I started a thread in the pregnancy sections for those who are due in June. If anyone else is due June 2022 come and join us along the way there is a couple of us now. I found out I was pregnant last week due 2 June by my dates I got my first faint line at 8dpo and they've gotten darker since. Really hoping this is our sticky bean we've suffered 2 mc to in the last 6 months not passing 7 weeks.

I’m trying my best to eat more fruit but I’m constantly thinking about chips lol! Chips and gravy, chips and curry, chips on their own, chip baps. I want it all constantly 😅

Ahh do we! Mine is 8.30am which I’m glad about, no hanging around waiting for it.
We are going to tell people Christmas Eve I think, are you going to save it for Christmas Eve/day too?

@Rosie908 it must have felt good to tell them! I've been avoiding dinners out as it's hard to find a reason as to why I'm not ordering a glass of wine!
@dob29 mine is 11am so not long after! Also planning to tell family on Christmas eve. I'm staying with my parents the evening of the scan onwards but my husband isn't joining until 24th. Those 3 days of keeping it quiet will feel so long! Have you thought of any exciting ways to tell family? All being well at the scan I'm planning on putting a scan photo in a Christmas card, just hoping everything is OK on 21st!

It’s just so hard to keep in isn’t it @Rosie908 😅

@New2ths well we have a 2 year old and we have matching Christmas pjs this year so I think I’m going to attempt to get a pic of the 3 of us matching which Jack holding the scan pic and then I’ll send it out to friends and family to say Merry Christmas and then wait for the reaction 😅 I think with my MiL we will just go and visit Christmas Eve to tell them face to face, and my mum lives in Spain so it’ll have to be a face time call to her! X

We are visiting my family on Christmas day so we'll tell them then. My dd will be told first, maybe on Christmas eve so she can make the announcement when we arrive. FIL will find out in Boxing day when we visit. Nice time of year to share the surprise!
I dont think my family thinks we are having a second. The reality is, getting pregnant isn't easy for some!
Hope the nausea isn't bad today ladies!

Aaah your plans sound so lovely!

I've just received my scan date, 9th December. Turns out I'm a bit further on than we thought. We had originally planned to tell people at Christmas but think I might combust if I hold it in for too long 🤣 Will see how we feel after the scan and go from there I guess.

I had to have another scan this week just to make sure all is ok. It is, thankfully, and it looked like baba was doing a little jig...legs moving around all over the place! 💓 Amazing to see.

I am finally feeling a bit more human. Still eating everything in sight but have a lot more energy and definitely less sick. Keep scoffing those breadsticks ladies, they are like magic!

I'm jealous of all of you getting scans! I've only got my first midwife appt next week! Hoping I get a scan booked in soon after. 9 weeks today!

So exciting you are all having scans! And lovely ways to tell family.

Is anyone feeling a bit mixed up with emotions? I've been so excited for weeks but this week I've started doubting myself, thinking I'm not prepared, I won't know what to do/be good at it, also just feeling very fed up in the evenings, which is probably to do with nausea but just a little bit miserable this week!

I dreamt I told my parents and they were really disappointed! I'm 30 and married so I know in reality they would be pleased but in my dream they were telling me I was too young!! Bit of a funny feeling since.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling anxious @New2ths. I think it's entirely natural though so try not to put too much pressure on yourself. I'm sure your family will be delighted for you, it's the most wonderful news they can hear :)

I've felt a bit wobbly too, really paranoid that the baby isn't ok and not growing as it should... it's hard to know when you can't feel anything yet isn't it, so I think my mind has just gone a bit into a whirl about it all. I've only had scans because of pain (it's actually good if you haven't had to have one yet, it means everything is going to plan), which have helped with the paranoia a bit because I know the baby is growing in the right place (not ectopic which is what they were worried about).

Now I'm worrying about the 12 week scan and to make sure the baby is healthy... hoping I'll feel a bit calmer after that! It's all a bit draining.

Sending happy vibes to you, we've got this!

@SnowdropFox hope you get your scan date soon! It can’t be that far away for you now!

@New2ths sorry to hear you’ve been a bit wobbly, it’s totally normal though! The mix of excitement, worry and nerves as well as your ever changing hormones is a right rollercoaster! And nobody prepares you for it 😅

@Rosie908 glad your scan went well and that the breadsticks are helping!

My nausea has eased this last couple of days too and my boobs aren’t as sore 🤷🏻‍♀️ Still massive though. I’ve booked a private scan for next weekend. If anything, that early scan last week has made me worry more and now I’m convinced it’s not growing 🙈 especially now my symptoms seem to be easing, so we’re going to go next Saturday just to put our minds at ease. I’ll hopefully be around 9 weeks then. If everything is ok I might tell me sister just so I have someone to talk to about it 😅

How is everyone feeling atm? I'm ok, just nauseous in the evening and tirrrrred!
Had my first midwife appt on Tuesday so have my scan set for the 10th! Then it'll feel real.

@SnowdropFox great you had your midwife appointment and hooray for the 10th :)

I momentarily felt totally fine but now feeling nauseous again and my boobs are sore. Definitely not as hungry as I was but still need snacks available at all times just in case!

Met my best friend's 8 week old yesterday and it brought the reality to life a bit more, eeks! So exciting.

