@Becca071996 good luck!!! Hope it all goes well. Let us know how you get on

Becca071996 · 05/10/2022 13:00

It went well! Great heartbeat and all looked good, feeling very happy and grateful

Sb86 · 09/10/2022 21:22

Wishing all you lovely ladies the healthiest of pregnancies and smooth births. Unfortunately me and my partner won't be joining the May club, we miscarried on Thursday morning at 8 weeks gestation. Obviously goes without saying that we are heartbroken, we do have children from previous relationships which I'm so thankful for but we wanted a baby together 💔 hopefully we will be able to try again when we feel upto it down the line. Sorry to bring the mood of the thread down with our sad news.

Sending love to you all and your precious cargo xx

So sorry Sb86. I had the same in May this year, it is horrible. Thinking of you and sending best wishes. Look after yourself.

Watsochick · 10/10/2022 22:23

@Sb86 hey thinking of you. Currently going through the same only mines started at 10 weeks although baby wasn’t progressed to 10 weeks that’s just how long it took my body to recognise and start to miscarry :( hope your alright I wanted to pop on to let you know your not alone in this thread. Gutted :(
good luck to all you ladies on the rest of your journey. I’m lucky too as I have a child who is keeping me going right now x

Oh I'm so sorry to read this, it's devastating isn't it...never thought I'd be a part of the 1 in 4 statistic. I'm all over the place at the moment but if I didn't have my children I don't know what I'd do, I'd probably be constantly crying and just stopping in bed. I'm sending love and strength to you and your partner right now xx

Watsochick · 10/10/2022 22:40

@Sb86 it’s awful. Thanks so much for your kind words. Thank god for our family.
our wee blessings will come - good luck big hugs x x

Rivtry2 · 20/10/2022 14:20

Hi All,

Congratulations on you BFP.

I’m roughly 8 weeks pregnant with my 4th.

Hows everyone feeling?

looking forward to chatting with you 😀

ru53 · 20/10/2022 18:02

@Rivtry2 Hello, new to this thread and first time pregnancy but due end of May. Feeling cautiously very excited but trying not to get our hopes up too much until 12 week scan but it's very difficult! We haven't told anyone yet. Is anyone else getting back pain? It's right at the base of my spine, probably doesn't help that I sit at a desk all day. I've googled it and NHS seem to say it's normal and it's ligaments loosening up, but another website said not to ignore lower back pain in pregnancy! I'm going to call my midwife in the morning I think but has anyone experienced this before so early on? I'm 9 weeks 2 days.

BackOnTheBandWagon · 20/10/2022 21:50

@ru53 yep, I'm 10 weeks and have been getting pain at the base of my back when I stand up from my office chair - think I'm sitting still for too long, but I can definitely feel my body starting to loosen up (2nd baby so remember it from last time). Just make sure you take it carefully, as you can injure yourself if you push your body too far / slip in an awkward way

ru53 · 21/10/2022 19:19

@BackOnTheBandWagon thanks for the advice 🙂 I did notice my hip clicking the other day after walking a long way! I think I do need to just listen to my body and not push it too hard. It’s difficult because I am usually pretty active (apart from sitting at a desk all day) and used to walking and jogging a lot - I get restless legs when I don’t move! But thinking about trying some pregnancy yoga or something a bit more gentle.

Please can I have a link to the FB page? And will my Facebook friends definitely not be able see I've joined?

Goldington · 26/10/2022 10:48

Please can I join? I’m due 21 May 2023 so currently 10w3d. Currently feeling horrendous 😭 morning sickness off the scale and already had a stint in hospital being treated for HG! Is anyone else feeling rough?

I would also love to join the FB group too please if I could have the link? Xx

izzyroo92 · 26/10/2022 10:53

@Goldington hey! I'm 9+4 also with HG was in hospital Friday. How are you surviving? My mum is having to pick up my three year old everyday at the moment because it's so impossible !

Have you started antiemetics? Make sure you get on antisickness meds and get them to change them if they aren't working until you find something that does. I had to skip most of the usual ones and go straight to ondansetron and have managed to avoid hospitalisation 🤞🏻 last pregnancy I didn't take a thing and while wasn't hospitalised I absolutely should have been a few times but I was so stubborn I stayed at home and I lost sooo much weight 😬 hope you feel better soon and someone gives you the link to the fb group

@izzyroo92 hey! Jumping on to ask if you're on anything for your HG and if not you need to be to keep yourself well - I would contact GP if you haven't already to get some antisickness meds. You maybe need to try a few before they work as different ones work for different people. Even on antisickness that's working for me some days I still struggle to look after my very active just turned 1 yr old. Definitely try get some help x

izzyroo92 · 26/10/2022 11:00

@mrshendy96 hey yes I'm currently taking two types, I have been sick this morning for the first time since Saturday. I just feel sooo drained and exhausted never experienced anything like it! I find if I'm moving around a lot that's when I start feeling really sick again.

mrshendy96 · 26/10/2022 11:03

@izzyroo92 I think you need to call up and ask to change to something else it sounds like it isn't working very well for you. What is it you're on? It is first line antiemetics or have they move through them and onto something else?

Goldington · 26/10/2022 11:06

Thank you!!

I’m really struggling most days all day until about 7pm then I seem to be okay! I have been given Cyclizine to take but I hadn’t been taking them. I have this fear about taking meds during pregnancy but I think I’m going to have to start them. I also have a 2 year old so my mornings are busy getting her off to childcare then working from home all day. My work have been very understanding though so I’m super lucky there managing lots of breaks etc.

i also have issues with my thyroid which I think has started to flare up again to make me feel even worse! I can’t get in for a blood test for two weeks though 🙄 I’m just hoping it all calms down not too far past 12 weeks 🤞🏼Obviously feeling really lucky to be pregnant again but this one has been tough so far xx

@mrshendy96 I'm on cyclizine and Metoclopramide.

I'm currently in bed and eating plain biscuits and I feel fine. Once I start moving around though it's seems to kick in again. I think mentally it's drained me which isn't helping me get it together

Daisypod · 26/10/2022 19:23

@izzyroo92 I found the cyclizine made me more exhausted and sleepy and also made me feel quite drained emotionally. It might be worth trying something else. Have you tried just the metaclopmide (sorry for the spelling) just on it's owe? That's what I'm on now and much less drained than the cyclizine
