so, scan went well and we are only having the one (phew!). Saw the heart beat and tiny bean is just 2cm crown to rump!!
8w 4d, gives me a revised due date of aug 16th. Yay, am so happy!!

Sorry you're leaving us Alberta.

I've no thoughts about this kiddo's gender, having been totally wrong both previous times. Would quite like another girl as we have so many boy cousins and DD is so girly. I have visions of them all chasing her round the garden with spiders and other fiendish things boys think is hilarious when in a gang.

Help me - I'm drowning in literature!!! However, I have managed to write 1000 words of pure crap, so only 3000 more to go (or if I'm being minimalist, only 2600 more!!)

And I think we may be having a boy - given that the sperm decides our fate, and that in dh's family there has been 1 girl born in the last 100 years, odds are it's a boy.
I really don't mind either way though - happy to have a healthy baby regardless of pink or blueness

ChaCha I just think if I were carrying a boy he'd not make me feel so bad. Logically speaking that's crazy but I am pregnant and crazy is the norm.

Shazza I like the "only one flavor" remark. LOL

It is all the guy so......DH takes after his maternal grandfather who had 2 girls. DH's brother had 2 girls with 2 different women before having a boy. However, DH is the middle child of 3 boys. And his father is one of 4 boys and 1 girl. Suppose it could go either way. Gut says girl though.

CaptainCaveman - its in psychology - i am feeling totally overwhelmed by it at the moment especially as i am working as well. I would prefer to stay at home and look at baby things i can't afford on the net - i am feeling the urge to nest already . D

oh - we decided not to tell dd just yet. With the uncertainty (even though had scan etc etc) I feel wrong telling her. I feel a bit guilty cos I wanted to give her answers to why I've been so rough lately (had yet another piccie made at school saying i love you mum, she said it is cos i'm porly ). But to tell her when I've only just had some bleeding is not fair.......to her or me.
Not decided when we'll tell her. Dh goes away on retrat for 2 weeks when I'm 14 weeks, so we'll need to see how i've been up til then. Otherwise it'll be 16 weeks when he's back....

Brown is good! If you have had any bleeding then as it is clearing up it turns to brown (old blood). In my eperience the brown blood can stay around for a bit (like a discharge). So glad you saw a heartbeat - at 12 weeks with a heartbeat the odds of miscarrying are tiny!

See, rationally i know that LCY, but with the power of MN sometimes I feel i know too much and know of too many ladies who have had m/c later....
I think i'd feel better if I knew where blood was from, but no answers there.
