Alittlebitshy (((hugs))).

LCY welcome. Glad you've added your name to the list finally.

I've had some low belly aches this weekend too. At one point it felt like someone was poking me with a needle ... like they were sewing (single stitch) from hip bone to hip bone. Very odd. Heartburn is still troubling me. And I am very very very very very tired. My head aches. Oh and I feel like I WANT to puke but can't. Just finish reading a pregnancy mag which explained swimming or walking (any low key exercise) can help all those symptoms. WHAT A CROCK!! I don't have enough energy to put a load of clothes in the washing machine...how am I suppose to swim a lap!!!

FoghornLeghorn · 21/01/2008 07:33

Welcome LCY

Alittlebitshy - thinking of you today and fingers crossed your scan goes well

I feel horrendous - I have had a cold for a week now and although it's not as bad as the flu I feel all achey and light headed too. DD1 has decided she doesn't want to sleep so I was up at 4.30 saturday morning, 5.55 sunday morning and 5.30 this morning - I have got up all over the weekend as Sunday is usually my lie in day but DH was sick through the night and didn't have the heart to wake him so I now I feel like a total sack of shit ! I don't think I'm going to be able to function properly today.
I feel like crying I'm so tired and ill

Buckets · 21/01/2008 09:52

Fingers crossed for you Alittlebitshy.
Fogleg, hot ribena and honey for you! Are you taking paracetamol to help your cold?

sarahnh · 21/01/2008 10:42

hey everyone,

Just a quick question, i have my scan on thursday and am incredibly nervous. Already have a 1 dd and i was so excited going for scans when pregnant with her, but i am dreading this scan.. does anyone else feel this way?

MillieMooMoo · 21/01/2008 10:52

Hi Sarah! I feel exactlyy like you are!

I too have one dd (26 mnth) and a scan coming soon. I feel sooo nervous this time.
However, I feel I was quite naive with my first, just got caught up in the "newness" and excitement. this time round, you know what to expect so it is easier to take in all the scare stories of missed miscarriages (which i what I've done) and keep thinking that just because all was okay with first doesnt mean all will be okay with first.

It doesnt hekp that my symptoms seem to have vanished

Have tried to change my way of thinking but I cant. Just trying to keep my mind off it and keep myself busy. Its my scan 2 weeks today which is also my Dads birthday which I do think adds a bit of pressure to hope all is okay!

When is your scan? Sending you lots of "worry free and good luck" vibes

CaptainCaveman · 21/01/2008 10:59

TS maybe the same due date is giving us the same symptoms!! Also having mad heartburn, like yourself.

sarahnh I've got my scan thursday too, and i'm v nervous despite having paid for a private scan 2 weeks ago! I'm praying that the week passes uneventfully and quickly for us both! What time is your scan? Mine is 11am, or is it 11.30??!

In the meantime I have to write my final assignment of my postgrad diploma this week. I've done all the prep, so just need to get it down. 4000 words to do by Thursday....wish me luck!!

sarahnh · 21/01/2008 11:11

my scan is at 2.40pm, hopefully there will be a little person and they can finally give me a due date!!! All my symptoms have disappeared as well, although i am still eating for britain!! I wish it was just over and done with! how bad does that sound

Lcy · 21/01/2008 11:24

Hello everyone and thanks for the welcome

Alittlebitshy - i hope you are ok

Foghorn - thanks for the welcome. i had a cold last week and felt dreadful. It just increases all the pregnancy symptoms as well - hope you get some rest.

Hello TS - yes i finally had the courage to join

Sarahnh - i am petrified before scans, and my symptoms have been coming and going over the last few weeks too.

CaptainCaveman - i am also sitting here trying to write. I have a bloody Phd to finish before the baby arrives - so obviously i typing a mumsnet post instead

Shazza2002 · 21/01/2008 12:28

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish foghorn, DP had man flu at the weekend and drove me mad. I told him he should try the 1st 3 months of pregnancy and see how bad that is!!

sarahn I am exactly the same way, and agree entirely with milliemoomoo. I was also very niave with the 1st, all I was concerned about was what pram I wanted, not that something might go wrong. Now this time I think I know too much

Good luck for the scan. Mine is on Friday and I also can't wait to get it over with. My only symptoms are sore boobs and increasing weight. Tiredness, insomnia and nausea have started to pass thankfully

FoghornLeghorn · 21/01/2008 13:15

Thanks for the sympathy guys
DD1 now at pre-school and am trying desperately to get DD2 to sleep but she is just screaming in her cot but she is absolutely exhausted, a bit like me

Does anyone know what time Alittlebitshy's scan is today ?

