I started a thread in the pregnancy sections for those who are due in June. If anyone else is due June 2022 come and join us along the way there is a couple of us now. I found out I was pregnant last week due 2 June by my dates I got my first faint line at 8dpo and they've gotten darker since. Really hoping this is our sticky bean we've suffered 2 mc to in the last 6 months not passing 7 weeks.

I've definitely steered well away from the scales 🤣 Don't do it to yourself, it is what I is I guess and you won't know how much is your extra 'weight' vs. just the baby and waters? So long as you're eating a balanced diet and moving then all should be well.

We're struggling a bit with names too, but actually it's girls that we can't think of rather than boys. We haven't found out the sex so need a shortlist for both.

Is anyone else having hip pain? My right hip is really sore and causing pain in my thighs at night. Keeps waking me up which is annoying. Also have the joys of low iron so feeling a wee bit tired at the mo. Going to try some yoga and a hot bath tonight to see if that helps.

Hope you're all ok 😊 I'm 25 weeks today, time is flying!

Gracierose1 · 16/03/2022 09:25

@Rosie908 have you for a pregnancy support pillow for sleeping at night? I’ve got a dreamgenii one and found it does wonders for hip pain at night. I forgot to pack it when we went to family one night and I noticed the difference.

I’m exactly the same regarding weight, decided to stay away from the scales and just try my best. It’s a weird feeling as a woman as we’re constantly trying not to put on weight but here it’s a good thing (in moderation!). I’m 28 weeks this week and into the last trimester hurrah. Loving actually starting to look pregnant rather than just ‘who ate all the pies’ 🤣

Not sure if others have had a glucose test? I had mine this week and was pleased I didn’t faint as I usually get faint around blood tests and without eating added on I was sure I would pass out. But we did it (baby and me!).

Hope everyone is well!

Dob29 · 16/03/2022 09:56

It is nice to feel you have a proper bump isn't it 🤰I have such a wiggly baby, I love feeling him move.

25 weeks here - the last few weeks have gone so sloooow. Got my midwife appt on Monday so will finally hear his heartbeat 😅 still struggling with names. I feel like maybe I now need to start getting organised, I haven’t really thought about anything yet 🙈
I also have an appt with the consultant next week, I guess to decide if I want to go for natural or c section x

Rosie908 · 16/03/2022 10:20

@Gracierose1 yep I've got a 12 foot pillow... no idea why, Hubble brought it back after a recommendation and it is huge 🤣 Good for wrapping yourself up in and does help the hips but still getting some pain in my thighs. Most comfy way is on my back and straight legged which isn't ideal, so have been trying with sleeping upright which is defo not fun. Urgh.

I'm 27 weeks today so right behind you. So exciting! Can't quite believe the 3rd trimester is just round the corner!

@Dob29 know what you mean about getting organised. I feel like I've got loads to do. When do you think you'll start to think about packing a bag? Not sure if it's a bit bonkers to think about it so early but guess you never know what might happen.

Great that you've got an appointment with the consultant. I haven't been offered an appointment to talk about options yet. Hope it goes well

Gracierose1 · 16/03/2022 15:26

@Rosie908 aww that sounds like a pain in your thighs and hips. I hope it doesn’t get too bad. Yeah I get all tangled up in my pillow, especially when I get up to go to the toilet in the night 🤣

@Dob29 It’s always so hard to know when to do things. Don’t want to be too early but don’t want to leave it to the last minute and be stressed out. That’s what we’re trying to decide in terms of when to get big stuff like the pram/nursery furniture etc as haven’t got loads of room until we clear the spare room out!
Hope your midwife and consultant appointment go well!

Dob29 · 16/03/2022 15:31

@Rosie908 Hope your slee positions get better 😣 they don’t tell you about this side of pregnancy do they 😂
I had an emergency section with my first so I think that is why I have an appointment this time, I have to decide what I want to do!

@Gracierose1 I know it’s hard to know what to do when 😅 we do have a lot of stuff from when son was a baby so hopefully won’t need to buy too much, I just need to find time to see what we’ve got and what we need 🙈

SnowdropFox · 17/03/2022 20:49

Hello ladies! Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well now we are further along. I had my consultant appointment this week about to C or not to C. Gone with C and have been booked in for mid June! Very real again now!

SnowdropFox · 17/03/2022 20:50

Oh and apparently I'm measuring big again this time so will probably have a big baby with this wee one too. Another reason to C section!

Dob29 · 17/03/2022 22:49

@SnowdropFox oh exciting they’ve given you a date! Is it a week or so ahead of your due date?
I think they do the elected c sections on set days in our hosp.

Are you having to have a scan of baby is measuring big?

SnowdropFox · 18/03/2022 04:08

It's only a few days ahead which I was surprised about. But its because they only have extra staff in for electives two days a week and the outcome is better if they wait until 39 weeks.
Yeah looks like I'll have 2 or 3 extra scans, one at 28 weeks and one at 36 I think.