I'm feeling quite anxious about my scan on the 9th. No reason why really but suppose it's a mixture of anticipation and excitement. We're having the extra tests done too and have been told it could be another 10 days after that you'll get your results, know that will feel like a long old wait and we won't be able to tell the world until then. I didn't realise it was so long after the 12 week scan that you hear. Looking forward to shouting from the rooftops but just wanted to make sure everything is ok... definitely not helping with the anxiety either!

@SnowdropFox good that it’s not long until your scan now! Bet you can’t wait.
I’m the same, still feeling sick and so tired. I’m struggling to get through a full day at work 😆

@Rosie908 not long til your scan now either! Exciting! I’m sure everything will be perfectly fine!

We didn’t manage to get in for a private scan so just waiting for the 12 week one now. 3 weeks to go! Think I am 9 weeks today x

How is everyone thos week? I'm feeling up and down nausea wise still it's still not as bad as with my first lo. Looking forward to telling her so I can put some boundaries around my bump that she will be able to understand a bit better. She loves to cuddle close on my lap but she just isn't getting to be a bit gentler than usual.

Morning!

@SnowdropFox hope your sickness eases soon!
Yeah I know what you mean about needing to tell your daughter, my little boy likes to use me as a climbing frame at the mo 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have been driving myself crazy this past week thinking something was wrong, managed to get in for a private scan yesterday and luckily everything is fine and as it should be! They dated me 10w3days, due 29th June.
I’m glad I had the scan because I have my friends Christmas party next week and they will all know even without me having to tell them (the bloat is making me look pregnant already 🙈) so I’m
more comfortable with them all knowing next week. Our 12 week scan isn’t until 21st Dec.

I’ve also had an appointment through for March with the dr to discuss if I want to try and have a natural birth this time or op for a C-section! Had to have an emergency c section last time

Morning ladies!

All good here thank you. Actually feeling good, no sickness, more energy and the pain in my tum has gone completely now. Boobs are still tender which I'm actually quite pleased about... making me not panic that something is wrong as it's a definite sign something is going on.

I told my sister and best friend whilst I was in London last weekend because I won't see them over Christmas. Their reactions were so special 💓 So nice to actually talk about it with someone too.

12 week scan this Thursday. Eeks! Can't wait to see baba again. Cross everything 💫

Glad everything is ok with you, @SnowdropFox so pleased everything was ok with the scan. Enjoy celebrating with your friends at the weekend.

Had my 12 week scan yesterday, baba is healthy and was doing a happy dance. It was amazing to see.

Just waiting for the results of the other tests now, which are due any time over the next couple of weeks. Then we'll be shouting from the rooftops, a lovely Christmas present for everyone 🎄💫

I'm so relieved. Anticipation is exhausting. Sending happy vibes to you all for your scans xx

@Rosie908 ahh lovely news! It’s so lovely to see isn’t it 🥰 it amazing how much baby is moving around already isn’t it.
Still another 11 days til our official scan 🤦🏻‍♀️

How are you feeling now? I’ve put on half a stone already so I really need to cut back on the snacks now 😄

Rosie908 · 10/12/2021 09:45

@Dob29 I know exactly how you feel. I'm definitely feeling squidgy and can't get in any of my clothes. Thank goodness for baggy jumper dresses!

I'd say I'd cut down on naughty treats but it's Christmas and the likelihood of me actually doing that is -1000 🤣 Will try to be better in the New Year, when hopefully the nausea will be a distant memory too.

Other than feeling a bit sick and hungry I'm fine. Definitely have more energy and feeling more of my old self. Can't wait to finish for a couple of weeks over Christmas though, in need of a proper break.

How are you feeling?

Dob29 · 10/12/2021 09:52

@Rosie908 I know I’m thinking I’ll really try to be good after Christmas 🙈 there is just too much chocolate floating around now.

Not too bad now thanks! The nausea isn’t too bad now as long as I eat something every couple of hours 😄 I’m still very tired and definitely ready for the Christmas break like you! I’m 11+2 now so hopefully in a couple of weeks I’ll start to have more energy again. I don’t remember being this tired last time, but I guess my toddler is zapping any tiny bits of energy I do have this time round 🙈

Glad you’re starting to feel better now! Have you told your work about baby yet?

Rosie908 · 10/12/2021 09:58

Definitely sack off any healthy eating plans until the New Year. Christmas is about enjoying yourself so I'm not going to worry too much about slowly turning into a Christmas pudding!

I'm 13+2 so fingers crossed you'll find your energy levels will go up in the next couple of weeks 😊 They keep bringing the due date forward, it was 21st June and now 15th. Eeks!

Haven't told work yet. I've got a meeting with my Line Manager in Jan so am just going to wait until then to tell them. I didn't want to worry her over Christmas either by telling her I won't be there from June 🤣🤣

When are you planning to tell them?

Report
Dob29 · 10/12/2021 10:34

Ahh that’s so exciting isn’t it! I hope June comes round quick for us 😄

I’ve told my line manager - I had to as I needed to cancel some appointments to be able to attend my first scan 🙈 but I haven’t told main management yet. I’m going to tell them in January too! Only 24 Mondays left in work 🙌😂
