Hi everyone,
am awake now.. argh
Scorpio - I know we all know now and we all thought it was but I gotta say it again... 'Wooooo a show!'
That's better.
My DP forgot to do the catlitter tray out by the backdoor yesterday so poor me had to don gloves and do it myself. Poor kitties were looking at me funny and making me feel guilty about it.
Little one inside me is still on a kicking bonanza. I thought I wanted scrambled eggs for breakfast today ..but now I just feel sick.

EllieG · 04/03/2008 10:17

Have just eaten chocolate cookie. Oh well. So much for healthy eating.

bunnyrabbit · 04/03/2008 10:20

Hey Scorpio.... race you!! I'm nearly 36 weeks and LO has been engaged for 3 weeks.

Surprised the Doctor

BR: So is the baby low?
DR: Yes very for 32 weeks and 2nd baby
BR: How low???
DR: Well we don't normally talk about the head being engaged this early..

Planning homebirth but midwife said "well if you start labour before 37 weeks, we have to take you in". What do you mean before 37 weeks!! Arrggghhh I don't leave work till I'm 38 weeks.

Sorry to hear about the bad nights ladies. I must admit I'm a crap sleeper anyway so sort of used to it. Managed to go loo 3 times last night and got about 5 hours sleep I reckon. Pretty good for me. Although I agree I could do without the rib kicking and general tap dancing!

Only 2 weeks and 2 days left at work!!

BR

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 04/03/2008 10:26

Another sweet toothed emotional wreck here!

What does it feel like when the baby's head is engaged? Felt something very strange going on down there last week and left me feeling terrible. Fine now but I feel like I'm walking like a cowboy!

I finish work next Friday - and am soo looking forward to sleeping in while I can!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 10:30

BabyRoo: For me its all stretching pains 'down there' and it doesn't really feel much different. I can breathe better now though, and the terrible heartburn isn't as constant. Yay!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 10:32

I thought I'd update this with the last posts since I joined in. Have a check and let me know if you want anything on it updated. To be honest I am avoided housework so give me something to do!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 04/03/2008 10:36

Hmm - thanks for than PJF - maybe baby isn't engaged then cos I still get really bad heartburn! Woke up at 1:30am with it last night, had a few Gaviscon - nothing, went downstairs and had a glass of milk and then sat in the lounge waiting to feel better! (And gave the cats a heart attack in the process!) Only started feeling better at 2:30am! Am a veerrrry tired girlie today... yawn...

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 10:38

Awww.. now I am yawning again too!

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 10:41

LOL at Scorpio. It´s the long holidays that do it We had a 9 week summer holiday so we had to do something to fill the time

EllieG · 04/03/2008 10:44

Mine is still really high - have a nasty feeling am going to go overdue, I just know it. Am going to jump around lots in a few weeks.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 10:46

Apparently if you are late, A dose of castor oil helps get labour going. A friend told me this the other day, and my mum keeps going on about taking oil...
Also riding a donley is enough to bring any pregnant woman over 35 weeks into labour within 15 minutes. So I am told.
So I'll buy you a donkey Ellie!
xxx

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 10:48

ThePFJ - I sympathise I had to do the cat tray last night as well - yuk! I seem to get kicked constantly now and at the moment I´ve got a severe pain on the left side, really low down & it feels like he´s kicking the hell out of my ribs on the right.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 10:50

Ouch Soph73 poor you
Tell that little Basket to calm down in there! Hehe.

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 10:52

Have now got wonderful mental images of Ellie riding a donkey to hospital Great new take on the nativity

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 10:55

How Mary made it is beyond me. Apparently they made a short documentary about it, and a bloke stuck his pregnant wife on a donkey to ride to Bethehem to test the theory. Within 15 minutes she started contractions and almost fell off the donkey!

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 10:57

ThePFJ - what I need is DH to spend all day sat by my side with his hand on my bump as Sam seems to calm right down when he does that. DH thinks I´m making all these movements up - if only

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 10:58

ThePFJ - don´t make me laugh it makes my tummy hurt even more

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 04/03/2008 10:59

That's really funny PJF - had a good chuckle there!

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:00

My bump stops kicking when DP puts his hand there. I could be experiencing the biggest kicks I have ever felt, shout 'come and feel THIS!' DP comes running.. and nothing. But if DP blows raspberries on my belly little one kicks him in the face!
Are you calling your little one Sam? Thats a lovely name. I have decided on Jack for a boy (which it should be) or Elsa for a girl!

EllieG · 04/03/2008 11:05

I always knew I was special - clearly I am meant for donkey riding thing in manner of messiah-producing mother.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:06

-sticks a teatowel on Ellie's head and goes 'AhhhhhhhAhhhAH-AHHHHHHHHH'-

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:07

Yes EllieG. Ride this donkey to the hospital.. and take these chocolate biscuits with you as a sign.... -more AH's-

EllieG · 04/03/2008 11:08

I never got to do that at school. Best I got was being a shepard as wasn't cute enough to be mary.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 11:09

I was an angel. But I fell over

EllieG · 04/03/2008 11:10

And lo, it did come to pass that Ellie gave birth, and they did discover that actually she was carrying a big piece of cake and not a baby after all.
