I started a thread in the pregnancy sections for those who are due in June. If anyone else is due June 2022 come and join us along the way there is a couple of us now. I found out I was pregnant last week due 2 June by my dates I got my first faint line at 8dpo and they've gotten darker since. Really hoping this is our sticky bean we've suffered 2 mc to in the last 6 months not passing 7 weeks.

Also, has anyone else experienced achy legs? I usually have quite achy legs but just take an ibuprofen and it's fine - obv I can't do that now but it's SO bad at nighttime that it's waking me up and I'm maxing 4 hours' sleep 😭

Happymum73058 · 06/01/2022 20:09

@SnowdropFox
Yes definitely I did have an anterior placenta with my son and didn't feel movements until about 20 weeks I think it was. Thinking it could be the same this time around. 20 week scan on the 12th so I'll be more reassured after seeing bub again.

Dob29 · 07/01/2022 14:47

Glad everyone’s sicknesses is starting to ease now.
How are you all feeling emotionally? I feel terrible this week. I’ll be 16 weeks tomorrow. I feel so down about how much weight I’ve gained already (11lbs), I'm constantly feeling anxious and worried that something is wrong too. I don’t know why I feel like this, I didn’t feel this way with Jack at all 😔 x

KJenner · 11/01/2022 18:14

@SnowdropFox good luck with your scan tomorrow. Look forward to hearing how you got on. Will you be finding out the sex?

@Dob29 sorry to hear that. I've been quite emotional too. 11lb doesn't sound so much, especially if your boobs have also grown. I have no idea how much I've put on - staying away from the scales!!

I think I've started to feel fluttering this week. Exciting! I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow.

SnowdropFox · 12/01/2022 08:23

@KJenner, just had 16 week midwife appt, no scan until Feb. Not finding out again this time, like the surprise. I think I've got it in my head I'm having a boy though. What are you planning?

@Dob29 the weight can be frustrating but try and turn it into a positive. More weight means growing baby and lots of fluid for bub to float in. Think of ways you'll work it off when they arrive. I always enjoyed our local buggy walk group.

Dob29 · 12/01/2022 10:55

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I’m just so worried about everything this time and I’m not sure why! I’ve given in and booked a scan for this afternoon lol! I just think if I wait another 4 weeks until the 20 week scan I will drive myself insane! Hopefully baby is fine and it will put my mind at ease.

@SnowdropFox how was your 16 week appt? Mine was a bit of a waste of time really, she only checked my blood pressure and made sure I had all necessary appointments booked. Don’t see her again now until 26 weeks.

SnowdropFox · 12/01/2022 11:19

Yeah the 16 week appt was a bit meh. Measured uterus, booked next appt and tested pee. Exciting haha. It was helpful to ask her about that medication I took over Christmas, she was reassuring but said to get the sonographer to check babies spine just in case.

Ah @Dob29 I'm jealous of the scan later, hope they behave and you can see him or her well!

Dob29 · 12/01/2022 11:44

I’ve moved it to sat now because hubby couldnt get out of work and he didn’t want to miss out on seeing baby 😄

Glad the midwife was reassuring about the meds! I have to have an appointment with a nurse and a consultant this time because I had to have a C-section with Jack so I have to decide what I want to do this time 🤦🏻‍♀️ The midwife also said my bump with Jack measured big so the consultant will decide if I need growth scans this time….no one told me Jack was measuring big 😂 he was 12 days early and was 8.2 so I guess if I went to the due date he would have been a big baby

SnowdropFox · 12/01/2022 11:55

Haha we have similar stories, my dd was big (9.1) and breech so had a C a week early. Talk to the Consultant in March about to C or not to C. My gut says yes. What do you think?

Saturday isn't too long to wait!

Dob29 · 12/01/2022 12:51

I have an appointment in March too 😅 I think we have had the exact same appointments so far haven’t we! When is your 20 week scan? Mine is 9th feb.
I’m think c section too. My waters went early with Jack but I wasn’t having pains, had to be induced and was on the drip for 12 hours with the forced contractions and only got to 1.5cm 🙈 they recommended a c then. I don’t want to go through all of that again if I’m not going to progress again and I’ll need a c section anyway. May as well have it planned it and then we can organise childcare for Jack etc

Happymum73058 · 13/01/2022 18:00

Hey everyone had my 20 week scan yesterday and I do have an anterior placenta which is cushioning baby girl's movements.. she was very active on screen! Was lovely to see.

However this morning tested positive for covid. Not feeling so bad at the minute, general cold symptoms. Hoping it doesn't get much worse than this!

Dob29 · 15/01/2022 17:36

@Happymum73058 ahh sorry to hear you’ve got covid! How are you now?

I’ve beeN for a scan today, I have an anterior placenta again too! We are having a boy 💙

Happymum73058 · 16/01/2022 13:21

@Dob29 aww congratulations 😍 boys are so loving aren't they. Have you felt many movements with your anterior placenta?

I'm fine, it's like a mild cold! I have to isolate until Wednesday and do LFT's on Tuesday & Wednesday before I can come out of isolation. Hopefully daughter doesn't test positive before then or we will be stuck inside for longer!

SnowdropFox · 18/01/2022 17:16

Another one joining the covid crew here. We'll my 3 year old and dp. Last week dd had D&V and now this. I'm just exhausted and nauseous. Hopefully won't get a positive test.

So pleased to hear about the scans! My next one isn't until Feb which feels like an age away!

Rosie908 · 18/01/2022 18:00

Hi ladies 😊

Loving reading all of the messages about scans, how bloomin' exciting! My 20 week is next Tues, I can't wait.

