is anyone else ridiculously emotional? we watch this american cop thriller thing called cold case and i have sobbed my heart out over every single episode. not a tear drop. proper racking sobs!

hedgepig · 04/02/2008 21:31

CSWS thanks for doing the list I have a DS not a DD although I do have a lovely picture of him in a pink leotard and sparkley fairy wings (one to show the girlfriend when he gets older I think )
Tedmundo I will see if they have more than one, it's 5 yrs since I was last pg so things can change.

sambrads · 05/02/2008 08:04

Hi Sambrads (grin)

I have heard that asprin in very small doses thickens the blood and helps some babies stick. Having had two chemical PG's I was wondering if I should take some. But was thankfully reminded not to unless instructed to by a mediacal pofessional. Let's hope this one is a natural sticker.

The monitor or reflexology worked for me this cycle

Was your day as hectic as you were expecting it to be yestaerday? Are you feeling sick today?

fairydust2 · 05/02/2008 08:39

Congratulations to all the new people! This thread is getting really busy now, which is great!

"Lissielou" I was sobbing away yesterday because my dh moaned about something I'd done. I'm not generally like that so putting it down to the hormones. If I wasn't pregnant, I think he would have suggested that I seek mental help.

"07Mumstheword" I've heard the same about aspirin but definitely agree with everyon that you shouldn't even consider it unless advised by the doctor. Hopefully, it will be third time lucky for you!

bethoo · 05/02/2008 09:12

still no symptoms here!!! though still cramps

SydneyB · 05/02/2008 09:19

Hello all - how about we try and cheer this thread up? We are all so worried and stressed about no symptoms and early m/c which of course for those who have already been through it but feel extra extra stressful, but lets just stick together, take every day as it comes and try and keep ourselves upbeat. What do you all say? Is lovely to have all these newcomers too and its so nice to come here every day and check on everyone but I'm worried enough in my own way without being worried by everyone else!

Really, really think that Aspirin is not recommended at all in pregnancy unless specifically prescribed.

Hang in there everyone - you know there is quite a good chance that we'll all make it through together!

bethoo · 05/02/2008 09:22

Sydney - i wish i was as positive as you but i do nto think i can do this again, i hate the waiting and the mws are dismissive, i fi ask for blood test to check pregnancy hormones will they do it?

SydneyB · 05/02/2008 09:24

Oh Bethoo, poor you. I am probably not as positive as I sound but I really think its the only way I can get through this waiting. What will be will be and there's nothing we can do about it. Which isn't entirely helpful but I think the only thing we can do is take each day as it comes - each day that nothing bad happens is another day towards full term isn't it? And you must stop worrying about those cramps - I am having them too and I had them with DD too.

SydneyB · 05/02/2008 09:25

And the thing is that having more tests and tests for pregnancy hormone is just going to make you more stressed isn't it? When the best thing you can do for your body is to try and relax. Hard I know!

Sydney - i know but it is the not knowing if it will be or not that bugs me. if i knew either way i would be happy. i wish i never found out til i was 12 weeks like some other people. i am noteven going ot book in wiht the doctor/mw til about 10 weeksif i have not bled by then.

Julezboo · 05/02/2008 09:58

Morning all

Congrats and welcome to all the new BFPs!!!

How is everyone feeling today?

I think I have man flu. Feel shite!

Hospital just rung and my consultant wants to see me fri for a scan instead of wed which is better! So i can try to relax now till fri morning x

fairydust2 · 05/02/2008 10:12

Great news Julez. I saw your news on the other thread about your HCG levels increasing dramatically too! Are they still thinking it might be twins?

Bethoo - I know exactly how you feel but Sydney is right, just try and remain positive. It's perfectly normal not to have many symptoms at this stage. Try not to worry and relax as much as you can.

bethoo · 05/02/2008 10:15

thanks i will try and be positive especially as i am being selfish and do not want to depress everyone else.
we are all in the same waiting game.

Julezboo · 05/02/2008 10:58

Fairydust i dont think my midwife knows what shes thinking. She is obsessed about me being sure if im bleeding or not. Im not though thankfully and with my last 5 pregnancies i have bled by now so Im going good I think!

bethoo - as patronising as it sounds, you'll be fine

bethoo · 05/02/2008 11:10

Julezboo - you do not sound patronising at all. i am thinking positive. looking forward to a little sibling for Hayden, is it wrong ot hope for anolther boy as kept all Haydens clothes and would be nice to have two little boys fighting playing with each other

Julezboo · 05/02/2008 12:43

well girls looks like im out i just started bleeding pretty heavy

loulou33 · 05/02/2008 12:49

lissielou - yes i'm very emotional - sobbed all the way through er this week every time they showed Abby with her son in hopsital, kept thinking about if it was my own ds!!! How pathetic.....still not sleeping. I keep waking in the night and can't get back off again, then DS woke with v.high temp at 4.30 so that was me for the night. Little bugger is absolutely fine this am whereas i feel like crap .

i find if i think about having stomach cramps - they get worse, if i ignore them, they go away - they definitely get worse if i stress about something even if its not being pg. i dont know but maybe there's something in the idea that you can think and analyse too much???
