Hello all - how exciting all this talk about 'shows' (WOW Scorpio ) and 'baby engaged' and such! - We are truely coming to the conclusion of these pregnancies. I am still in awe a lot of the time that our bodies can do such a marvellous thing as 'make a baby' - but then I am a hormonal wreck of late and cry at the drop of a hat (or bowl of cereal, as the case may be!).

I have been having lots of BH and can't believe I still have 4 or so weeks left as my belly is tres tight and stretched. My gums are suffering the worst though and even the thought of brushing them sends them into a bleeding frenzy! (sorry if TMI ).

Hope all are well and keeping semi rested.

Speaking of names - I thought we had ours 'in the bag' so to speak, but now am changing my mind daily again . Love Sam and Jack - they are wonderful names.

Oh and Hi to New-comers too.

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 11:11

EllieG at the birth of cake!!!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:14

ROFL Ellie!!!!

Hi TheMaskedPoster, hope your poor gums get better soon! Whats your favourite name so far then? Do you know the sex?

Gods.. I need to pee.. AGAIN
Damn you bladder!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:15

Thats enough about donkeys and cake. Tis a silly place. (It's only a model... SHhhhh!)

-isn't a MontyPython fan.. honest-
-Goes to light the Grail shaped beacon-

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 11:22

ThePFJ - yep, he´s called Sam. I like Jack, it´s what I wanted to call DS1 but DH had a really nasty uncle called Jack so that was a definite no-no. Am still laughing at the thought of you & Ellie in your nativity plays. I think I was a shepherd!

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 11:22

Names ... hmmm, we have been thinking Ashton if a boy and Olivia if a girl ... but with so many Olivias out there am undecided on that one. I like Joy for a girl too but know DH will look aghast when I mention it... or Celeste, or Cameron - oh FGS - why are there so many names?? is almost as bad as the pram dilemma!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:26

Don't mention the pram dilemma. I am still having spasms. Jacks a really common name I know.. but I fell in love with it ages ago. Olivia is a gorgeous name!
Not even Father Jack from the comedy Father Ted can put me off my choosen name. As long as he doesn't come out shouting Drink! Girls! at the MW then all should be ok.

VictorianSqualor · 04/03/2008 11:28

DD decided to tell her teacher when she got to school this morning that she felt sick, two girls in her class (her best friedns, so it happens) have thrown up on the carpet in class this week so no risking it I had to go and get her straight away!

She did get to be Mary in her second nativity play ever though
I went into the nursery and said half-jokingly, 'So is Ella Mary this year then as she is one of the eldest?'(she was something crap like a star the first year) She got the part

I have such a horrible belly-ache, feel likes a tummy bug but my erm 'bowel movements' are ok iyswim

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:31

Ooooer.. hope its nothing serious!
I really should stop and do housework. But my downstairs bits ache so much and I ..well.. don't want to.
I am LazySpice!

VictorianSqualor · 04/03/2008 11:35

I ache too the last few days, feel like I've done a huge workout tbh!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:37

Yes! Mine feels like I've been riding a sodding horse all day or something. I walk like a bow-legged cowboy as it is at the moment! My poor thighs.

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 11:38

VS - hope your belly feels better soon, nothing worse than an upset belly - especially this far into pregnancy.
And hope your dd is ok too.

Have just had a cheese and ham salad s/w for lunch (have it early with dd as she goes to nursery at 12.30pm) and am now craving something sweet ... perhaps a huge slice of Carrot cake with cream cheese icing that I made on Sunday

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:39

Right, I am off to try and grab a nap while its quiet here...
Have a donkey-licious day girls!
xxx

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 11:41

PJF - I walk like a cowboy too these days, but tis due to my newly mahoosive thighs! - blardy water retention (well that's what I'm calling it anyway ... nothing to do with all the cake and choccie I've been downing ... really )

VictorianSqualor · 04/03/2008 11:42

I like Ashton and Elsa btw TMP.

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 11:42

I mean PFJ - sorry!!!

oh and enjoy the nap

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 11:45

Thanks VS - I think if this LO is a boy we are pretty much settled on that name, however if it's a girl...? - ah well, tis all part of the joy of having babies.

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 12:07

Sorry to hear about your gums TMP. Mine are more sensitive and did bleed a little the other day but seem to be bearing up.

TheMaskedPoster · 04/03/2008 12:11

Thanks Soph, it is a weakness for me - happened last time (worse) when I was pregnant with dd ... in fact so bad that my gum grew down between a couple of teeth and looked like I had a tooth missing . However, as soon as I gave birth they went back to normal ... silly things.

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 12:15

VS - I have constant belly ache, though that could be something to do with the amount of food I consume in a day ... but I'm in complete denial about that

EllieG · 04/03/2008 12:57

[hides under desk to avoid tmp narrowed eyes]

My gums bleed too. We don't get free PG dental care over here so am putting off going at moment.

Sal22 · 04/03/2008 13:05

Hi all. TMP, bet I'll beat you on the expanding thighs front - I had bright red marks yesterday from the friction . Hmm, maybe unlimited amounts of toffees wasn't the best idea after all (still off proper food for dinner, but for some reason my tummy can expand unlimited to make space for toffees ).

The guys at work keep telling me I haven't put on any weight (apart from the obvious tummy), and I'm starting to love them more and more by the second. Of course they're lying through their teeth, but hey, I'm not complaining. (Oh, and I should probably add, one guy who just came back from holiday did say I am huge and look like a whale... - but of course I ignore that, like the other comments better )

bunnyrabbit · 04/03/2008 13:16

Am eating a flake... bad bunny!!!

BR

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 13:28

I was Mary

i had houmous, rocket, carrot & cress sarnie and banana for lunch.

eva07 · 04/03/2008 13:29

hi TMP and elli, I have bleeding gums too sometimes. it helps when I use hydrogen peroxide solution (3%) as a mouthwash after cleaning my teeth (half hydro... half water)
don't like the taste but it helps...
and this was my dentist's idea, so this must be good somehow
