evening all

had scan this afternoon and everything seems fine, due date now 30th july so will change myself on the list AGAIN and take myself off the bottom, don't really relish idea of month long birthing session!!

there is still an area of 'membrane seperation' but apparently its in a 'good' location whatever that means!!

had a shitty day at work and dd2 now terrorising the world so no longer allowed back into hosp to give birth without promising that she'll not be attending at any point, nothing like trying to have a conversation with midwife whilst 20month old screaming like she's being branded! Finally took her to dr this afternoon who told me to 'up her calpol' What a wonderful thing our medical training must be to give out that golden nugget of advice.

Needless to say she's screaming the place down again, I'm shattered from no sleep again last night/early shift and the world's longest booking in appt - took over 2hrs, so am off to drug her with everything possible and then go to bed myself!!

Glad other scans went well, will check back later if not asleep to see if Sarah has been on

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You have a 62% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 37% chance of having a girl.

And the reasons were actually quite relevant, all the ones I could answer 100% honestly i.e without guessing point towards a boy.

I'm so glad we are finding out this time

dizzydixies · 24/01/2008 18:44

72% girl, dh will be delighted, another one to gang up on him, even our dog is female lol

sarahnh · 24/01/2008 19:07

Evening Ladies,

First and for most i want to really thank you all for your kind words and support, i really don't know what i would have done without you guys!

I am so so happy to say that little bean is fine, waving at me on the screen this afternoon, i was in floods of tears. I am officially 11+3 with due date of 11th August.

Apparently they reckon all my bad pains are due to over exercise!!! I have been told i am doing way too much ( and i really haven't been doing much at all) so i have to chill out and relax!!

Thanks again for you great support, you guys are the best xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

dizzydixies · 24/01/2008 19:07

I KNEW KNEW KNEW excercise was the work of the devil!

well done Satahnh - delighted to hear your news
xxx

FoghornLeghorn · 24/01/2008 19:11

Wahoooo Great news !!!

warthog · 24/01/2008 19:13

those quizzes... all said i was having a boy. i had a girl. load of crock imho!

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2008 19:31

YEAH SARAHNH!!!!!! I love the baby in the belly wave. Makes me think they can see us looking at them.

Warthog....old wives tales only work in the present . What's it say you might be carrying right now?? It's worth noting for the record.

warthog · 24/01/2008 19:40

ah but i did when i was pg! didn't do it in retrospect.

snort - ok they seem to think it's a BOY

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2008 19:44

Great. So that's two boys and two girls from the predictors this evening. Two of us have the same gender we already have and two of us having a different gender. Oddly the ones having a different gender have two of the other gender already. This should be interesting....in 30 weeks (or 10 if you have the look-and-see scan).

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2008 19:47

oops i think i gave you an extra child in that could warthog. sorry. do you need an extra??

warthog · 24/01/2008 19:47

twilight - i have one dd, and predicted ds on the way.

warthog · 24/01/2008 19:48

oops x-posted!

no, you can keep extra if you like

Shazza2002 · 24/01/2008 20:11

Well done Sarahn, you must be really relieved.

Quiz says 64% Boy / 36% Girl. So we shall see

I'm gonna try and get a good nights sleep ready for tomorrow.

alittlebitshy · 24/01/2008 20:17

sarahnh - so relived. I have done that sobbing twice now at scans. They must be used to it
dizzydixies glad scan went well, but uh oh about your dd2 So have you upped her calpol dose? what is actually wrong, or was gp hedging bets?

Shazza2002 · 24/01/2008 20:18

Glad your scan went well too dizzydixes, at least you may feel like you can relax a bit now

CaptainCaveman · 24/01/2008 21:01

Great news for your scans too dizzy and sarah - really happy for you both, and for your beans of course

Will try and post scan pic tomorrow but that is heavily reliant on getting the house clean and tidy before the estate agent comes to take piccies...and ds is having his pre-school booster in the morning.

I'm going to find a link to a chinese gender prediction thing...hang on a minute...

just want to say hi. Very tired today DS2 has been reincarnated as satan and working like mad. still feeling really icky and washed out but managing to keep my bland food down - won't even start about what I look like! Back to dr for review tmw. Glad scans seem to be going well and hope everyone feels better soon.

sarahnh · 25/01/2008 08:27

good luck to all who have scans today!!! my predictor says boy which is what we think but chinese predictor says girl! and there is definitely only one bean!!! xxx

Buckets · 25/01/2008 12:33

Finally got booking in appt, MW is actually coming here on Sunday! She will now let the ultrasound folks now I want a dating scan & Downs blood test (they have to ask verbally apparently so people can't say they were bulldozed into it). So I assume they will call me next week to arrange something before I'm 14wks.
Ventured out to further away toddler group for the first time this year (rain and fatigue have put me off so far) so am planning to nap once DS goes down for his.

TwilightSurfer · 25/01/2008 13:12

Hello ladies. How's the morning sickness for everyone? I'm still taking it slow getting out of bed with a crackers and gatoraid snack before putting my feet on the floor. So far so good. I think my fatigue is starting to let up too. Last night I was WIRED and ready to party. DD and I danced all around to really loud music just for fun. It felt great!! Haven't wanted to do that in a long while. May even venture out to take DD swimming.

Giggle I believe there's a little satan in the water these days as RL friend complained of the same problem yesterday. I'm keeping DD away from any water sources .

Here's to more dancing and loads of laundry today.

ChaCha · 25/01/2008 13:13

Sarah - pleased to read the very good scan news

poppysocks · 25/01/2008 14:22

Sarah - I'm SO pleased to hear all is well. Now you have the perfect excuse for no exercise.

The first gender predictor thing said 50/50 for me, so no clue there! The chinese one said girl, but like CC, it got it wrong for DD retrospectively. Will have to wait and see!

Have told a couple of people this week, including my boss as was feeling a bit more confident this week. However, now starting to worry a bit again as I feel like I have some life in me again. Reassured to see it's not just me though, TS. Boobs still sore and intermittant ms feeling so clinging to that and hoping. 10 days now until the scan. Can't come too soon!
