Hi everyone, can I join?

Got my bfp last week and due 13th May according due date calculator.

This will be my first and we were ttc for just over a year. Got an early scan in for 8+2 at the start of Oct because I still don't quite believe I'm actually pregnant 😅

H1994 · 06/09/2022 15:03

@Phoebe93 I've also got my 8+2 week scan in the first week of October! I'm predicted to be due 17th May :) Welcome.

Phoebe93 · 06/09/2022 17:21

@H1994 it's so exciting isn't it? I can't wait for October to come round! I feel like this is going to the longest month of my life.

This will sound daft but I've got loads of the seven seas conception tablets left because I bought in bulk thinking it would take at least a few more months. Does anyone know if its OK to keep taking these or would it be best to just move onto the pregnancy ones? 🤔

@Phoebe93 super exciting, it's my first pregnancy too so I get a bit nervous sometimes 😅🙈 trying to work out if symptoms/no symptoms are good as they come and go!

It should say on the packet? The pregnacare ones say you can take the rest of the packet before moving onto others... xx

Is anyone else's evening starting to look a bit predictable? Mine is cramps, nausea.

Good afternoon ladies, first of all let me start by saying congratulations to everyone. It's only myself and my partner who know so I'm thankful for this group!

I got my bfp last night 14dpo after a bfn on 12dpo, I was going to wait for fmu today but I couldn't wait. Our due date is 16th of May, early days and it's going to seem to take forever to get to the first scan but it's slowly starting to sink in 😊. This will be my 4th child and it's been a while since they were babies but I'm excited to experience it all again ❤️

Congratulations on all the recent bfp’s!!
can I please ask for some advice .. I posted about getting bfp in August. So I had positive opk the 10th of august then bfp around the 24th of August. As I have such irregular periods and ovulate later than the usual “28 cycle” does anyone know roughly how many weeks I’d be, would I just count from my positive opk ??
the reason I’m asking as I obviously thought I was around 7 weeks going by my last Af however I had a scan and it was way off. Which has totally deflated me :( but I’m not thinking as I ovulated later I could actually be a bit behind now. Any advice or similar stories??? Like I say I’m clueless x

sunshine1987 · 07/09/2022 20:48

@Watsochick i had a positive OPK on the 10th August too, so going by that I would be 5 weeks 6 days. NHS would put me at 6 weeks 2 days. Last time my due date was moved closer to the date I calculated by ovulation

Hey @sunshine1987 thank you so much for replying !!! That’s so reassuring !! I was measuring today 5+3 - I had positive opk10/11 so I could have ovulated even 12th so that would be about right wish I hadn’t went for the scan but as I thought I was further on I thought it would have confirmed pregnancy and I could have at least told my parents.
she did say to go and get bloods done at epu but I’ll just leave it and see if things progress. She did say she didn’t seem overly concerned just said I did look earlier.
thanks again for replying x

@Watsochick if you had a positive on the 11th then like you say you would be about 5+5 and I would say (though I’m no expert) at that gestation that I can’t imagine it would be easy to measure and get an accurate date. If it puts your mind at ease then go get your levels checked but for those of us who ovulate later than day 14 the NHS way of dating us is so rubbish

Watsochick · 07/09/2022 21:12

@sunshine1987 yeah it’s rubbish when you have irregular periods and late ovulation!! There was a shadow but no confirmed yolk sac. I maybe call for advice tomorrow but hopefully all is good and just too early ! X

@Watsochick keeping everything crossed for you but I’m sure it’s just a case of having a scan too early xx

All ok thank you, no symptoms really, just more tired than normal. Do you have any?

Hi, can I join? Got my bfp last week this will be baby no5 for me, I have 3 older children 12,11,8 and an October 21 baby. We were well and truly done with the 4, and being very careful but obviously not careful enough 🙈Only my husband and I know so far and I’m hoping to keep it to just us for as long as possible, preferably till the day I give birth 😌just can’t be dealing with all the judgements and comments. NHS due date calculator gives EDD as 8th May, but my cycles were all over the place as I was breastfeeding, so could be due a bit later.

Welcome @TigOlBitties (absolutely love the name, made me chuckle!)

You're a fair bit ahead of me, my EDD is 17th May (2 days before my birthday!) - This will be baby no.1!

Hi, I'm popping over from the very successful May TTC thread.. Got BFP on the 6th. This is our second who is due on the 11th. My birthday is the 7th so hopefully doesn't arrive on the same day!

I'm sure it will be fine, but I'm already having a wobble over looking after DS and a baby (DS will be 25 months and is currently a bit of a maniac who won't sit still for anything!). I'd have liked a slightly bigger gap but I'm 36 and DS was 13 months to conceive so I didn't want to put it off any longer. As it turned out this time we got lucky 3rd cycle!
