Thought I’d start this as a follow up from the ‘TTC NOVEMBER 2021’ thread for everyone who got their BFPs! ☺️

Sorry, that was meant to be a reply to a user... I'm new here! I tried to delete it and can't. Oh well, my first message is the main one I wanted to post in here.

And like I said.... anyone's views on what the mild cramps mean on/around the day you'd usually get your period.

I'd love any feedback :)

Thanks ladies! Sorry for being a newbie who doesn't know how to use the site haha!

HA22 · 10/12/2021 15:53

@TianaC Hi and welcome!! congratulations that's definitely a line. let's hope it does progress and gets darker! i've had constipation too in the last few weeks (i'm currently 6+1 today) very sore and sensitive boobs and nipples! i've been getting quite a bit of cramps and pulling around my uterus area and i think that's normal. it's the area stretching and preparing itself i assume. wishing you all the best for this pregnancy. it's very easy to get over alarmed and worry about every symptom but just have faith and understand that worrying won't change what will happen. relax and enjoy your pregnancy as much as you can!!

HA22 · 10/12/2021 15:54

sorry @TianaC got confused between your post and @Leilei95 with the pregnancy strip, can i blame baby brain ahahaha

mrsmw132 · 10/12/2021 18:03

So this is my first pregnancy. My little sister is currently 20 weeks with baby 2 (not showing at all pregnancy unicorn 🦄)
She sent me a list of things she felt were essential and not a waste of money.

Things to defo get -
Soft bras/maternity bras
Maternity pants
Maternity pjs 👍🏻
Maternity tights
Maternity joggers (god send in the evenings)
Mat jeans/leggings

Did a wee order last night to get me started when I need them.
Love the sound of maternity PJs.
For those that are on baby 1, what do you think are on your list?

Hey guys, me again! I did a test later in the day and he came back negative, is that normal, I wanted to confirm from first one. Will wait in morning now, but just worried and having CP anxiety xxx

TianaC · 10/12/2021 21:00

@Leilei95 Hey hun, I only tested at 19dpo, so not sure. If it was pretty faint that time you did one earlier today, it could just be that the levels aren't high enough yet. Maybe do a test in a few days? Thinking of you and sending you lots of positive vibes ♥️

Caslo · 10/12/2021 23:18

Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know). The test that you uploaded was super faint so testing again later on in the day won’t necessarily give the same results because HCG can be so affected by how diluted your urine is. If you find you get stronger lines in the afternoons (I know I do) then perhaps wait 48 hours after you took the original test to make a better assessment. I’m sure that HCG takes 48-72 hours to double so that should be enough time to give you an accurate result. Try not to worry sweet, I know that I’ve been paranoid when comparing my tests from day to day but I’ve stopped that now and am just trying to enjoy it all. Let us know how you get on x

Leilei95 · 10/12/2021 23:42

@Caslo @TianaC thank you both! Yeah I’m going to just and relax and let this week go, and not think about it too much and symptom spot, as it will just make me more anxious… hope you are both doing well xxx

MeatyRvita · 11/12/2021 20:42

How’s everyone feeling today?
I felt a tiny bit nauseous this morning (5 weeks +2 today) but I don’t know if I’m just so desperate to feel symptoms for reassurance that everything is progressing! I do have acne come from nowhere and I’m so tired in the afternoons.
I’m just so worried, I’ve been debating wether to get a reassurance scan (from 7 weeks) but we can’t really afford it and that wouldn’t be for another few weeks anyway so I’ll probably just be waiting for the nhs scan at 12 weeks.
Are any of you getting private reassurance scans?

I can self-refer to my local midwife service from next week so I’m looking forward to doing that! Trying to stay positive and optimistic!

Firsttimetrier · 11/12/2021 21:04

@MeatyRvita we’ve booked ours for just under 8 weeks as this is my first pregnancy and I just want to make sure everything is where it’s meant to be etc.

We booked with Window to the Womb and it was £49, so slightly cheaper than others.

SantiagoSister · 11/12/2021 21:05

Evening @MeatyRvita, I know exactly what you mean about the complete lack of symptoms and therefore lack of reassurance too. I’m the same, no symptoms at all and wondering whether everything is ok in there or not. I wasn’t planning on having an early scan, but it turns out I need one due to my previous loss, so the midwives want to book me in for between 8-10 weeks, just waiting for the appointment. I know what you mean, by the time you’ve waited another few weeks for a reassurance scan if you did book one, it will only be a few more weeks until our 12 scans, so you may as well wait.

