Lozza how Cr**, they should have at least given you the chance to go back out and check your bag in as hold luggage. I hate airport these days, i want to go away somewhere ate half term but I can't stand the idea of going through an airport bad enough for work without doing it on my own time.
myjob I would scare myself witless if I had a listening device cos there is bound to be time you couldn't find a heartbeat.

bethoo · 29/04/2008 21:33

just a quick goodnight in between vomiting. have not stopped and feeling very depressed and helpless as hate being on my own when like this!

bethboo if it makes you feel any better I've stated being sick again too. I had a whole week 3 weeks ago of no vomits and now its back Not as bad as the 1st few weeks but bad enough. For me it it totally related to how tired I am, so i must go to bed too.

doesn't take much to confuse me these days, my brain is treacle. Sorry I haven't seen one of those things, sounds quite cute really hearing hiccups.

accessorizequeen · 29/04/2008 21:59

hugabub does sound v.good and I think I'm v.tempted to get one! I tried a mei tei and couldn't get to grips with it, have a friend coming next month to show me how to wrap though.

mynameisjob, my ds1 did that one night at same age and he was right, he has only v.rarely wet the bed since so maybe no need to worry?

bethoo, commiserations on the vomiting again urggh for you. I hope it stops soon.

Forgive me...

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/04/2008 07:26

Welcome UmSami. Where are you living now?

Stats updated - please advise if you have had a scan but don't have a 'yes' next to your name.

my job fabby fabby - what a clever boy.
My ds wasn't dry in the day until he was 4 so I am really jealous haven't even stated to try nights yet (bad mother!). I'm working from home today so I can spend lunch time mums-netting (its a late lunch honest!!).
betboo how are you feeling today?

KSal · 30/04/2008 17:08

hi just a quick update, had another bleed today and took your advice caramelbunny and went the the gp for referral. spent rather a fraught few hours at the hospital and even heard the words "not compatible with continued pregnancy" but in the end all was declared fine when the senior registrar had had a look. it seems i have lesions on the cervix caused by hormones which are bleeding and not affecting the pregnancy. only other thing is i was supposed to have triple test today and can't now as i have to have two "bleed free" weeks... this will put it too late really so i will just have to see what happens there and what the 20 week scan shows up. main thing is i wanted to be prepared if anything might be wrong, but i guess now i will have to wait and see...

bigmouthstrikesagain · 30/04/2008 17:47

hELLO - HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH EVERYONE oops sorry did not mean tpo put caps on...

Ksal I am glad you are getting some reassurrance but it must still be worrying for you.

I haven't posted for ages been busy with puking children and other things but all seems to be well with [pg so far - though I am still unable to stay awake after 8pm some nights then others I can't get to sleep

Today when picking ds up from pre-scholl - there was a notice saying one of the kids had 'slapped cheek' and anyone one under 20 weeks pg should get themselves checked out. I have seen GP and he said only need a test if ds gets it - so fingers crossed. I understand it can cause complications and even miscarriage so I am a bit worried. But will try not to overreact.

Anyone else come across this??

Aubergenie · 30/04/2008 17:51

I've just spotted the due in Jan 2009 thread. We're really moving on girls....!

hedgepig · 30/04/2008 18:17

Ksal glad it seems to be OK it is pretty scary really. I had a bleed the day befpre my triple test and nobody said anything and they took the blood. Now I'm wondering if I had a valid result!
bigmouth you are most likely immune to slap cheek anyway most adults are.
Hey I am cooking tea and mumsnetting now that is what I call multi tasking.

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/04/2008 18:43

Bigmouth - your GP is wrong. Please insist on a blood test to see if you are immune. This is the test that I had to have a few weeks as I was exposed to it too.

KSal - very worrying, but glad that they have at least found a reason for the bleeding.

ronshar · 30/04/2008 21:57

Wow how lucky you have been with your midwife visits. Mine was yesterday. She was pants. She smiled alot, told me I would be fine as had two already. Didnt even mention about the baby or how I was. No offer to listen for heart beat!. I had DD2 with me so couldnt be bothered to argue with her. My next appointment is for 28 weeks. !0 bloody weeks away. How crap is that. I should be grateful I suppose that I have scan in a few weeks.
Ksal I have had a bit of bleeding today. EPU was closed. Ante-natal said I needed referal from GP. GP said I needed to go in for examination. Bleeding stopped so I didnt bother going to see GP. Why would he need to do internal exam? how can he tell the cause of bleed from that. My cervix should be closed!!!!!
I feel fine baby is still moving around and I shall retire to bed soon with my listening thingy and worry myself to sleep
I hope everyone is keeping well.

BigMouth. Go back to the GP and demand a blood test. It is no good doing it after your DD gets it. How will that help you if you are not immune to it?

Jambers99 · 01/05/2008 07:42

Morning everyone, not much news from me but thought I'd check in and say hello.

Good luck moodywren for your scan today. Can't believe you've had to wait so long, but really hope you get a good view of your bouncing 16-week old bean today.

KSal, what a nightmare, how horrid to be told that the pregnancy was over and then that it was ok again. You must have been distraught - was your DP there with you?

Congrats to your DS myjob, sending positive vibes that he stays dry at night.

Fingers crossed that all is ok with you too ronshar. If bleeding has stopped and you can feel the baby moving then it should be fine.

I've got another hospital appointment tomorrow to see the consultant. Not sure what about, but think it's just the end bit of my checking in. I should get the results of my blood tests from 3 weeks ago. I'll be 14+1, so hoping optimistically that they might be able to find the heartbeat.

My GP has also been a bit pants recently. Someone at work has shingles, and although I've had chicken pox the midwife suggested I get my immunity checked by the GP. But he didn't bother phoning me back, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed (and staying away from the infected lady!).

oliviaelanasmum · 01/05/2008 07:47

Morning all, I recieved my appointment to meet the consultant but it's not till 5th August when i will be around 30 weeks seems bit of a waste of time really, i may be fat but i have had 3 naturally with no problems so cant see the problem!
Im hoping the scan date comes through a few weeks in advance so that dp can book it off as holiday so that he can come to it, especially as we want to know the sex. If after 3 girls we are getting a boy we are going to have to do some serious blue shopping!

KSal · 01/05/2008 10:02

Hedgepig i think the concern with the result is that if you had bled recently it could give a false high risk result, so if your risk was low, i would think you are fine.

my husband was with me and was frankly amazing, not sure how i would have coped on my own. as scary as it was being told it could be over, it is good to now have the reassurance that the cervix is closed and all is progressing ok.

beakas · 01/05/2008 11:32

Have just come back from 2 days in hospital. Our baby had no heartbeat and has died. Never felt so sad and miserable and unhappy in my life. I thought that being over 12 weeks and feeling fine were all signs that it would be fine but woke up on monday to slight bleeding. I had a midwife appt anyway and then got shipped off to hospital in the afternoon. We got home yesterday. Please take care of yourselves all of you, and wishing you all best heartfelt wishes for healthy and happy pregnancies. Can you take me off the list please?x
