Hi all - just popping in to keep my membership activated (so please don't remove me from the list!)

No more scans for me either so I can't join that list.

Hope everyone is ok - I'm waddling a lot more these days, bump getting bigger, and feeling v. v. tired. When is this second trimester 'blooming' supposed to happen then???

Will try try try to look in more regularly as I miss everyone, and always seem to be behind on the news.

Is this OK? Also don't want to offend anyone, we can always add any one who makes their way back to the wagon on

Hiya Happynappies, was thinking how you were getting on the other day I think people lie through their arses when it comes to the second trimester bloom, either that or I am never destined to bloom!

When does the third trimester start? I can never remember if it 26 weeks or 28, either way, at 27 and a half weeks think I have missed out on the blooming once again!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/10/2008 15:54

Also, if anyone knows about Anti-D, can you have a look here for me please. I am really looking for people who know what they are talking about rather than people's own experiences IYKWIM? That sounds worse than I mean it

GYo · 07/10/2008 16:55

HI NJ thanks for updating list. I've just been talking to the MW about anti D so will take a look at the thread.

All fine at the MW, heard strong heartbeat which was exciting. She said heartrate today indicated girl but it wasnt very reliable...

Any one got experience of this?

Hi Happynappies!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/10/2008 17:09

Glad MW's went well I found that the earlier in the pregnancy, the faster the HB, when I first started using my doppler, HB was around 170-180bpm, then it came down to around 150-160bpm around 20-ish weeks, must admit haven't done it since because I've been getting the movements, but I would put money on it having slowed again since. In fact, I will try it out tonight and let you know!

I think it is one of the old wives tales, some people swear by it, others are more sceptical. There is no reliable evidence of it being true AFAIK

GYo · 07/10/2008 17:10

Scan list again, I had my date wrong! its one day earlier for all the difference it makes.

22nd Oct- Glask 12wk
28th Oct- Ses 12wk
4th Nov- Gyo 20wk

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/10/2008 17:15

Ah, a day makes all the difference!

GYo · 07/10/2008 17:21

OOh thanks Nat- we are going to get a doppler so we can listen more often but not for that reason!

Cosmogirl · 07/10/2008 17:25

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been awol forever. Still sickified and can't bring myself to post on much else by hyperemesis/MS threads at the moment. Just waiting for that great day when I wake up and am all back to normal! The vomiting has all but slowed to a stop and I only took meds for a week because of side-effects, but still nauseous all day long which sucks and means I can't eat properly.

Glask - how is your sickness now? You still on the meds?

Playing - if you are about was pleased to hear your MS had gone away. Excellent news.

Hope you got some good replies on your anti D thread, Nat. I am RH neg too and must admit it is all a bit confusing.

Anyway, hope you don't mind me adding myself to scan list. I'll try and be a better waggoner soon I promise - just as soon as the sickness goes.

22nd Oct- Glask 12wk
28th Oct- Ses 12wk
4th Nov- Gyo 20wk
21st Nov - Cosmo 20 wk

Cosmogirl · 07/10/2008 17:32

By the way, are most people planning on doing an antenatal course? I'm not sure if they do free ones around me, so would prob mean paying 130 for NCT....

GYo · 07/10/2008 17:34

hi Cosmo- I was wondering about you and when your date was

Glad to hear sickness has stopped even if you feel rubbish still.

FWIW (and I never had bad sickness) I went from still feeling sick in wk 15 to being fine even if I dont eat for a while in week 17. So hopefully things will change for you soon.

GYo · 07/10/2008 17:36

Hi Cosmo again
Im planning on doing the NHS and NCT classes, mainly to try and meet some other local mums since we dont know many people around here. Didnt know it was 130 tho!

Gruff- are you doing NCT? there is a Farnham and Aldershot group so we could end up in same class which could be cool!

My MW said classes get booked so Im going to look into dates for just January time.

Cosmogirl · 07/10/2008 17:37

Hi GYo,

Oh that gives me hope. I am pinning everything on magical week 16/17! Yep, very excited about the 20 week scan. Will be nearer 22 weeks pregnant tho. You don't have very long to wait at all! How exciting
