ronshar really pleased that all was ok with your scan. with 1 of my previous boys, I could quite easily see his bits hanging around just before I was told I was having a boy!

I only have girls. I have no idea about all the hanging equipment! I was helping my friends 2 year old on the loo yesterday. I only remembered at the very last min to arrange the bits into a downwards direction. The wee still came out the front of the loo seat and all over his trousers Oh the shame. I always thought of myself as being quite worldly. Obviously not when it comes to small boys plumbing

I am sure I saw what I thought was more flesh than the girls ever had at same time. Never mind only 19 weeks to wait. Sigh

do not know where to begin with looking for girls names as even before i knew what ds was i already had a boys name ready! it feels like i have lost a boy since i already had a name for him!! weird i know!

My mum Smudgey?!?!?! She is coming to visit next week - had I mentioned that and you've just got the wrong date? Otherwise she is 150 miles away, which is just the way I like it!

Bethoo. We have always had loads of girls names ready to go but no boys. But then we only choose at the last minute. With both the girls the name was chosen after tjhey were born. I always think you have to wait until they are born to get look at them. I have left it to DH to come up with the suggestions and then I say no.
Yes the days sliding away after your due date are no fun at all. It is the daily phone calls that get you down. I feel like shouting "If I had had the baby do you not think I would have said.". I had to be induced with DD1, thats why it took four years to do it again. At least with DD2 I had two sweeps and a home birth. Couldnt be more different.

Is induction that bad ronshar? I am likely to be induced (early) .

Not always.
I was in early labour when I went in. I tried to escape but they wouldnt let me go. In the end I needed everything but the kitchen sink. DD1 was back to back with me for most of the pregnancy. I tried to get her to turn over in the last couple of weeks. Lots of crawling around on hands and knees. Little monkey just was too comfortable in there. Because she couldnt get up over the cervix she was stuck for a couple of hours. So eventually I had to have a ventouse. I was grateful not to have a C-section so it worked out ok in the end.
I have know induced births to be over in a couple of hours. Mine took 28 hours. Rest assured it wasnt the induction itself it was the circumstances that followed that was shite.

CSWS at least if you are early it will be a smaller baby Look on the bright side.

No ronshar. Is likely to be huge due to the diabetes (dd was 9lbs without it, and it can add several lbs to the weight), so can't even console myself with that! Glad to hear that it wasn't the induction itself that caused the problems for you though.

Thank you all for thinking off me.
Amnio went ok today, the consultant was so nice, never met anyone so kind and caring, even put his arm around me!

Was lovely to see the baby again and if all goes well will see again at my scan on the 5th June

Not so good that may not get results until tues due to bank holiday, was really hoping it would be fri, then if all ok another wait to check any other chromosome disorders.

ronshar - we thought about asking about the sex but when she asked DH shook his head and then we both agreed we would not although my MW said she would know so we can always ask her later if we decide. I think at the mo for us the good news will be all being ok. Secretly though I am hoping for another girl but at the end of the day healthy is best. Congrats on your little girl though.

Firsttimer08 no sickness here but I have had no sickness whatsoever so far. My sister has said it may all come to me in the last trimester so I'm making hay while the sun shines

DH and I spent last night making a list of names which is making it all more real. Not sure if we are ever going to agree on one though.

ps - noticed on another thread that they have listed names and there baby sex if they find out. Will that happen on here CSWS? just I will prob end up forgetting who's having what!!!

jenwa do not worry about lists of info I am sure csws knows it all she is fab on remembering everything for us all it is nice that not everyones brain has gone to mush like mine has.

I know I keep doing it but I have been on the may thread again it is so exciting they are having their babes or are having sweeps and contractions or being induced you can even get advice on piles, hopefully we will not need that for some time yet if at all.

Have you been pre-warned about how bumpy the roads are in Malta, assuming you are passing through it? They are absolutely dire!

csws off to a villa in Ghammar. Don't have to expose myself in a bikini in public We were in Gozo a few years ago but in Sannat. Loved it so it seemed just the place for our last hol without kids!

Agree with you on the state of the roads. Plan to bring cushion for journeys
