Oh if didn't show what I typed when quoted lol / trying to get a new FB link

sunshine1987 · 26/09/2022 18:03

@jade57 you’ll have a booking in appointment before 12 weeks, they do your bloods there (least they do here). That appointment comes from the referral. But yeah after that isn’t until 16 weeks and then for us we won’t get another midwife appointment until 28 weeks (except the 20 week scan)

Jade57 · 26/09/2022 18:25

@sunshine1987 thanks for the info. It's been 8 years since I done all this I feel in limbo to be honest. Don't know what I'm suppose to be doing lol

sunshine1987 · 26/09/2022 18:31

@Jade57 this bit before the 12 week scan feels like forever as you’re just basically waiting around on limbo

EdinburghGirl1 · 27/09/2022 06:42

@Jade57 yes you should have booking appointment around 8 weeks. I have mine next week at almost 9 weeks and was same last time 6 years ago. I had my bloods taken at that appointment. You should have your appointment already. It seems to be up here in Scotland or at least Edinburgh we are the only ones to get appointments straight away. I called to self refer and got given both my booking appointment and my scan appointment there and then on that phone call. I know others have had to wait weeks to get there's from these chats though which must be so frustrating

Jade57 · 27/09/2022 07:36

@EdinburghGirl1 I will maybe give my maternity unit a call this week, it was 3 weeks ago I done the self referral. I'm 7 weeks on Friday and Havnt heard anything. I'm in NI so I'm not sure if that's different

Here's an updated link to the FB group:

Hi I've just found out I'm pregnant about 5 weeks, due at the end of may

Victoria98 · 27/09/2022 20:05

Hi can I have the link to the Facebook page please

Jade57 · 27/09/2022 21:15

Has anyone had any experience with bleeding early in pregnancy? I'm 6weeks 4 days. I had a scan a few days ago where everything was ok. She did notice an implantation bleed on the scan and said it was normal. This evening I wiped and had bright red blood. About an hour before this I had been for BM, I'm quite constipated at the minute so I did strain. I'm unsure what I should do. I don't have any cramps

sunshine1987 · 27/09/2022 21:27

@Victoria98 its posted up above a few comments before yours

Hi everyone!

Just found out I'm pregnant - due around the 31st May, so I'm just going to squeeze into this group... would love another link to the FB group too if poss? This is our first time, and it's all happened quite quickly, so feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything at the moment, but it's so reassuring to read all your stories... 😁

Hi @emilyowen88 I’m due on the 28th roughly! It’s also my first time and we conceived on the first cycle TTC so also feeling a bit overwhelmed! I never imagined it would all happen so fast!

Hi hi @Beck251 and @emilyowen88 - another overwhelmed first timer here! I honestly (and I guess rather ridiculously in hindsight) expected to be trying for months. We hadn't even properly "started" and some Sunday funday clearly did the trick - I know how lucky that makes me in some regards - but I also feel so unprepared! I have no idea what I'm doing!!

Due on 19th May, so currently 6+6 and oh my dayssss has the nausea hit this week Confused

TheBeesKnee · 29/09/2022 19:29

@alisonofagun if it makes you feel any better I've been trying for 3 years and 10 months and I also feel caught off guard and overwhelmed 😳

alisonofagun · 29/09/2022 19:34

@TheBeesKnee I guess no amount of time really prepares you for it happening! (And congrats Smile)

Becca071996 · 30/09/2022 10:17

@TheBeesKnee I feel this! We tried for a year and are hitting the panic stations feeling very overwhelmed

BackOnTheBandWagon · 03/10/2022 09:53

Late to this party but would love to join! Due 19th May with my second, although with baby no 1 my due date got moved up a few days so I guess we'll see come 12 week scan.

Luckily I'm doing ok - absolutely shattered but not much nausea, so hoping is stays on this track...

Will join the fb group too :)

BackOnTheBandWagon · 03/10/2022 09:54

fb link has expired - is someone able to post it again?

Jade57 · 03/10/2022 13:36

@BackOnTheBandWagon were due date twins lol. My 6 week scan gave me either the 18th or 19th

BackOnTheBandWagon · 03/10/2022 21:33

@Jade57 Smile I'm just going off my cycle dates atm, which would be either 19th or 20th. I'm hoping this little one will be a bit closer to due date - I was ten days over with my DS, and if that happens again we'll have some birthday clashes in our house!!

Phoebe93 · 04/10/2022 08:18

Has anyone had an early scan yet?

We went for ours a few days ago and it was so reassuring to see bub and heartbeat 💓 I don't think we could have waited another month until our 12 week scan!

Jade57 · 04/10/2022 08:20

@Phoebe93 yes I had one 2 weeks ago when I was 6 weeks. We have another one booked for 9 weeks and then we will have the 12 week nhs one. It helps to calm the nerves seeing baby doesn't it

happymaybaby · 04/10/2022 18:44

Over the moon! Got my first midwife appointment lol. It's felt like the longest wait in the world. Now the next thing will be the countdown to the 12 week scan!

Becca071996 · 04/10/2022 18:47

Early scan tomorrow, so excited, so nervous! I'll be around 7 weeks!

Seeing a heartbeat would make my year and will make this all feel so much more real!
