the skirtings and cleaning all my windows again even though i did them during the week!!!!!
