Time for new thread. I'll add a link on the old one.

Now now... let's be nice about other people's (seemingly meaningless) threads. Not really the season to name and shame, is it?

Besides. it is always possible that other people think a bunch preggie women might not have a howle lot room to talk and the dull subjects that they winge about.

OP posts:
Uwila · 10/12/2004 10:05

For example, some of us preggie women can't even costruct proper sentances!! howle=whole

Morning all!
LAst lecture of the semester today! Yipee! Now all I have to do is concentrate on packing to go to sunny and warm brasil!!!
I feel much better today, thanks for all your good thoughts! It is amazing how your nose can cause pain in the teeth, isn't?!
Berolina - Have fun today seiing your little one wave to you! You probably can find the sex by now... Are you goign to?

LM - I certainly have thoughts similar to yours sometimes!! But hey, I think, better to ask here than stumble through life...

Have a good friday everyone!

Uwila · 10/12/2004 10:35

I'm going to be so jealous if you find out the sex today. I have no patience, and don't really want to wait a second more than necessary. It doesn't really matter which it is, but I just want to know.

Oh, and as for feeling it, I felt a bit of something yesterday. Wasn;t really a kick, more like it got running start and bumped/floated into the wall. Then, I tried to put my hand there to see if I could feel something and he/she swam away. Oh well. I'm 15 1/2 weeks now. So I should start to feel some kicks in the next month.

Lol Well, sorry, just saying it how I see it sometimes, at least I don't bother posting my nasty thoughts on those threads like some people do!

Scraggyaggy · 10/12/2004 13:21

Hello everyone!

Glad to hear that most of us are feeling a lot better than we have done recently.

I'm sure that I have felt flutterings. Movement which is not normal in my belly region anyhow. Especially, if I'm in a "disgareeable" position!!

Just wondering - why is aromatherapy so bad if you're pregnant? I'll be 15 weeks when we go - do you think this is a bad idea?? I mean, if it's ok to eat prawns, then surely I can have a bit of a bath in a hydrotherapy pool? Can anyone shed any light?

katzguk · 10/12/2004 13:52

heres an idea for the northern meet-up

\link{http://www.spa1877.co.uk/first_page.html\spa}

sweetheart · 10/12/2004 13:53

Sorry - that should be EnvyEnvy Envy Envy

berolina · 10/12/2004 14:16

Hi there - thank you for your good wishes.
The scan was amazing - we saw him in really wonderful detail. Yes, him - it's a boy!!!!! Am so happy - would have been just as elated if it had been a girl - it's just somehow even more special now that we can say 'he' instead of 'it'! My feeling was right all along... :) :) :)

MrsWednesday · 10/12/2004 14:19

Oooh, that looks a lovely place Katzguk. Will have to broach the subject with my DH, he'll think I'm meeting a secret lover rather than a group of women Grin. Well he probably won't actually, knowing how I feel (or don't!) about sex at the minute. Sorry you didn't need to know that. But when does the sex drive come back??????

Lipstickmum, I think you do right letting off steam on here! Glad the sickness has gone for you, unfortunately for me it's getting a whole lot worse. Have felt absolutely shocking all day and the only thing that's making me feel better is eating.

Right, I'm off for a lie down on the settee with a magazine as my DS is fast asleep and snoring away on the other settee.

MrsWednesday · 10/12/2004 14:20

Congratulations Berolina! A little boy, how lovely!!!

Uwila · 10/12/2004 14:21

Right. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm crashing the norther meet up. When is it? Cost? If anyone else wants to join me, I'll be glad to give you a ride.

OP posts:
sweetheart · 10/12/2004 14:52

Don't tempt me Uwila!!!! It looks lovely!!! Envy

Scraggyaggy · 10/12/2004 15:01

I'm coming too! Deffo. We just need a date. When are we most likely to want a bit of pampering? A weekend in March? I'm going to bring dp (not to the spa!!), so we can make a weekend of it, as I've never been to Sheffield.

MrsW - Am pleased to say that my sex drive is slowly winding back up again, so I'm sure that once you start feeling better you'll be the same. I need more persuading than usual, I will admit!

Berolina - Congrats! Really pleased for you!

Uwila · 10/12/2004 15:11

Oh yes, Berolina, forgot to say Envy and of course Grin

OP posts:
Uwila · 10/12/2004 15:13

Oh good. We southerners will conquer. I just have to add though, after growing up as a definite midwestern Yankee (in Chicago) I'm having a bit of trouble thinking of myself as a "Southerner".

But, I'm just hinking of drivingup for the day and leaving DH and DD behind.

OP posts:
Lua · 10/12/2004 15:31

Katz, great choice! Let's start talking about dates!

Mrs. W if it makes you feel any better I have no idea how bump was ever made! if you know what I mean...

Berolina, Congrats on the little boy! Now, you can cut half of the names off your list!! Smile
BTW, how have you been feeling? Hopefully you are more reassured at this point!

Scraggyaggy · 10/12/2004 15:33

Uwila - where will you be driving from?

katzguk · 10/12/2004 15:38

i'm more than happy to arrange the spa stuff, i think on saturdays/sundays it is mixed entry (i.e men and women)but that doesn't bother me.

Spring soemtime would be good, i asked when i went before the the lady said you can have the massage once you've stop being sick. I can also higly recommend the manicure, basically people can pick a treatment to suit there budget.

Where it is situated there are lots of places to eat, so we could do an afternoon in the Spa and then grab a bite to eat.

katzguk · 10/12/2004 15:39

will also add all welcome southerners, westerners easterners and northerners!!!

JonahB · 10/12/2004 15:59

Oh my god,

Katzguk, I am there with you having that massage and manicure. Definitely count me in, it looks amazing!!!!

Mrs W, lets just say, it's not just you. I'm still waiting for it to return, i'm at 14.5 weeks. Getting slightly impatient......

Big congratulations Berolina. You must be so happy.

Only another hour to go........

Uwila · 10/12/2004 16:03

I live in Sunbury. Anyone who is remotely on the way is more than welcome to get in my car (but it's only a wee bity Astra so there is a limit.

I'm in for the bite to eat afterwords if it isn't too late, asI will obviously need to drive back to Sunbury... or possibly get a hotel room. And, if I go off and get a hotel room without DH and DD, DH will probably have a fit (which incidentally would serve him right after this morning). But, still in an effort to keep the peace...

As for date, I think I would vote for a bit sooner. I just think it would be nice to meet face to face before we all look like the good year blimp. What about a weekend in February? (but not the (12th or 19th)

OP posts:
Scraggyaggy · 10/12/2004 16:27

Isn't Sunbury near London - that would be a really long drive. Can you get the train? Or stay over?

Uwila · 10/12/2004 16:36

Yes, near London. It will be about 3 hours. I think the train would be just as long. I can leave early, and be there for say noonish. Or if that doesn't suit other people (after all I AM the one gate crashing) I may have to find a hotel in the area.
