Morning

I thought I felt ok this morning, but then I ate a few spoonfuls of cereal and nearly brought it back up again. After that I felt really shaky and just wanted to go and lie down - but had the school run to do.

Decided this weekend I should really try to get back into my walking (used to do an hour most days after dropping boys at school). I did manage to do it, but found it really hard going and despite doing an hour I didn't get anywhere near as far as I used to. Felt like I was walking uphill when I wasn't. Mind you I have had over a month off walking due to tendon damage in my foot, so could just be really unfit.

I also managed to get a blister on my heel from my MBTs.

On the upside, the walk seemed to get rid of the nausea and it was lovely to be out walking in the sunshine.

fourlittlefeet · 12/05/2008 11:12

hello, can I join? just got those two little pink lines!! I've named changed too just like you KFF, for exactly the same reason. I'm in shock. Think my EDD is Jan 18th.

moosemama · 12/05/2008 11:17

Hi there fourlittlefeet

Congratulations and welcome.

tinkisexcited · 12/05/2008 11:18

tinkisexcited · 12/05/2008 11:26

fourlittlefeet · 12/05/2008 12:03

this is so exciting!

MsSparkle · 12/05/2008 13:04

Congrats FourLittleFeet!

I have been out this morning walking and still feel nauseous (is that how you spell it?)

okaythen · 12/05/2008 15:48

Afternoon all! Congrats Fourlittlefeet and welcome to the thread.

Well things here are still a bit yuk, dcs both brighter and dh still languishing on the sofa. Also poor old FIL just phoned and has got it too so it looks like I'm the only one to escape so far. Feel paticularly bad for FIL as he's only ill coz he came and helped us - hoping he doesn't give it to MIL.

Sucessful morning shopping - have a wedding in a fortnight and the dress I'd been planning to wear is suddenly too tight over the bust - damn those pg bbs! - found a replacement in Principles within 20 mins of actually being at the shops which has to be some kind of record for me - even have suitable shoes here at home so just a bag to find now.

Better nip off as need to grab a quick nap while the rest of the house is sleeping - dcs still up in the night as still not feeling 100%.

hopenotsickthistime · 12/05/2008 15:52

Can I join in on this one too? Due 3 Jan provisionally. This is second time round for me so like mssparkle and heathersmummy, not a shock. I was feeling awful at this point last time and am worried that I'm not feeling sick yet. Does this mean something is wrong? Am I just more lucky this time? Or is it all to come?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/05/2008 16:00

Can I join as well please?

This is DC3, we have 2 boys, 6yo and 17mo old. Think I am due around the 12th of Jan, got booking in appointment with the midwife on the 3rd of June.

Hopenotsick, try not to worry about lack of sickness, each pregnancy is very different, and as you say it may just be too early, or you might get lucky and miss it altogether

I have actually written an intro post for this thread a few times now and then get too worried and shy and don't post it, but this time, I am going to hit that 'post message' button, I think......

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/05/2008 16:00

Yep see, I did it

tinkisexcited · 12/05/2008 16:12

hi nat

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/05/2008 16:18

Hiya Tink, thought I'd dive in

Have been tucked in the corner watching you all, felt a bit creepy so thought I'd say hello!

MsSparkle · 12/05/2008 16:21

hopenotsickthistime and NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain Congrats!

I feel abit better now Although does anyone else always feel hungry but the thought of eating certain foods makes you wanna throw up? Off mushrooms, coffee & tea so far! Last pregnancy i had no cravings, i just went off of certain foods. I hope that's not the case this time because i strangly wanted cravings!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/05/2008 16:28

Thanks MsSparkle, you to

Having gone from loads of symptoms to nothing since finding out, I am quite happy camping out with the lucky ones who don't get sickness/food aversions But I won't count my chickens too soon, there is time for it all to kick in yet!

Been to see MW today as she is also HV and DS was getting a vaccination. Talked through some of the options so I have food for thought and will se here again soon . She's truly fab!!

tinkisexcited · 12/05/2008 16:51

i thought that i was probably 4 weeks seeing midwife next week as my lmp was 22nd of march

LenniEd · 12/05/2008 17:28

I am also on No.2 and not feeling half as bad as last time round. Although not complaining, had a bad time with the pregnancy with DD1 so happy if this one goes smoothly.

Agree on the hungry but don't want to eat anything too - dammit!

Congratulations hopenotsickthistime and nataliejaneispregnantagain

Natalie Jane is on our list of names for a girl - middle name will definitely be Jane as it's a family name and Natalie was one of the names we both agreed on. Actually it would probably be between Natalie and just one other girls name.

(Still have girls names we like from last 2 pregnancies - stuffed on boys names though, we used our 2 favourites as first and middle names last time cos we weren't having any more )

Triggles · 12/05/2008 19:16

NatalieJane Fourlittlefeet and hopenotsickthistime Congrats and welcome!

HeathersMummy · 12/05/2008 19:44

Evening ladies
Congratulations to all that have joined in the past couple of days since I was last on. It's soooo exciting!!

okaythen · 12/05/2008 21:20

evening and welcome to the new faces, lovely to see our list getting longer .

MsSparkle, just a random thought back on the subject of books for helping explain about baby to dc1. Remembered this morning that the other thing I did for dd was to get a cheap scrapbook and fill it with pics of babies from various mags/catalogues - kind of tried to find them doing stuff that she would understand ie a whole page of babies getting washed, breast feeding, sleeping. She loved looking at the pics and we had some nice chats about looking after the baby and what she liked at that age.

Pg hormones def kicking in here on the weepy front, started reading dd and ds There's a House Inside My Mummy at bedtime and got all choked. Hope i'm not the only softie on the thread but I get worse with each passing week when I'm pg, in the end even Neighbours will have me sobbing into my cuppa !

Shanster · 12/05/2008 21:23

Sorry, I've not checked in for a few days. I am due on 01/10/2009

MsSparkle · 12/05/2008 21:49

Thanks okaythen, i am a bit worried though because i don't think dd (19mths) would understand about babies yet? Hopefully in the next 9 months she will start to understand more about it. She is such a mummys girl, having half her attention taken away might become very hard for her but 9 months is a long way off and she could be completly different by then. When i think of how she was 9 months ago, well that's a huge change.

I can't believe how quickly my doctors appointment has come round! One minute ago it was over two weeks away and now suddenly it's only on Thursday!

Shanster · 13/05/2008 02:44

Oops, I have been living in the US for too long!! I am due on 10/1/2009.