Dob29 · 26/03/2022 07:42

Morning everyone, hope you’re all ok?
27 weeks today - March has flown by hasn't it!
Had my midwife app last week, bump is measuring on 90th but the consultant said he wasn’t worried and I don’t need any scans at this point. All booked in for the C-section - it’s starting to feel so really now it’s coming round so fast 🙈 need to get organised!

Gracierose1 · 28/03/2022 16:25

@Dob29 aww it must be so exciting to have something booked in so you know when baby will arrive.

I’ve had a scan as under a consultant for gestational diabetes and baby is normal size but right at the smaller end. I don’t feel my bump is as big as it should be as I’m going to be 30 weeks tomorrow!! Trying not to compare though as all bumps are different.

Hope all your organisation continues to go smoothly and things continue to go well :)

Rosie908 · 28/03/2022 16:53

Yay! So exciting that your C-sections are booked in! How amazing to have a date.

I'm having to learn to take things slower. Had quite a busy weekend, had today off as a holiday day and have spent most of it in bed fast asleep. I felt totally wiped out this morning and had to abort a planned trip shopping. Finding it quite hard to know my limits 🤣🙈 Is anyone else the same?

Just bought nipple pads and cream... definitely all beginning to feel real now. Ha!

Dob29 · 26/04/2022 18:53

Hi all, how is everyone doing?

anyone else having a big baby? 😄
the midwife referred me for a growth scan and he’s measuring 2 weeks ahead. I have a glucose tolerance test on Friday, has anyone else had one??
I also have low iron levels which explains why I feel like I need 7 naps a day 😂

can you believe how close we are to the end now 👶🏻 X

Gracierose1 · 27/04/2022 05:55

Hi @Dob29 hopefully a couple of weeks ahead isn’t too big. I had the glucose test at 28 weeks and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes but have managed to control it with diet so it’s not been a problem. I actually have the opposite problem. Baby is measuring too small and they couldn’t figure out why for a while but were very concerned. Last week I was diagnosed with preeclampsia which might explain it so baby might have to be delivered early (no later than 37 weeks) so won’t be a June baby as I’m 34 weeks this week 😊

I hope things aren’t too worrying for you and I hope you get well looked after by everyone. Did you say you’ve already got a date booked in for c-section? We’re just frantically buying everything that we thought we had a bit longer to get 😂 and getting my hospital bag ready.

Good luck to you and everyone on the final countdown!

Dob29 · 27/04/2022 08:42

@Gracierose1 Ahh that’s reassuring to know it hasn’t caused too much of a problem.
sorry to hear about the preeclampsia, hope you’re ok?? How exciting you only have 3 weeks to go! Please let us know when she arrives 🥰

Yes I’m already booked in for a section on 21st June which is only 4 days before my actual due date so I’m not sure if they’ll bring it forward or just leave it as it is 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Gracierose1 · 02/05/2022 19:40

@Dob29 hope all goes well with you and you get to the 21st June without having to pull it forward (unless baby gets very big and you might want to).
We’re having a boy 💙 😊 he’s causing a lot of stress as is so small and not growing much but we’re at the hospital every other day for monitoring and fortunately everything else is normal 🙄
Take care!

Dob29 · 03/05/2022 20:21

@Gracierose1 ahh sorry to hear you’re having lots of hospital trips! At least he’s ok, that’s the main thing 😁

my GTT came back normal but my tests did show low iron again so I’m needing to have tablets for that now x

SnowdropFox · 19/05/2022 18:57

How is everyone? Can't believe it is nearly June!

Dob29 · 20/05/2022 19:52

@SnowdropFox hi, good thanks how are you??
I know the time has gone so fast these last couple of months hasn’t it!
35 weeks tomorrow, finish work next Friday - I can’t wait for a bit of time to try and get a bit organised.
how are you feeling? Are you all organised and ready?

SnowdropFox · 22/05/2022 19:04

I'm ok just sore with pelvic girdle pain, I had it last time round so just trying to grin and bear it.

You must be excited about finishing work! In officially finished on the 13th, had loads of annual leave to use up.

Totally disorganised if I'm honest! I hoped I'd be more mobile and able to get the old baby things down from the loft, start washing and making shopping lists but I'm just so sore and tired!
Have you got much to prep?

Gracierose1 · 23/05/2022 22:15

Hi everyone. Hope your final few days/weeks go well. Our lovely little baby boy has arrived earlier than expected due to some complications so not a June baby at all. Only weighed 4lb 10oz, he’s small but mighty! Named him Henry.

good luck everyone and can’t wait to hear about your new arrivals 😊

Congratulations! I hope you are all doing well ❤️ that must have been a bit of a shock but glad to hear he is here and well! Henry is a lovely name xx

Dob29 · 24/05/2022 09:38

@Gracierose1 congratulations! Glad he is doing well!
I was wondering if there would be any early babies in this thread 🙊

I’ve been in hospital the last few days with pains and a temp, think it’s a problem with my gall bladder 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m hoping I can go home today 🤞

Gracierose1 · 06/06/2022 17:31

Thanks guys. Hope you all are well and enjoy the start of your maternity leave etc.

@Dob29 hope you’re all better and back at home now. It’s hard being in hospital in the lead up to baby arriving. Take care of yourself.
