scorpio1 · 04/04/2008 15:11

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

ThePFJ · 04/04/2008 15:11

Sounds like BH's Sheds. I have the same. Just make sure baby is moving about ok. I have vomited, had runs, had BH's all the time, been dizzy, had false alarms and all sorts since my sweep and still de nada.

ThePFJ · 04/04/2008 15:11

3 DAYS?!!!
-faints-

ThePFJ · 04/04/2008 15:12

Ok. My new due date: NEVER.
-pouts-

scorpio1 · 04/04/2008 15:13

lol @ PFJ

told my Mum yesterday i will be pg forever. She said 'yes of course you will be dear'

ThePFJ · 04/04/2008 15:16

Anytime anyone asks me how long I have been pregnant now I always say FOREVER. Saves time.

Mollyfloss · 04/04/2008 15:19

If your baby is norn on the 8th you can call her (if it's a girl) Octavia.

My due date is the 13th so I am trying to tell myself it could be as late as the 27th. My doc said she had one lady who CHOOSE to go to 43 week though! I don't mind people asking me (yet) if the baby has arrived but I must say I was warned by my Mum right at the beginning of this pg to tell people I am due a week or two later than I am, or else I could go nuts. I didn't do that but maybe I should have passed on that advice to some of you ladies.

BabyBratt · 04/04/2008 15:21

You ladies are making me smile. I am going to stop moaning. I will keep my fingers crossed that your babies come asap.

ThePFJ · 04/04/2008 15:24

Thanks BB. Here.. have a miniegg!

Piccalilli2 · 04/04/2008 15:25

Scorpio, I'm working on the 23rd as my last possible pregnant date as well - they'll induce me at 14 days over, which is the 21st, and dd took 2 days to come after the induction. I really really thought things were happening yesterday but no joy and don't feel remotely likely to pop today or in fact any time soon. Arrgh.

Mollyfloss · 04/04/2008 15:33

Speaking of mini-eggs. I didn't get around to trying the creme egg Mc Flurry this year. I had it once last year when I didn't even have a sweet tooth and it was delish but if I had it this year I think I would have been in heaven!

AussieDivaOnABreak · 04/04/2008 15:33

Molly poor you! God isn't the tube just so wonderful? Good to hear you are now at the surface again and can once more pee freely.

Ladies I took the plunge today and rubbed Clary Sage oil (mixed with Almond Oil I think) into my bump. Then I embarked on an insane cleaning spree of my house. I am now sat down absolutely convinced that I will go into labour imminently.

Really.

It's true.

Just you wait and see.

ThePFJ · 04/04/2008 15:35

AussieDivaOnABreak · 04/04/2008 15:37

Molly, I am very ashamed to say that with my DD I had my first contractions while standing in the queue at McDonalds in Barry, South Wales. I was so terrified that my waters would break and I would have to one day tell my daughter where I'd been.

AussieDivaOnABreak · 04/04/2008 15:38

Here, have a beer too PFJ! What I wouldn't give for one right now.

scorpio1 · 04/04/2008 15:38

I don't wanna cook again today.....had chippy for dinner last night so i can't really have another takeaway and DH is doing long days and i don't think he should have to cook as soon as he gets in.

KnitterInTheNW · 04/04/2008 15:44

George was due on the 8th, and I enjoyed writing 08/04/08 on anything that required my edd.

My birthday's the 15th April, so any babies born on that day will be in very good company.

A baby I looked after a couple of years ago was born on 04/05/06 which I think is a pretty cool birth date! Although my DH insists on chanting 'May the Forth be with you' every time his birthday is mentioned. Highly amusing, after the 20th time. Not.

Peachy · 04/04/2008 15:52

Aussie- be careful with the clary sage, Doula told me not to touch it as she ahd a lady use it, have reallys evere contraction and end up with real problems as she didn't dilate. I popped some in a burner last night, had severe pains that left me with visible bruising- and nowt.

PFJ glad i'm not the only feeling like that (sorry, should say sympathies shouldn't I?). I can't take steps mroe than half the length of my foot so can't go out, hips excruciating, can't sit straightbecuase of the aggravated previous abck injury and am bored rigid as DH thinks I need tore st and goes upstairs doing things with the boys- which is sweet I know, but I just get left down here with daytime telly, and a nigh on non-verbal re eption child who screams if I dare take the PC for more than a minute.

One good thing was that I did get my surestart maternity grant through yesterday- if anyone knows anyone PG who has disabled kids getting severe care allowance from WTC its worth tipping them off, I had no idea I was entitled until someone told me as its the only non-income based criterion. Probably fair though, have ahd to buy 2 cribs etc etc etc as can't put baby up to bed of an evenintg because of the boys so need one downstairs- thereby doubling costs.

Oh sorry but if a hard bump was a sign of impending labour Bazzy baby would be here by now!.

Peachy · 04/04/2008 15:53

RE birth dates- mys siters and I were born on 6th, 7th and 8th (completely different months mind!).

AussieDivaOnABreak · 04/04/2008 15:57

Thanks Peachy...won't do it again. Still deluding myself that it will work tho.

sagitta · 04/04/2008 15:58

Scorpio, how about pasta and pesto and salad? (My lazy day dish...)

scorpio1 · 04/04/2008 15:59

none of those things here....going supermarket tomorrow for big shop. eating out of the freezer tonight i think...

Peachy · 04/04/2008 15:59

Has anyone seen tat thread about HB's and trasnsfers to hosoital including before albour starts- eg for an induction- and the high risk of death / severe problems?

Coz like, I needed that thread

BabyBratt · 04/04/2008 16:00

I always do a really quick pasta bake and salad when I do not feel like cooking anything challenging.

Mollyfloss · 04/04/2008 16:02

Aussie: I totally understand. I rarely step foot inside a fast-food joint (even though I have a weakness for whoppers) and I have promised myself that when I have kids they are NEVER going to McD's.

You could try a non-alcoholic beer. They're not that bad and make you feel as if you are having areal drink, until you notice you're not getting a buzz from it that is...
