Lol, I wish I could just stay at home, have the school run to do which takes me two hours and four buses

DP has some clients to see near DD's school thoguh so is trying to arrange to be able to get ehr for me, at least tomorrow he is off as it's hospital time again.

Just hope I don't have to deal with the whole 'Soooo VS whe can we book your CS for'
DP is doing great though, I asked him what he'll say if they mention it and he wants facts and figures for why we cannot wait til 42 weeks
He was originally saying I should have the CS, I think it may have helped that when we saw his aunt last week she and I were talking babies and it turns out she had a VBAC with her 2nd and was saying how much better it was.

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 12:26

Hope they listen to you tomorrow (again!) VS

Had more showy stuff today; rang MW and she almost laughed?? this wasnt bloody though. I told her it was a bit scary, which it is, have never had this before. Feel periody too, but i know thats normal in later weeks.

I'm seeing her on Weds so will reinforce then. i just want her to know its scary!

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 12:27

btw VS, your school run sounds a nightmare!! I hate dong mine and is 2 mins (literally) away.

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 12:43

TMP, you poor thing. I suggest you help your self to a large portion of cake and sod everything else......

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 12:47

actually, I suggest we all do.

I shall now go and make myself a hot chocolate (well press the button on the machine).

Scorpio, I know exactly how you feel..... they can't even tell me if mine is a show or not..

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 12:55

have just found out, over the weekend, that a girl from my year at school is heavy pg with her 5th child!! (she is 22).

She always looks so ill when pg, tired, they are on benefits, she calls her kids the c word in the street.

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 13:00

Wowsers there was a girl near me when i was pg with DS, on her 5th and one of them she had given up for adoption to a neighbour!
She used to sleep with all the young lads in the street and they all had diff dads that she didn't even klnow whose was whose, she was 23 at the time.

BTW scorpio, can you help out over here

TheMaskedPoster · 10/03/2008 13:05

Just got back from taking DD to nursery - YUCK to the weather today (although she was loving it!)

Cake sounds spot on y'know BR - good idea that.

I mostly live in track pants now too Scorpio - although every now and then I have a 'nice' pair of jeans that I put on 'if I'm going out' etc ... however this weekend we had a party to go to and do you think anything would look ok .. no! hurrrumph. So I was aimlessly standing in front of the mirror swaying backwards and forwards wanting someone (ie DH) to say 'you look lovely', when he comes out with 'no amount of swaying will turn you into a size 10 you know - har har harrrrr' - cue tears and tantrums from moi. He quickly amended that huge FUBAR by saying that I looked beautiful and I always do blah blah blah (and dd joined in to) - so more tears etc ... finally got out the door about 1/2 hour late! ah well - hormones and all.

sorry - rant over - but sheesh .. MEN!

YEs VS - your school run sounds a real 'mare! I don't mind mine really as only 5 mins down the road, but in weather like this it is nasty¬! Oh and hope they listen to you tomoz too VS.

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:05

i posted

Makes me , for her as well as the children.

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 13:05

OMG. C word, in the street? Nice.....

Oh and now I feel really old.

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:07

how old are you??you cant be that old! Think i am the baby here though....

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 13:08

..and there're ladies such as my cousin who can't have children and has been through hell and back (4 x ICSI) and still no joy and then there's 'people' like these 'ladies' who pop 'em out like peas and don't give a shit... life just isn't fair is it.

Have drunk hot chocolate and finished horrible spreadsheet so feeling slightly more melancholy...

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 13:09

41 in May... old!!!

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 13:09

Old enough to be your mummy! Arrrrggghhh

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:09

no its not fair. i dont find it fair that i want more children but DH doesn't (as a whole), but yet others like her have them over and over.

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 13:10

I got some new track pants and bras yesterday as it's the only things I can seem to buy!

My school run is horrendous. But that's what you get for moving to a village in the middle of nowhere. DD could go to the local school in the next village, there is even a free bus from the street next to ours but it's supposed to be pretty crap so I'd prefer to do the school run and keep her where she is.

Hence me needing to drive!

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:10

lol my mum is only a few years older than you

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:11

VS - i'm going to have driving lessons after Millie is born, within a few weeks. When are you starting? We can hold each others hands!

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 13:12

Agree with the unfairness of it all, my aunt was unable to have children and then she died quite young (about 50) of cancer, leaving my uncle alone
Also the amount of people you see on here with recurring miscarriage or IVF going on etc, it's bloody horrid.

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 13:12

Thanks!!! That makes me feel so much better... right, wehre's my emergency supply of chocolate....LOL

VS, well done for sticking to what you want regardless of the inconvenience. You're a brave lady... bad anough coming into the City to work, don't think I could face a 2 hour school run.

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:13

BR - was just teasing

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 13:14

DP reckons he wants to take me driving tomorrow
I'm insured on his company car as it has spousal insurance or something and he is convinced I should start asap.
I want to be driving by september hopefully.
Booking my theory asap I think, that should be the easy part!

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 13:15

im too scared to drive our car without having a lesson or 2 first i used to drive our old car alot but never our new one. DH reckons our new car is far easier to drive. I am aiming for Xmas.

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 13:18

Go for it VS. If you feel comfortable driving then the more experience you get behind the wheel, the more road awareness you'll have and the more confident you'll be.

Scorpio, s'ok I actually have no hang up about my age at all. I quite like being 40 as I can chat up the young lads at work and say what I like as I'm 40, married and pregnant!!

I'm lucky enough to be low risk and have fairly easy pregnancies too, hence the home birth.

Does feel funny that I could be mummy to half the mummies on here though!!

BR

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 13:18

All these x-posts!

BR- DD's old school was a shithole, she was constantly complaining to me about certain children that the teachers had no control over, and sadly the parents werent at all bothered so it wasn't changing. She was assaulted a number of times and it took every ounce of my self control not to give the parents a taste of their own medicene!

When DP and I moved in together (he is stepdaddy to my two) we moved 4 miles away to eb close to his family and thankfully away from my XP, the first school we looked at we fell in love with, the head was like something out of harry potter, I've not had one problem with ehr there and she is exceedng my expectations, plus happy as larry, so it would be really selfish of me to take her out of there now. Plus I like the other parents and her friends and the teachers etc and as we live in a rented house we could have to move at any point, so moving her schools out of convenience is a no-brainer really.
