so, scan went well and we are only having the one (phew!). Saw the heart beat and tiny bean is just 2cm crown to rump!!
8w 4d, gives me a revised due date of aug 16th. Yay, am so happy!!

according to babycentre you're due on 10th Aug, thats calculated on 28day cycle, am surprised they didn't tell you with their wheel chart thingy (am sure there is a more technical name of rit than that lol)

sugary weetabix & nap hasn't helped at all and its now time to collect the cherubs from nursery - am now wondering if I am coming down with the viral infection they all had last week and this isn't a late bout of first trimester crappiness

i did start a journal but stopped when i started bleeding. haven't really felt confident enough to start it again. And yes this is my first

i'm thinking about getting a doppler to put my mind at rest. any recommendations from anyone?

how do you know you're 14+4? i still can't work it out! but if you're 14+4 that must mean i'm 14+5
i'm so confusd about it!

Miamla ? having your own Doppler would be fun. But just think, in about 4?6 weeks you'll probably start feeling the baby move about and you won't be so worried about it 'being' there, you'll have little reminders all day!

Afternoon ladies,
Great news on all the scans, and fingers crossed for those of you who have them coming up in the next couple of days. I called the hospital and they said they'd be sending my date out in the next couple of days but it was likely to be around 14 Feb when I am 13 weeks. Fingers crossed it's not actually on that day, though - DH is the other side of the country for work on Valentines and cannot move it, apparently, although he did say there is no way he's missing seeing his second baba.

I've been having very weird dreams as well - teeth fell out a couple of nights ago, and last night had very naughty one about the dark haired curly guy from Green Wing and the Barclaycard ads. Weird. I think I woke up with my unruly eyebrows (can't face getting them sorted until sickness over) at the very top of my forehead, I was so surprised.

We had 4D scan with DD and it was absolutely AMAZING - one of the best things ever. Will def be having one again - it was a fantastic bonding thing for DH as well. Having said that, I did a very detailed personal journal with DD and had one of those lovely little Smythson baby notes book and recorded everything. This time round, haven't done anything like that. My younger sis is a little bit chippy that my baby book is full of detail and hers just sort of peters out, so will try and make an effort. It's not that it's not as exciting as having the first one, but there isn't the utter novelty of the experience, or the energy, or the time!

Catch up with you all next week after my course. Have a lovely afternoon despite appalling weather!

Being a DD2 myself I have every INTENTION of putting another baby book together... but I'm not sure it'll happen. I haven't properly finished DSs book! And he's 3 soon...

Hi ladies,

DD - I know the feeling, DH has been working until 9-10pm every night and is exhausting doing dinner/bath/bed alone. Fortunately with us all having the cold there have been no baths to deal with but an extra hour of entertaining them instead - friend on post-natal calls it the 'arsenic hour' which i love - so true!!

DS1's baby book also not yet complete and never got round to doing much with DS2. DS1 even had his own website which i updated daily and had a fantastic guestbook - is a great idea if family/friends live any distance away. Oh and a keepsake box (old shoe box decorated) i managed to upkeep.

Finally had booking appt today and DS1's 2 year check. Next m/w appt in 4 weeks, 20 week scan in 8 weeks and somewhere inbetween consultant for c-sec chat etc..

If anyone is updating the list please could you make my EDD 10 August with a c-sec to be announced date - will be a few days before i think with our hospital. Thank you.

So pleased to hear all went well Lcy.

Just been out for a formal work lunch thing and ordered 'Field Mushrooms stuffed with roasted peppers and pesto'. Sounded yum. Arrived covered in two enormous rounds of goats' cheese. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry as I ADORE goats' cheese and find it the hardest thing of all not to have. I even had to check the menu as I worried my brain had tricked me into ordering it by not seeing the goats' cheese bit. Anyway, it wasn't on there, leaving me with a dilemma....

I didn't want to make a fuss and send it back (and have to explain why to work people) so I scraped some off and enjoyed the rest. SO enjoyed it. Just hope I didn't do the wrong thing....

Psssst Poppysocks, I had some pate at christmas and a brie melt the other day (I figured if it was cooked it might not count). Don't tell anyone...

Sitting here listening to DDs video of Barbie Island Princess in French and it's making me all teary. Don't understand a word of French but have seen the video so many times I know what's going on....in French it just makes me want to cry even harder.

ChaCha and Lcy's news is definately a boost...although seem to want to cry out of joy for you both.

Carpenter here to finish out my little project. He's by himself and TAKING FOREVER!! Of the three guys that have worked on this project, this one's the black cloud...he just puts off a negative energy. Also feel like he's not as well trained. All that's left is hanging doors...a task I can do myself when not in this condition...so I guess you don't need to have loads of training. [mini-rant over]

Now i'm panicking cos i haven't got any growth in the tummy region. have deffo lost weight with the sickness though.

I know rationally all is ok cos i had scan at 12+1 and saw perfect sized baby, but why am i not growing??? Didn't with dd though til a bit later, and she came out a whopper (9lb9). Also, although I'm a second timer, i figure that as it's almost 5 years since i had dd, my body is prob not as ripe for immediate stretching as those with small gaps?? or am i deluding myself??

got tummy ache today. Think it is a lot of wind, but of course i'm paranoid.

scan 2 weeks tomorrow (i'll be 14+5)... will be an age til that won't it??

Dh and i di go to cinema in the end last night. Saw PS I love you, which i sobbed my way through. It is sad, but i think it was my hormones cos i cried this morning when i heard on the radio that Britney has been taken into hospital again. lol at the things i cry about.

Well scan went well, baby is well and kicking and flipping about all over the place - he/she was waving his/her hands above her head as if to say Cooeeee I'm over here !

Very pleased, although my dates were slightly out which I expected. Instead of the 13+6 I thought I was I am actually 12+3 so ...... what's my new due date, she didn't tell me that either ?
DH & I worked it out as 11th, bearing in mind I seem to be 10 days out and thought I was due on 1st

Um Poppysocks, you know you can have goats cheese and brie as long as they're pasteurised? Pretty much only posh delicatessens sell unpasteurised dairy products so most supermarket stuff is fine. You just have to get the waiter to ask the chef in a restaurant.

Just a quickie because I haven't been on for ages, just getting over a viral infection which has been hell on earth, morning sickness x 10 plus migraines plus every ailment known to man I swear! Had my 12 week scan today, new due date of 8th August (will update in a min) and was 12 + 6, not 13 + 1. Baby was bouncing like mad, but DH missed it because he couldn't get the car parked Just got to get my bloods done in the next week and that's it until the 20 week scan. Gonna love you and leave you now before I push my luck with being at PC (sickness wise) Take care xxxxx

Well I had a moment and decided to research our TBA's at the end of the list. Lewisham, I've updated you to 18Aug based on your scan info back on 20Dec. Kaz33 announced she lost her baby back on 09Dec. We've not heard from Feb since she jumped over from the July Due thread on 10Dec. And lastly DancerPrancer I think is awaiting a due date scan??