I’ve had the worst cramps today, like completely-stopping-me-in-my-tracks bad. I’ve had to stop what I’ve been doing a couple of times today to just breathe through them. If I sit down too quickly it feels like I’ve sat on a knife! God knows what they mean, I hope it’s normal and not anything to worry about 🤞🏼

Caslo · 11/12/2021 21:05

@MeatyRvita I’m the same, though I definitely feel a bit ‘off’ I can’t brand it genuine nausea just yet. I kind of don’t expect it to get any worse since I didn’t have any with my first two pregnancies. I’m currently 4+5 today and am planning on getting a scan when I’m 7 weeks between Christmas and NY. I started spotting at 6+3 in July and miscarried at 6+6 so just wanna get past this gestation hurdle to feel a bit better about the future! I had a 7 week scan with my two boys and seeing the little flicker of their hearts was wonderful. I’d pay the money just for that since MC rates drop considerably after a heartbeat has been seen. Sorry if you’ve already said, is this your first? x

ajayelbee · 11/12/2021 21:21

@MeatyRvita I can self refer next week too - on Friday when I’ll be 6w ☺️ I’m so curious about where in the country you are and wondering if it’s close to me! We’re getting a private reassurance scan, it’s our Christmas present to each other. The little symptoms I had have mostly tailed off, so I just want to make sure it’s all going okay in there.

@SantiagoSister I had cramps like that yesterday. Convinced myself it meant something awful and had a good cry. Back to nothing today 🤷🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
mrsmw132 · 11/12/2021 21:34

@SantiagoSister today has been a bit different.
I could not get myself up this morning. Actually exhausted.
Felt like I was going to be sick brushing teeth.
Nipples like razor blades 😂😂
Have people over for dinner tonight and all I want to do it go to bed 😂😂

twinklesss · 11/12/2021 22:13

Hi everyone! I had a positive test this week, predicted due date 18th Aug at the moment. Second time mum but feeling anxious! (First time posting on this MN too!)

Leilei95 · 11/12/2021 22:18

Hi all, did another test this morning and it’s bfn… very disheartening from bfp :/

I’ve had weird ache/pain sensation in my pelvic area though, and my heart has been beating really hard and fast this evening. Just a bit confused and frustrated :/

SantiagoSister · 11/12/2021 22:33

I’m glad I’m not alone on the cramp side of things @ajayelbee! Thanks for letting me know you had similar yesterday, I really hope it’s just normal for us and just things changing shape in there. Great news you’ve booked an early scan, will you be going before Christmas?

@mrsmw132 sounds like your symptoms are getting into full swing! That’s great, it feels reassuring when you have lots of symptoms like that. I know what you mean about the tiredness, I’m starting to feel really tired earlier in the evenings and struggling to get up in the mornings too.

Hi @twinklesss, welcome to the thread 😊

Sorry to hear that @Leilei95, must be so confusing for you not knowing what’s going on 😔

twinklesss · 11/12/2021 22:37

@SantiagoSister thanks! 🥰

I've been so ill all week with a horrible upper respiratory infection then at the end of the week had a BFP! So I'm still feeling exhausted but not sure if it's from being unwell or pregnancy symptoms. I've also been having a lot of mild cramping (I had this with my first too and it really freaked me out, trying to tell myself it's normal this time unless it gets painful). My nipples are also like razor blades and so sensitive- definitely didn't have this last time.

SantiagoSister · 11/12/2021 22:46

@twinklesss sorry to hear you’ve been poorly all week, there’s so much of that going around at the moment, hope you feel better soon. I’ve been having bad cramping too, hoping it’s normal. Glad you’re having a few symptoms already, that’s reassuring 😊

Caslo · 11/12/2021 22:47

@mrsmw132I hear you about the tiredness - I can barely keep my eyes open atm! Nipples are also really sore. Got all our neighbours over tomorrow evening for a party so gonna need matchsticks come 9pm. Also gotta remember to pretend I’m drinking! x

Caslo · 11/12/2021 22:52

@Leilei95 sorry to hear that lovely. When was AF due? x

Leilei95 · 11/12/2021 23:11

@Caslo was due today, did OPKs so should be accurate.

Sorry if TMI, but I finger checked CM and it was a bit red coloured but when I actually check cervix seemed closed and no blood at all

Leilei95 · 12/12/2021 07:38

@Caslo just did another test .. vvfl so confusedddddd

Caslo · 12/12/2021 08:00

@Leilei95 oooo can you upload a pic? Do you have any other tests that aren't IC? Try and get a FRER to confirm, they're the most sensitive and as you're a day late it will be very accurate x
