so, scan went well and we are only having the one (phew!). Saw the heart beat and tiny bean is just 2cm crown to rump!!
8w 4d, gives me a revised due date of aug 16th. Yay, am so happy!!

Well, re my saga about not being referred....
I had an app for dd at the gp, so asked again if she had referred me. she assured me yes (bear in mind i saw her mid december and she said she would do it that day).
I caled the antenatal unit at the hospital as soon as i'd taken dd to school and they had not received anything.
Went back up gps, and recpetionist managed, finally, to get copy of letter sent, saying as she handed it over "it went a couple of days ago". When i looked at letter, it was dated... TODAY!!! wtf?

Anyhow, manged to book booking in app even without the referrral (I'll be almost 16 weeks by then, grr), but imagine if i had just sat back assuming i would hear eventually. I'm not a foreceful person as a rule, but I am sure there are less foreceful people even than me.......

Rant over.

Still terrified i'm about to start bleeding. Constantly feeling damp but that seems to be due to scary dsicharge lol.

Got nuchal scan at FMC MOnday I'm excited to see baby again, and also to see this wonderful place i hear so much about on here (FMC)

Alittlebitshy - Oh God, the discharge! I was in awe at the consistency of mine this afternoon!
Warthog - contact your local CIS office for a list of all the providers near you. If your DD is under 3, you'll have to pay anyway so you might want to see if a nearby childminder has space (they're very pro-active on the education front these days thanks to OFSTED.)

Alittlebitshy...our little bit of snow is definitely nothing to be envious of. Although DD LOVED playing in it and catching flakes on her tonge (brainfreeze on the spelling of that word).

Oh, I signed up for prenatal yoga classes yesterday. They start 17FEB so I'll be just into second trimester. I'm so excited. I desperately need something to make me move about and feel more limber.

this play school only does mornings and it's a montessori. i am really keen on that, and there is another close by but their ofsted report isn't nearly as good. otherwise it'll be a drive.

so no tips on speeding things up..?

hi girls, hope you're all feeling ok tonight. So much for bed rest, the girls tag teamed me last night and with dh away at grans funeral, I had dd1 in with me and dd2 wide awake at 3am determined it was time to get up - touch of medised in a bottle am ashamed to say as was too tired to try any other tricks

went to bed for nap this afternoon and coujld have stayed there ALL day and slept through to tonight!!! both just been put down so won't be far behind them I think!

still bleeding but just holding out for nothing more than I've had. Only a week to go to scan - same day as you CC!

sorry I forgot, Ilanak thanks for tip on matty clothes and to the rest of you who are stuck travelling on the tube with all those rude ignorant people, may I suggest actually throwing up on them, they'll soon move!!

Hi mum2go - for some reason I read that as "anyone from the Mid West?" . I used to live in Stafford (parents still there) but am now in East Mids (Nottingham). Whereabouts are you?

Forced myself out of the house to go hockey training in the rain and I have to say i do feel better for the exercise! So, now i can eat cake without feeling bad about it!!

Caught up with you all earlier when having time out from DC but i can't remember all the news now

Do remember reading unfortunate tube travel - can't believe no one gave up a seat - how inhumane is that?!? And i'm like you too, i always give up my seat for the elderly or PG, i wouldn't think twice tsk..tsk, and to think i found the tube such an adventure in my youth - those were the days.

Sick as usual here and going to be every night like a lifeless ragdoll - pregnancy and two toddlers is bloody hard work...ahhh!!!

I feel very pleased to have got to this stage, I had a brief scan over Xmas and saw a baby and a heartbeat - looking forward to my 12 week scan in 2 weeks so I can have a proper look and see arms & legs etc

ooh FoghornLeghorn, if you're twelve weeks i must be twelve weeks too! blimey, it feels more like twelve months since my BFP!

i'm out of my period of denial and trying my best to accept that i am indeed pregnant. wore my "baby on board" badge on the train this morning. it felt very strange to proclaim my news to the world! The trains seemed to be empty so i didn't get a chance to test its powers for getting a seat but I'll report back later after my journey home.

I've also finally accepted that i really can't fit in my jeans anymore so today i'm at work in my tracksuit bottoms. they're far too scruffy to wear here but you know what...i'm soooo comfy!!

hope everyone stays as dry as possible from the rain and that all this scary bleeding stops immediately

Well done foghorn, it must feel great. It's such a big milestone in pregnancy, the first 12 weeks just drag but when you get there a bit of the worry goes away.

I am 12 weeks next Thursday and have my scan on Friday, so can't wait to tell everybody. I know people just think I've eaten too much over christmas, I want to tell them I have a real excuse
