So glad I'm not the only one with a definite bump. Had a real day of panic yesterday over its size and that it might be twins. My brother and sister are so the genes are around... Anyway, feeling more sensible today having read that I'm not the only one.

12 weeks for me in less than an hour! Doesn't feel like a milestone though until I've had the scan and all is looking well.

Having been pretty lucky on the MS front - just nausea and not too bad so far - I had a REALLY close call in a colleague's car on Friday. Not good! Haven't felt right since, but just really tired, headachey and sick. And I thought it should be getting better now!

YAY for TS reaching 12 weeks yesterday, and YAY for poppysocks, warthog, hazieandbaby and me for reaching 12 weeks today (I know my date says 16th, I just haven't changed it yet....will do so after scan on weds, assuming date doesn't change again!)

Went into town last night and despite me wanting to be in bed at 9pm we had fun - shhh, I even had a glass of wine! Going out again tonight, but only to watch Sweeney Todd at the cinema.

I don't think I have a bump yet, just fat protruding over the top of my jeans . Won't be long though until it looks more like a bump than too many pies (I hope!!).

Morning All

CC am the same only worse, I was lying in bed this morning sucking in my huge stomach (am not being unkind just true lol) trying to work out if there was any bump there at all!!! In my defence I do tend to breed whoppers Very impressed with your managing to go out after dark, am clock watching past 7pm at the moment! Hoping to feel better once manage to shift this virus.

Managed an omlette this morning thank goodness as with sore throat/ulcers/toothache my eating has been pretty sporadic of late

IlanaK am sorry to hear about your bad bot issues, am doing ok so far but have to admit apart from the stitches I thought that the piles was the WORST this about labour ever. Nobody mentions that to you do they?!? I used to cry for hours after going to the loo both times and was on lactalose for ages just to make it bearable. Am dreading it again this time but apart from asking baby not to progress down during birth not much I can do about it!! Have a few tips to help make it easier if you want them just let me know x

poppysocks delighted to have someone so nearby! Are you going to ninewells or does being in St Andrews mean you're care is somewhere else? Am not sure how it works although I know being in Tayport I fall under Northeast fife midwife care. Am part of another forum for Tayside/north fife/angus/perth mns if you want to pop over and say hi?

hi,haven't posted for ages. Congrats to all those reaching 12 weeks! I'm now nearly 11 weeks. I'm lucky to have no sickness this pregnancy but the tiredness is unbelievable. I find a couple of hours after eating I feel so awful, really ill tired. And going to sleep in the day seems to make me feel worse! Does anyone else find this? I know people say you feel more tired with your second but as my first is nearly 5 its not like I'm running round after her!
My actual due date is 26th august,

Welcome Jenny. Scan's in less than 24 hours now. I just can't wait. Feeling horrible. Belly must be going through another growth spurt plus my headache is constant now. Food, drink and sleep don't seem to be helping. Not really feeling up to parties but we're committed to go to 2 Super Bowl parties this evening. The company will hopefully perk me up but I've already planned to return home early as I'll have to be up by 5AM to get ready & travel into town for my scan. Post sounds a little down...will take a minute then return with a little more positive vibe.

i too have a dd nearly 6yrs yet same sort of experiences here too I'm now 11 weeks gone , lucky not to have no sickness this pregnancy either but the tiredness is unbelievable too .i,ve put it down to being in my tired 30,2 had loads of energy in my 20,s lol

i,m too bad in the morn but by the end of the day i,m shattered no matter what ,plus at work mon-thru very week is enough.

bare with it i,m hoping it settles a little during 2nd trimester for us all

Twighlight - it is ok to be a bit down - it is so scary having the 12 week scan. I also had a bad headache that i assumed was pregnancy related for a few days before mine - but it disappeared after the scan and must of been worry related. I wonder if you will start feeling a bit better then. Ok i am going to wait for your positive post now

Oh and where is the belly shot - i want to compare. I now have a very obvious bump appearing above my pelvic bone!

Okay I just PUKED all my negativity into the trash can. LITERALLY! Two pieces of toast and one glass of OJ/Pineapple juice later...I'm feeling much better. And I posted my belly shot from last night. Only put of the side shot as the front shot looks the same as the first one. You can barely SEE the change but it is filling out nicely. It FEELS a whole lot bigger so I guess the camera DOESN'T ADD pounds afterall.

Lcy I hope you're right and my headache disappears after the scan tomorrow. It sort of comes and goes right now but it's like wearing a helmet of pain at times. ARGGHH! It hinders my thinking ability.....which is alreay handicapped .

Hehe DH reckons he's going to stay up and watch the superbowl tonight (11pm I think) as he has the week off. However, we have schoolrun to do then scan at 9.15am (he will be wrestling DS in the waiting room) then he is redecorating our room (inc reflooring.)

I'm 12w+4 and still queasy, had to go retch in a client's loo this morning! Must get DH to photograph my fat pot.

i'd love some tips about what can help please (to whoever offered earlier)

Good luck to all who have scans this week x

I'm such a nerd. I was googling 12 weeks + 1 day and found that google will do math... So I typed 12 weeks + 1 day minus 280 days and google informed me that equals 195 days. I only have 195 days left in this pregnancy. (That's if I go full term.) That equals 6.5 months. Like I said, I'm a nerd but thought I'd share anyway.

Have officially gone wild with food today. DH took DD & me to my favorite place for brunch. I had chicken and dressing with greenbeans. YUM YUM. Two hours later I DEMANDED a pork stuffed potato. DH drove me to yet a second restuarant only to find they were out of potatoes!! I almost lost it. I had to settle for a pork sandwich with potato wedges. THEN when I got home and had BROWNIES!!!! We haven't even been out to our two Super Bowl parties yet. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT FOODs WILL BE AVAILABLE. {didn't i just write that i didn't have an appetite?}

I just found an ultrasound picture on the web that shows a 12 week old baby BOY. The ultrasound tech was the father who got lucky when the baby turned just right for the photo. Soooooo the gender parts can be seen at 12 weeks if you're a VERY GOOD TECH and the baby cooperates.

I had loads to eat yesterday- we did a Mexican-ish fiesta for family as it was DS's 3rd birthday. I had at least 2 wraps stuffed full (inc refried beans) and a big bowl of veggie chilli - expecting a noisy, smelly fart on the ultrasound table later when they prod my tummy. Plus loads of sweets from the pinata (how violent is that game???), some rocket-shaped birthday cake and about a gallon of coke. Went to bed at 8pm to avoid the nausea and having to eat more. Hope everyone had such a good day.
