BP in pregnancy needs to be monitored by medical people

A borderline reading could have a bad outcome in one person but not affect someone else.

If one is told that one's BP is high by a medical person, then please take notice of what is being said.

sarahmikeandharry · 06/02/2008 23:36

Hi all, well had no effects at al from castor oil, no needning to dash tothe toilet, or anything!!!!

Went up to bed bout 8-45 watching tv, DH came up had showever we were chatting away and at about 9-15 we heard a click and i felt a pop in my bump very low down!!!! thought nothing of it, except how strange!!!!

At 10 pm my waters burst all over the bed, DH just sat staring at the puddle!!lol-

For the last hour and half i have been contracting about every 6 mins, and loosing fluid so i am guessing this is it for me, fingers crossed

Omy, if you click on anyone's name where they have posted, you will see their profile (if they have set one up), at the bottom of the profile page it will say "Egg's pictures" or whoever you are looking at, and you click there and see lots of lovely babies )!

CountTo10 · 07/02/2008 09:56

Hi all, hope everyone's ok.

Congrats to all the new hatchlings.

Things starting to settle back down here and feel a bit less chaotic. jack's nickname is laid back jack as he is so chilled which is a complete contrast to how ds1 was. Ds1 still being absolutely fantastic although he got really upset when I dropped him off at nursery this morning as he wanted ds2 to stay with him. I just came home and really blubbed!!! First real tears I've had so think a bit hormone related too

Ds2 seems to be settling into a good feeding pattern now although he ges a bit fussy in the evening feeding every hour for 2-3 hours amid various nappy changes (this child can poo like no other!!!) but then he does sleep for a good 3-4 hrs in the night so can't complain. He's just so yumcious. I just like to kiss his cheeks lots and lots!!!

I've put a photo up of both my boys, ds2 needed feeding hence the angry face and ds1 has mastered the last minute sticking out of the tongue as you click the button on the camera!!!

Sarah - your doc sounds like a total w**r, thank god for the midwife. Hope you're holding up ok x

widgetsmummy · 07/02/2008 10:26

yay yay yay! go Sarah!!! so pleased things are happening! good luck and lots of happy birthing vibes to you!

thanks for the birth stories and pics - very jealous... the babes are gorgeous and Count your DS1 looks well cheeky!

lolo - hope things get going for you too after the sweep and if not then you have a great induction experience, will look forward to hearing your news.

not much else to say really, another day of maternity leave with all the jobs I could do but probably wont!

will check in on us all later x

mymissus · 07/02/2008 11:15

Well done Merly and GOOD LUCK Sarah!

Alkar and Countto10 - gorgeous babies - making me VERY broody.

I am feeling really heavy and tight bump now, and its not easy to move around. However the painter has just arrived to do all the bits I can't reach, so I kind of don't want to go into labour until he has finished...!!!!!

mymissus · 07/02/2008 11:16

Crossed posts - well done to Joosey too!! How exciting - its all happening so quickly!!

beansprout · 07/02/2008 11:38

Bugger, typed a really long post and then it got lost!!

Short version - congratulations to Merly and Alkar and welcome to your lovely babies!!

Go Sarah, go Sarah!! I am keeping everything crossed that that waste of a man doesn't come anywhere near you during your labour. As someone who is recovering from a c-section I cannot believe he just used the phrase "zip you open". Anyway, look forward to hearing your birth story!!

HV has just been. Incredible. Sample question, "Does your child have a disability?"
"No"
"Does your child's disability affect his quality of life?"
"Er, no"
HV then says, "you are very quiet".
Er, well give me something meaningful or even half relevant to engage with then?!!!
She then told me that ds2 looks like a 2mo baby (ok, he is big, 10 and half pounds already, but even so....). Get out of my house woman!!!!

Jaysthird · 07/02/2008 11:38

Morning all, Sarah, how exciting!!!! hope things are progressing for you, look forward to some news

Joosey, well done and congratulations on your neew arrival! Seems like there are a lot of 'quickies' going on here Seth is a great name also.

Mymissus, i feel exactly the same. Went to the garden centre today, had to sit down on there display chairs as i had massive BH took my breath away, have also been feeling very low cramps, i am not due for another 3 weeks so i know nothing is imminent - just nice to know that things are being practised!

Almost finished the new nursery, will have some pics up soon. if anyone wants a nosey have a look at our website

www.peanutmonkey.co.uk

beansprout · 07/02/2008 11:39

And congratulations to Joosey!! (We can moan about big baby comments together!!!)

Sherida · 07/02/2008 11:45

Grats Joosey! Gorgeous name .

I've been to the midwife and she's booked me in for a sweep next Friday morning, assuming her team meeting doesn't clash (!) with it. Hope baby comes before then!

omy · 07/02/2008 12:08

Beansprout - HV sounds like a moron!!

sarahmikeandharry · 07/02/2008 13:14
