Hello!

5 weeks plus 1 here.

Bit of a surprised as we weren't planning to start trying till next month, so whoops! But here we are. 😅

Second child, so far completely different pregnancy, I had nausea and sickness from about 7 days post ovulation the whole way through. I truly hated pregnancy, and was utterly miserable for the whole 9 months.

So far, only symptoms are the giant aching boobs, and cramping on the daily, which I'm not a huge fan of as it makes me nervous, also can't remember having it last time, but that could be just due to the overriding memory of being 50 shades of nausea.

Hoping if the sickness does start, it at least stays away for the next 3 weeks as I'm on holiday.

So odd how wildly different pregnancy can be. Anyone else had similar?

@BimBimBaloo did you have a girl previously? The old wives tale is that with girls you throw up lots and boys you don’t lol

This definitely did not ring true for me 😂 I had HG with my son 😂

EdinburghGirl1 · 14/09/2022 17:16

@BimBimBaloo I had a girl and wasn't sick just nauseous

BimBimBaloo · 14/09/2022 17:47

Yep, first was a girl! I'll be really surprised if this is another girl, fully expecting a boy with the lack of symptoms, though my sister was the complete other way round, soo I'll with her boy and nothing with her girl, bring on the 20 week scan!

LilyKitten · 15/09/2022 14:23

I am so tired! But no other "symptoms" as such. In fact if I hadn't tested I would just have though I was knackered. I'm trying to relax and just take everything one day at a time, but feeling very overwhelmed today with worrying about things and then trying not to worry. It's exhausting.

blitzen · 15/09/2022 14:49

I'm absolutely in shock with my BFP today. I would love to join the board please! My due date is 22/23 May 2023.

I hope everyone is feeling okay. I'm feeling a bit rough but thought it was PMT.

wontonsoupless · 17/09/2022 08:21

I've got my BFP yesterday and I'm over the moon. I'm apparently due on the 27th of May. I don't know about everyone else has symptoms and how they are prepping.

Due May 2023 ♥️
Moraxella · 18/09/2022 22:05

Hi 👋 due 1st May prob. Horrendous nausea from the outset, trying different antisickness meds. Had this first preg (boy). Have scanned myself and checked there’s just one in there 😅

izzyroo92 · 19/09/2022 12:32

Hi all!

Tentatively joining. Due end of May, however this is my third pregnancy this year. My last two two pregnancy were MMC unfortunately so I'm not feeling to hopeful but it's nice to have people to chat to. This will be my second baby.

Beck251 · 19/09/2022 12:46

Hi everyone, I’m so shocked - got my BFP after 1st cycle TTC with my first. I’ve had a bit of cramping the past few days (which I initially thought was my period arriving), and I’ve been feeling tired and nauseous. Last week I had tender nipples and a really sharp pain on my left side - but this was like an electric shock and came and went.

Could the Facebook group link be re-shared so that I can join if possible?

Hi, I found out I’m pregnant after coming back from holiday 3 days ago, I’m a first time mum and nervous that everything will go to plan. Any advice gratefully received. Clear blue says I’m 2-3 weeks since conceived so I’m guessing that makes me 6 weeks in a couple of days according to my last period. Due around 20th May.

della22 · 19/09/2022 15:24

Hi, I would like to join the fb page please but saying link has expired

Becca071996 · 21/09/2022 22:11

Please can I have the updated Facebook link? :)

S.Johal · 23/09/2022 02:41

Hey! I'm 20th may 2023 !!found out 2 days ago 20.09.22
It's my first baby so I'm new to the fatigue and symptoms. How is everyone finding the tiredness!? And having to contain the secrete

MWT · 24/09/2022 07:26

Is it possible to have an updated Facebook link?! I did join then didn't think I was pregnant. I am 🙈

MWT · 24/09/2022 14:59

@PopcornForDinner it didn't tag earlier! Is it possible to have the link again please?

Jade57 · 25/09/2022 11:34

Hi girls, hoping I can jump on! We found out super early 8th September I'm pregnant. I was 3 weeks 4 days! So it feels like an eternity to get to today 6 weeks 3 days. I'm due 19th May according to my private scan I had on Friday. If feels real now that we were able to see the heartbeat on the screen. Is anyone else worried about the lack of medical attention in the first trimester? I have 2 children already and both times I seen my doctor straight away for blood tests then seen the midwife shortly after they got height weight etc. i done my self referral to hospital 2 weeks ago and Havnt heard anything back. I have been in contact with the community midwife who said they don't see me until 16 weeks. I had a lot of implantation bleeding in the beginning which I could see on my early scan so that was relief. Sending everyone lots of love

TheBeesKnee · 25/09/2022 23:20

@Jade57 16 weeks?! That's insane. Our local trust don't want to know until you're 8 weeks, I also did a self-referral form a few weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant (6+6 today). It does feel a bit removed, almost negligent? Especially as you hear about people who suffered early losses or you hear from Australians or Americans seeing obgyns etc as soon as possible.

What were your blood tests for last time, and do you need the same again this time?

Jade57 · 25/09/2022 23:23

@TheBeesKnee I'm not sure what the blood tests were for I was told they are just routine I had them with both my previous children. I think they test for your rhesus status, hcg levels and I think other things. There's been no mention of anything this time tho and I'm assuming I will get an appointment for 12 weeks scan. I don't like how it's being done this time

Victoria98 · 25/09/2022 23:45

Hi congratulations everyone, just had my first private scan and due May 3rd. I wanted reassurance as not long had a miscarriage.
