Hey, what are we all doing on here? shouldn't we be having sex?

ThePFJ · 03/03/2008 21:49

VS, poor you
I cling to my notes like a shield mostly. I take them everywhere with me and I don't feel right without them now.
Which is weird, because I thought bringing them home with me each time and keeping them was 'odd' earlier on in my pg.

VictorianSqualor · 03/03/2008 21:49

They don't even measure me! I suppsoe they see it they are scanning me and doing my bloods every two weeks whats the point in the rest of it.

ThePFJ · 03/03/2008 21:51

When are you due Molly floss? Because if its after me.. then who knows.. maybe. I secretly thought I might go into labour early because my bump height is now 3cm above what it should be.
This is actually probably because a: I eat too much cake, and b: I am being hopeful.

ThePFJ · 03/03/2008 21:54

Scampmum.. I want sex. But he's back is out.

-eats more cake-
Bugger.

ThePFJ · 03/03/2008 21:54

his* not he's.
Gods I can't type.

PortAndLemon · 03/03/2008 22:13

They haven't done anything on how engaged this baby is or isn't for me either (and I'm 36 weeks-ish). Don't know if it's because it's not really worth doing it early for a second or subsequent baby (where you're likely to engage later than for a first pregnancy and baby may bob in and out anyway)? But then I don't remember them doing it with DS before about 36 weeks either (may be selective memory, though).

(Molly... first babies can engage weeks and weeks before you go into labour, I'm afraid. Or mere minutes, or not at all . Hard to predict anything with any certainty...)

TLSM · 03/03/2008 22:18

I think I am too chunky for them to check but hay ho!

I have checked and Peachy has posted today just not here (I am not a stalker I am not)

ThePFJ · 03/03/2008 22:28

You are never too chunky for your MW to unceremoniously ram a couple of fingers into the top of your thatch while you are trying not to tell her to F'ing STOP IT COS IT HURTS.
I mostly would rather she didn't though and used magic or some kind of seance to find the engagement.

ThePFJ · 03/03/2008 23:31

Ooooo I just treated myself to a Black and White Disposable camera and a colour disposable camera with free processing. Very cheap, so got them on next day delivery so O could put them in my hospital bag!
(If the camera doesnt come with a processing envelope you order one for 99p with your camera)
The black and white camera is only £2.40 at the moment!

ok, so peachy seems ok. just wondered, with her having contractions and all.
have a nice day all, I'm going back to bed now. couldn't sleep earlier - the beached whale thing and LO doing stepdance on my ribs.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2008 07:49

Morning everyone!
I haven't actually slept hardly at all...
So bugger it. I am going to try to get back to bed.

EllieG · 04/03/2008 08:58

Mornin' all. I'm hungry already, no time for brekkie at home. I am determined to be healthier than yesterday though, which would not be hard as just ate cake all day

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 09:06

Morning all. System at work is buggered (am secretly jumping up and down in elation), which means I can spend my morning on MN. I´ve missed so much. I understand some of my notes because the letters are the same order as English but some of them aren´t! Will ask gynae on Fri as he speaks perfect English.

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 09:07

I had a really sweet tooth with DS1, which soon went away. Not so much with this one but once I get stuck into choccie, biccies, whatever, no-one gets a look in Ellie - I can´t remember the last time I ate healthily I just can´t seem to get excited about food at the moment.

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 09:09

Quick question as don´t remember this with DS1 ... are Braxton Hicks when your stomach goes rock solid & sort of takes your breath away?

vacaloca · 04/03/2008 09:26

Morning everyone. I haven't slept very well either but still not complaining because this pregnancy has been soooo much easier than the other two when I had bad SPD and bad nights were regular rather than a one-off. I still think I'm being very lucky so far.

Soph - yes, that's braxton hicks. BTW, I'm Spanish so let me know if I can help translating any of your notes.

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 09:29

Morning

Have very bad SPD today. Can hardly walk but i have to go out today, got things to do. Bugger.

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 09:40

MW's just rang me, she said yes it was a show and can happen qa good few weeks before the day Just to ring if i think im in labour.

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 09:41

Morning Scorpio Sorry to hear about the SPD. Vacaloca - hi and thanks for that I shall bring them to school with me tomorrow so I can tell you what they say - if I can decipher my matrona's handwriting

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 09:41

Oooo Scorpio, you could be the first of us to pop - how exciting

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 09:42

not yet though - not quite 35 weeks yet!!

Soph73 · 04/03/2008 09:51

Well, yes, I suppose that is a bit early. Not meaning to wish you into early labour you understand. Two of my colleagues have now had their babies. Can´t believe that I´m next , then two more after me!

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 09:52

goodness - what happens at your work??

northeastmummy · 04/03/2008 09:58

That's really interesting about what the notes mean TPFJ. I have my 34 week check tomorrow so will be sure to see what she writes. I haven't had a check since 28 weeks so there wasn't really much to tell at that point.

I have a VERY sweet tooth that I don't normally have, and I got it with DD too. It did go away, but I still kept eating sweet stuff anyway. This time I'm going to try going low GI as soon as baby is out. PAL - was it you that was eating low GI? How's it been going?