TwilightSurfer · 21/01/2008 13:39

Captain sorry to pass the heartburn across the pond. Its strength is beyond control. It's a holiday here today so will wait till tomorrow to call nurse again for stronger meds.

Foghorn I don't have a cold but I've had a couple of dizzy episodes myself. The lightheadedness didn't happen with DD's pregnancy until about 22 weeks. It passed but found it scary.

Anybody starting to guess what they think they're carrying? For the record, I think I'm having a girl and she's obviously going to be born with a head full of hair.

Shazza2002 · 21/01/2008 14:19

I also think I'm having a girl, but think that's because I already have one

FoghornLeghorn · 21/01/2008 14:21

I think I am having another girl which I am more than happy with but because this is definitely our last I'm glad we are finding out the sex, if it is a girl we'll just have to get used to not having our 'son'.

ChaCha · 21/01/2008 14:21

No signs of Littlebitshy yet - hopefully she has had/is having her scan and all is well. Fingers crossed.

Twilight - I have been convinced it's another boy since the very early days of PG - I am 100% sure!! Any reason as to why you think yours is a girl?

Good luck those of you with PhD/diploma work - don't know how you do it, can barely get through the day to days.

Manflu LOL, yes indeed, try pregnancy for a day!

Must lie down again wiht the boys sleep, talk soon and good luck for tomorrow scans if i dont get back on xxx

Lcy · 21/01/2008 14:27

Just went upstairs to find a book, bed looked tempting, lay down - 2 hours later woke up. When will this tiredness pass?

I think i am having a boy - dont know why?

Midwife just phoned and i have my booking in appointment this week - she comes to my home and is so lovely and really supported me when i miscarried - I am really looking forward to seeing her.

Shazza2002 · 21/01/2008 14:36

That's nice Lcy, that you will be dealing with the same person. At least she know's what you've been through so will understand a bit more.

What's interesting is all those on our 2nd and 3rd PG are all convinced we're having the same as we've already got. So do you think that's cause we think our bodies are only capable of making one flavour?

alittlebitshy · 21/01/2008 14:52

Hello everyone,
well, i barely slept last night......

We were convinced it was over. I was sure I had cramping as well as the bleeding (which admittedly had slowed down).

Got to Fetal Medicine Centre, where nuchal scan was booked. said i didn't want the blood test unless i knew i had viable pg (well, i sobbed, dh translated).

waited ages, saw mums with bumps and mums with scan pics. wanted to throttle the lot of them.

then went in for scan and within second saw a HEARTBEAT and a perfectly ok 12+1 baby.

no idea on the bleed(s). Dr man type person said it is most likely the placenta attaching or a blood vessel bursting as i expand.....
Still worried, but for now .

And baby would not perforom for the bit where dr needed to see neck. sent us away for lunch.(and the bloods i'd refused earlier) then was about to send us away again to drink something sweet and have a walk when baby leapt over and obliged. phew.

Thanks for all the finger crossing etc.

Shazza2002 · 21/01/2008 15:00

Ah what fantastic news alittlebitshy. Really cheered my day up. Congratualtions

miamla · 21/01/2008 15:04

littlebitshy...that's fantastic news! congratulations! I'm so pleased for you

I (and everybody else i've spoken to!) seems to think i'm having a boy. Apparently they can't imagine me having a girl. I guess we shall see! to all those that have boys already...did you have a complete lack of MS? or is this just an old wives' tale?

alittlebitshy · 21/01/2008 15:04

aw don't, i'll cry (as i almost did on the tube going in to the scan this morn)

Lcy · 21/01/2008 15:13

Fantastic news Alittlebitshy

FoghornLeghorn · 21/01/2008 15:53

The best possible news Alittlebitshy

Alittlebitshy, I have been thinking about you all day, fantastic amazing news. So so so happy for you.
