Joining in the happy-scan-news-congrats! Yay! Has anyone put their piccies up on their MS profile yet? It would well nice to see them.

Bea0001InowwishIhadabettername · 25/01/2008 14:29

Just mentioned to DH that Twighlight has had enough energy to start dancing today and that a while ago someone else - sorry, in my extreme envy I've blocked your name - had energy to actually have SEX. He's sooo jelouse; thanks to my good ol' relentless MS we've not even christened in the now not-so-new New Year!

TwilightSurfer · 25/01/2008 15:07

Oh BEA. Hang in there. At least your DH has the prospect of christening something....I'm sticking to a HANDS OFF policy until after the arrival. Tell your DH that and I'm sure his jealousy will F A D E.

libbyssister · 25/01/2008 15:57

So glad someone else is not feeling the urge . I've been so knackered that I don't think we've christened the NY either, but I can't remember! When does that surge kick in? Cos apparently we pregnant women can't get enough of it... 2nd trimester AT LEAST, surely....

libbyssister · 25/01/2008 15:59

So jealous of all your scans btw. Fab news Sarah that all is well. Still got 23 days and counting until mine

sarahnh · 25/01/2008 16:00

i think that as soon as you hit 2nd trimester you should want to be at it like rabbits!! I happened to me in my first pregnancy and my dh is praying that it happens again!!!

I am really not sure this time around but i reckon my tiredness and yukkyness (sp) is starting to lift!!!

Bea0001InowwishIhadabettername · 25/01/2008 16:58

I'm loving the idea of going from famine to feast - can't wait to tell DH the encouraging news when he comes home ... 9wks 5 days and counting.

CaptainCaveman · 25/01/2008 17:07

Good evening lovely ladies. Well my house is unrecognisable. It is so clean it virtually sparkles!!!! Most unlike me.

Am exhausted now though, just want to go to sleep (nothing new there eh?!)
Still, house now on the market and should be adverts/board etc up next week .

Last assignment now handed in, house clean, laundry done, no mess anywhere. OH.MY.GOD. I can have a lovely lazy evening as dh going to the pub. Bliss.

dizzydixies · 25/01/2008 17:19

thank you all for lovely best wishes
told family last night but not work yet as contracting problems still looming - am not going to get away for it much longer although am beginning to realise I was a lot more overweight than I thought I was seeing aa they haven't noticed before now!

alittlebitshy - calpol was very DEFINATELY upped last night and I think it helped, we still had a terrible night sleep but marginally better than it had been, if that makes any sense?!? she's still miserable but hopefully on the mend

giggle - agree entirely with TS - our water is FULL of satan too!! I cannot believe what our two are like at the moment but then maybe its me being overtired and not very tolerant?!?

just realised have missed a whole page of posts so will no doubt have something else to add once I've read them!!

dizzydixies · 25/01/2008 17:25

CC, well done on house and assignment but you won't mind if I don't like you very much for a few moments as I KNOW am about to embark on the battle of the dinner/bath/bottle/medicine/bed and no doubt the evening worth of listening to the plight of man flu

therefore am full of at what sounds like a blissful evening at yours!!!

I hope someone turns up at your door and offers you a ridiclious amount of money for your pad so you can phone Kirsty and Phil to get you a perfect home for you all!

come on the euro millions tonight!!

ok CC, am over it now!

Buckets · 25/01/2008 17:37

Loving that phrase 'Satan in the water' . Am counting my blessings today funnily enough - was sat in bed reading this afternoon and the sunshine was pouring through on me and I thought about the bump as a person for the 1st time, and about having 3 kids soon and felt really good about everything. Puked not long after LOL.
My 2 get on sickeningly well at the moment, just DD gets scratchy when tired and DS's social issues make him hard to take out places occasionally. I have NOTHING to complain about, please swipe me round the head next time I do!!!

dizzydixies · 25/01/2008 17:45

evening buckets, am glad you've had a good day. I only really let myself come to terms with this pregnancy being real after scan yesterday and this afternoon at dd1s gym class thing I suddenly thought sodding hell, how on EARTH am I going to cope with 3 when I look like a permanent bag of crap with just two and we live our lives in a state of perpetual chaos. I then thought, hey ho, now is not the time to panic! we'll just batter on through with our usual bull in china shop diplomacy and grace lol

HazieAndBaby · 25/01/2008 21:42

Hi guys, haven't posted for a while, been lurking around and catching up with all the posts tho! And there are heaps you chatterboxes! I'm 11wks today and still can't believe I'm pregnant, just holding my breath for the magic 12wks next Friday! I finally got my scan date today and it's for the 4th Feb so I totally can't wait! Glad everyone's scans went well, hope it rubs off on me and everyone else due their scans!
littlebitshy - I know what you mean about having had a scan before but still being worried, I had an early scan because of bleeding, everything turned out to be fine, but still really nervous about the next one tho x

mum2go · 25/01/2008 22:36

sarahnh · 26/01/2008 11:06

any news on scan Shazza? Been thinking of you xxxx

Shazza2002 · 26/01/2008 15:35

Afternoon all.

