LOL I think it did nearly finish me off! But OMG, the feeling of no contractions at all after DS2 was a week old was wonderful!! I could eat dinner, and watch telly, and concentrate on a book, and sit comfortably, and not worry about dashing to the labour ward at any given time, and not worry about DH being at work when the contractions were coming every 2 minutes..... oh the list is endless!

God the shit we go through for them eh?!! LOL

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 09:04

Oh forgot to say, I am a gonna! DS2 has finished his breakfast, and we are off into town, see you later xxx

GYo · 15/08/2008 09:08

HAve a great day Nat

GYo · 15/08/2008 12:59

Wanted to post this one on the AN thread.

Anyone else got a gut instinct about the sex of the baby?

Right from the the off, Im convinced its a boy- even lack of brutal MS backs this up now...

Thought it might be interesting to see if we are right....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:14

We're back Jeez it was heaving in there, but it is a lovely lovely day, sun is shining, bit of a breeze which stops it being muggy and clammy

I bought the first thing for the baby A little set thing from M&S with a sleep suit, trousers, top, cardi, hat and mittens, and a bib And DS1 has bought a teddy that he colours in that he says is for the baby!

I haven't got a clue about the sex of this one, I knew the boys were boys from the outset, this time I have been swinging from day to day, one day I'm convinced it's a boy, the next day I'm convinced it's a girl. I think it is probably a boy, but we will find out on Wednesday!

GYo · 15/08/2008 13:18

The clothes sound lovely Nat so exciting to buy stuff!

I keep tentatively looking at the baby sections of the shops, from a distance but im too afraid to go any further maybe when im further along!

Cant wait to hear the results of your scan... i love this thread, so exciting to share the whole journey from conception to birth etc!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:25

This is the set Awwwwwwww I am a sucker for newborns in a sleepsuit and a cardi LOL

I agree following the whole thing from pre-conception to post-natal is fantastic!

GYo · 15/08/2008 13:31

thats so cute such cute designs.

And a good price too

I love newborn stuff too. Just wish I wasnt so bloody scared of it now that its my own to think about

calsworld · 15/08/2008 13:33

NJ - Very cute outfit! Can't wait to go and choose some nice newborn outfits...can't wait for maternity leave...can't wait for scans...can't wait for cuddles...oooooohhhh its all so lovely!

(Cals memory has apparently erased all traces of night time waking, sore boobs, acheing arms (from rocking), poo smeared up baby backs, and soreness from birth, endless amounts of laundry etc etc etc)

I love that they've used a 6 month old to advertise their 'newborn' outfits .

calsworld · 15/08/2008 13:34

Sorry TTC'ers - I fear we're taking over a bit, tell us to shut up if you need us to .

GYo · 15/08/2008 13:35

Cals- this is the ante-natal one! You are ok!

calsworld · 15/08/2008 13:37

Oh christ - thank god for that. I posted last gooey post then panicked - again.

FFS. Where's my mumomega? I haven't taken any for about a week now and I fear I'm losing the plot entirely.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:37

M&S are always good IMO, good quality, good prices, and IME good customer service, everyone moans about them on here, but I quite like them! Aside from anything it is about the only shop in our town worth going into!

Sorry end of M&S advertising!!

What are you scared of?

calsworld · 15/08/2008 13:39

NJ - Am a secret M&S fan too...their kids clothes are always soooo soft.

mmmmmmmmmmmm cuddly baby in new clothes...........

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:39

LMAO at Cal's memory (or lack of!!! ) LOL

calsworld · 15/08/2008 13:40

Admit it, you all love me - even without my brain

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:40

Hoorah, another M&S fan, thought it was only me and everyone over 60!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:41

Love you? Not as much as my apple danish.....

You're not having it, it's mine, all mineeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 15/08/2008 13:42

OOO Nat, how exciting!!!! Good thing you posted over here I think. I am struggling a bit with the threads, my chat with GYo woudl probably have been better over here wouldn't it!

Cal - I am just about keeping the excitment under control. After my scan though I think I might explode. I can't wait either. Bring it on!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 15/08/2008 13:42

PMSL Nat

calsworld · 15/08/2008 13:42

Right - off to do a budget, which, given my current lack of brain could be very very very dangerous (and generally fictitious) but boss is back next week and I havent' done nearly enough work on it!)

See you all later,

GYo · 15/08/2008 13:45

Think I'm scared of either of the following, not sure which, might be all of them!!

buying stuff getting excited and something going wrong and having to 'reverse my mind' back out of babystuff. Or

buying stuff and then not being able to reign it in and going mad buying stuff

or being jolly scared about responsibility of baby...I so cant wait and Im so so very keen but so nervous too!

Sorry handnt realised there were so many reasons...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:46

Are you sulking Cal? I'll save you a bit of it OK?

Playing, I am doing my best to keep pregnancy things over here and general things over there, sometimes they entwine though, but then I feel bad for saying that the main thing was on here, because it might seem like I am either leaving those who are still TTC'ing out, or they will just will wander over and have a look anyway and then I may as well have posted it over there!

Never know which way is best.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/08/2008 13:54

GYo, you've had a scan, seen the heartbeat, the chances of anything going wrong are really really low now. But, I know that won't put your mind at rest, it never does!

There is nothing wrong with looking, and if you are going to find out the sex you can tell yourself you're not buying until you know what colour you need!

TBH if you can't go OTT with buying things for a baby then when could you go OTT? As long as you stick to any pre-planned budget, what's the harm?

And as for the responsibility, well, every mum is the same, and you will hear this a lot but it just comes, you do just deal with it, it is as simple as that!

GYo · 15/08/2008 13:57

OK thank you - I needed setting straight- I know you are right

Right. Mission for w/e is to spend obsene amounts of time browsing babywear

Will wait and buy later (no where to put anything at the moment at home due to dust!) but will find some good websites

Quite excited now.

Thanks Nat!