Because I felt so crap in the first trimester and am now feeling human again I've been worrying that it means something is wrong. Heard the heartbeat a couple of weeks ago with my midwife which was special but have been panicking since. Still haven't felt anything. Sure I'm just being overly sensitive.

Sorry to read about the dreaded C. Hope you don't feel too poorly and sending get well soon vibes to you!

Rosie908 · 18/01/2022 18:02

I've told work and have begun to sort the nursery... all beginning to feel real now! Thinking of finishing end May, due date 15th June. Eeks!

SnowdropFox · 18/01/2022 18:15

@Rosie908 I hated this part where you couldn't feel anything but your first trimester symptoms were gone. It made me feel empty last time.

This time I've been nauseous for so long and started feeling flutters at the weekend so not had that feeling this time.

Dob29 · 18/01/2022 20:28

Ahh no @SnowdropFox hope you don’t end up with it too! Exciting you’ve started feeling flutters!

@Rosie908 so exciting your scan isn’t too far away now! My 20 week scan is 3 weeks tomorrow. I was worrying too…that’s why I booked a private scan 🙈 everything was fine though. Not too long til you see baby again and it will put your mind at ease.
I’ve told work I am finishing on 27th May 😊 can’t wait 🤣

KJenner · 20/01/2022 18:01

@SnowdropFox and @Happymum73058 hope you're feeling okay and over covid now!
Congratulations @Happymum73058 on your 💕 and @Dob29 on your 💙
We had our 20 week scan yesterday and baby is a 💕 and developing perfectly. She said I have anterior placenta which would explain why I haven't felt much movement and that it's close to my cervix so I have to have an extra scan at 32 weeks to check on it👍 Not hugely worried atm as sonographer said it usually resolves itself but has anyone had this before?
I've also booked in for my whooping cough vaccine next Monday.

Rosie908 · 22/01/2022 07:04

@Dob29 ah that's exciting that you have a finish date already! I think I'm going to ask to officially finish on 6th June but actually finish earlier,.. remember we get 2 days bank holiday on 2/3rd so i was thinking if I can hang on for those it would mean you get paid and maternity kicks in the week after. A cunning plan 🤣

@KJenner a little girl 💓 Huge congratulations. So pleased to hear all is well with baba. I still haven't felt anything so wondering if my placenta is at the front too. Will find out on Tuesday I guess!

I haven't been told my baby is close to my cervix but was told because I had some abnormal cells removed in my early 20s that it might mean I go into labour earlier. Something to do with the cervix not being strong enough to hold the baba full term, so could come at 35 weeks, but all dependent on how big the scar is. They are going to check it all out next week and know for sure. I definitely don't remember the docs telling me this was a risk when I had the cells removed... even if it was a million years ago. Will defo need to reconsider my finish date if there's any risk of coming early... it would make it a mid-May baby! Gulp...

Dob29 · 22/01/2022 09:42

@Rosie908 ahh a mid May baby! That feels so soon doesn’t it! I’m hoping the next few months pass quick for us all.
Although I finish on 27th May my maternity won’t start until 23rd June, I’m annual leave and taking advantage of those extra bank holidays like you.

I’m itching to start getting organised now but I do still feel like it’s too early 🙈 18 weeks today. Although I was feeling movement quite early I still haven’t felt anything for quite a few weeks now 😞 hoping it won’t be much longer x

Gracierose1 · 22/01/2022 16:16

Hi all, REALLY late to the party but would be lovely to join this group. I’m due 7th June. I wish I had found this thread earlier as it would have been lovely to share stuff with you all. And it’s nice to know others are going through the same thing! I had my 20 week scan on Monday and we’re having a boy 💙
Our first baby! I’ve had horrible morning sickness, nausea and bloating (fun and games!!). Went away after first trimester and now is back again from about week 18. Anyone else have sickness come back? Not every day but I think it’s due to slow digestion more than anything!
Love to all you wonderful woman and looking forward to June!!

KJenner · 24/01/2022 09:43

@Rosie908 Good luck with your scan tomorrow!! I felt my first "proper" kicks in Saturday night. Other than that it has felt more like bubbles 🥰 I also got my detailed notes back from my scan and spent my weekend overthinking. Most things (abdomen, femur) measured 65-75 centile but head circumference was only 14! I called my midwife today and she said not to worry at all so that's good.

Ah okay, I guess they will be able to spread some light in whether you could have a May baby then! How exciting!

@Dob29 I want to get organising too but we have to switch up our spare room to turn it into a nursery!! I guess it's good to start early before we are too big and clumsy 🤣 we're due 8th May so will be taking advantage of the extra bank holidays!

Welcome @Gracierose1 ! A boy, how lovely 🥰 did you enjoy your 20 week scan? Funny you should say that, I've felt slightly nauseous now and again the last few weeks. I guess fluctuating hormones play havoc! I was super nauseous (but never actually sick) in first trimester and swore by those wrist bands.

KJenner · 24/01/2022 09:44

Doh - im due 8th June. Baby brain 🤪

Gracierose1 · 24/01/2022 11:42

@KJenner aww 8th June. If it makes you feel any better in my original post I wrote I was due 7th Feb but luckily saw it before I posted. Baby brain is so real 😂
My scan was good, I couldn’t see a lot though as she had to tilt me back slightly as the baby was being a bit difficult to view certain parts! I have to go back this week to finish it off! Hopefully awkward now means he’ll be an angel when born right??! 😄
So lovely that you’ve got a little girl! It’s nice to know their sex so it feels more personal when you talk about them/to them.

Yeah nausea is awful and a bit of a pain. I’m trying to cut down on my food intake and just eat tiny amounts to see if that helps. I love food though so unfair. I found those bands really good and quite comforting. Take care.