Sorry I've only just logged on, been at my parents house and they don't have the internet

Well had scan yesterday and very glad to say all is ok. Saw a baby with strong heartbeat, 2 arms, 2 legs and all in the right place. I thought I was 12+2 today but according to scan I'm 13 weeks today. So new due date is 2nd August.

Thank you sarahn for thinking of me. Really feel like I can start to get excited now

RachAndFamousNot · 26/01/2008 15:51

Hi everyone, glad that things seem to be going well for most people, and really sorry for those who have left. I too have been lurking a bit, trying not to get too excited until 13 weeks (12+1 today) because of MCs in the past. I did have a scan at 10+2 which was all fine, been being sick every evening which is reassuring because it's much worse than previous times. But I am a bit worried today, have taken it so easy since BFP (dh has done all housework, shopping, washing, ironing - everything for weeks now) and yesterday I did about half an hour of clearing up some rubbish (v light paper, but bending and stretching) at work and have had pain since then. It's not crampy as before, and no bleeding, but still worrying. Do you think I am being silly as had scan and all OK? Have another on Tuesday so will find out but what do you all think? Thank you if you've read this ramble and double thanks if you give me adivice!!

dizzydixies · 26/01/2008 17:31

great news on your scan Shazza its nice to find you're a bit further on than you thought itsn't it!?!

RachandFamousNot well done for getting this far and good for you for taking it easy, I knows its not easy. The worry after a MC doesn't stop just because you reach thre 12wk mark but its a wonderful sign that you have. Please PLEASE PLEASE don't take this the wrong way but do you maybe think the aches and pains are because (by your own admission!) you haven't done anything for a wee while and its just been a bit of a shock to the system when you finally have?!? Lovely long relaxing bath and rub some indulgent lotions into the aches and pains and back to doing absolutely nothing again double quick!!

sending heaps of sticky baby dust as well!

RachAndFamousNot · 26/01/2008 17:42

Well I did maybe think that too . Phew! It's got really warm in here! Hope you're right, but I am going to have to do something soon or dh will collapse into the bags under his eyes (from not sleeping 'cause of my terrible snoring).

Thanks for responding dizzy and of course not taken the wrong way!

CaptainCaveman · 26/01/2008 17:43

dizzy rest assured my house is never that clean, or that organised. I totally amazed myself there. Just got to keep on top of it now (how? how on earth do i do that!?)

Hope you have all had pleasant saturdays? Congrats to those reaching the 12 week mark - yay! And Reeeellllaaaxxxx.

Played hockey this morning - we won! And i scored!! Been swimming with ds this afternoon so I'm now properly knackered. Had the offer of going out with friends tonight but I'm being a party pooper. Just want to go to bed early!!

OP posts:
Buckets · 26/01/2008 18:31

Ooh Shazza licky you, 5 days off !
Have been sick more today, had to pull over the car and puke up a lemsip, later on retched in a carpark and the library. Got to have a long nap this avo though and had (pre-arranged) craving for tea - grilled chicken breast, avocado and cheese baguette, mmmm.
Only just found out Heath Ledger has died, feeling a bit sad about that .

dizzydixies · 26/01/2008 18:32

my god CC I haven't managed to do half as much as you today and will be in bed by 9am again tonight!! Moving out into the neighbours is the only way I can think to keep the house immaculate. We didn't win the euro lottery so can't sponsor Kirsty and Phil for you so you'll just need to go on Location Location Location!

We were in bed by 9.20 last night, nothing kinky just shattered , and of course had another horrific night with dd2. she's regained her appetite today though so hopefully a full stomach and some GP recommended drugging might improve this evenings chances of sleep slightly!

in my defence re excercise, I have tackled the forest that was my legs this morning in the shower in the vain hope I can go swimming on Monday

TJuice · 26/01/2008 18:33

hi ladies

sorry to gatecrash, but i am from the brilliantly supportive "Due in July" thread and wondered if any first-timers here would like to also like to chat a bit about the naive thrills of doing this all for the very first time on . . . www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2290/465075.

cheers!
