I started a thread in the pregnancy sections for those who are due in June. If anyone else is due June 2022 come and join us along the way there is a couple of us now. I found out I was pregnant last week due 2 June by my dates I got my first faint line at 8dpo and they've gotten darker since. Really hoping this is our sticky bean we've suffered 2 mc to in the last 6 months not passing 7 weeks.

Baby brain is so real!! I find I have to set constant reminders and leave lists and post-it's for myself 🤣

Aw lovely that you get another scan though! Little girl was so well behaved for hers and stretched just as the sonographer wanted to check her little spine 🥰 Yeah that's exactly it. We are only telling immediate family and best friends the gender but it makes it feel more real (and also saves us coming up with 💙 names).

I read they recommend 6 smaller meals a day if you're still nauseous.

I just had my whooping cough vaccine and MY GOD my arm is so sore?! Has anyone else had theirs yet?

Gracierose1 · 24/01/2022 18:30

@KJenner I had the whooping cough jab at my scan and man my arm hurt so much afterwards. I was warned fortunately so chose it on the side I don’t sleep on. Only lasted a couple of days thank goodness 😊

KJenner · 26/01/2022 13:34

My arm is still aching but not so bad. I've got a bit of a funny tummy last night and today and googled and apparently that's a side effect too? So random.

Dob29 · 02/02/2022 10:10

Hi all, how is everyone?
Feel like it’s been a while since we posted 😅
Has anyone had their 20 week scan yet? Mine is next weds.
My nausea has returned this week for some reason 😩 x

Gracierose1 · 04/02/2022 13:14

Hope all goes well for your 20 week scan. Are you going to find out the sex? I had mine a couple of weeks ago. I always find scans worrying but it’s nice afterwards.
Yes I discovered that my nausea (and some vomiting) kindly came back again in the second trimester randomly 😭. Seems better this week (22 weeks) so hope yours doesn’t last long!

Catnipdelight · 07/02/2022 07:20

Are anyone else's boobs just seeming to get bigger by the minute?!

Honestly!! They were huge before but I got new bras in a 34GG and now when I take them off at night my skin is all grooved in red where they're cutting in. Even XL sports bras don't hold me in!

I think I need to buy an industrial set of size XXXXL wire-free sports bras. Any recommendations?!

KJenner · 07/02/2022 16:22

Good luck for your scan on Wednesday @Dob29 !!
@Gracierose1 I find them really stressful too but then so relieved after... until I manage to find something else to worry about 🙈 my good friend had bad news at their 20 week scan (little one is now a thriving 6 year old) so I am aware of how it isn't "just a gender scan".
@Catnipdelight 34GG!! Your poor back! Mine got huge the first 2 months but I don't think they've grown so much lately. Maybe TMI but I think I had my first bit of colostrum the other night.

On another note, has anyone caught covid during their pregnancy? I'm being super careful but went for lunch with my best friend and her 11 year old yesterday and her daughter just tested positive. They all had it over Christmas so we're wondering if it was a false positive but worrying all the same. I know it's unlikely I'd get very unwell (especially as 22 weeks) but I really cba to be unwell - I'm super tired as it is!!

Hope you're all doing okay and starting to feel movement 🥰

Dob29 · 07/02/2022 20:04

@Gracierose1 thank you! yes we already know we are having a boy 💙 glad everything was well with your scan!

@Catnipdelight mine are huuuge too and feel like they are getting bigger! Not as big as yours by the sounds of it 😅 but ridiculous for me. I’m already thinking I’m going to need some sort of breast lift after 😂 I got some comfy bras from Asda, no wire in them, they aren’t great for support though tbh but they are comfy for around the house.

@KJenner thank you! I haven’t got it but I’m part of a group on the Peanut app and a lot of women due in June seem to have had it! Most are saying it’s just made them really tired. Fingers crossed you’ll be fine 🤞

Lots of little movements for me now, not consistent but I love it when it happens x

KJenner · 08/02/2022 10:19

Thank you @Dob29. I hadn't heard of Peanut but just downloaded it. I've read that catching covid in third trimester is most dangerous so 🤞 it will just be like a bad cold if I do catch it. I had done so well avoiding it 😭
Yes the movement I feel is still quite sporadic but it's lovely to feel 🥰

Dob29 · 08/02/2022 10:36

@KJenner it’s like tinder for mums 😂 you can find people in your area to chat to and make friends with ☺️

KJenner · 08/02/2022 17:01

@Dob29 I've been with my husband so long I never actually got the chance to use Tinder! Just signed up to a Peanut and loving the ruthlessness of the swipe 🤣

SnowdropFox · 12/02/2022 19:55

I haven't been on here for ages! Recovered from a vomiting bug and covid which the 3 year old brought home from nursery.

Hope you are all doing well! I've also had my 20 week scan now. All is well and looking on track. I feel huge, think I'm going to have another 9+ babe.

KJenner · 14/02/2022 20:06

Hope you're feeling better now @SnowdropFox?

Glad your 20 week scan all went well. Did you find out whether you're having 💕 or 💙? I'm suddenly feeling pretty big and finding it harder to put my socks on 😅

Dob29 · 14/02/2022 20:22

I feel a lot bigger this last week too!

I would highly recommend not watching the new BBC series This is Going To Hurt 😅 I read the book before I got pregnant and just started watching the series, not good to watch while pregnant, especially if you’re planning a C-section lol!

KJenner · 14/02/2022 20:48

@Dob29 I read that book ages ago! I know it ends with a really sad story so am staying away from the TV series for now 😬

Dob29 · 14/02/2022 20:51

@KJenner I really loved reading the book but I honestly think I’ll need to stay away from the rest of the series now 🙈 I’m too emotional and too pregnant to watch it lol!

KJenner · 14/02/2022 20:57

@Dob29 completely agree! I'll enjoy watching it after little one arrives 🥰

Gracierose1 · 16/02/2022 09:30

I’m glad I’m not the only one that finds I have to think/bend a different way to put my socks on 😂 I really didn’t think that would happen yet!

Hope everyone’s 20 weeks scans are going well/have gone well.

SnowdropFox · 17/02/2022 07:59

@KJenner, nope not finding out. Didn't with my dd and not fussed again. Our local NHS doesn't tell you anyway, you have to go private.

I've seen that TV show advertised, tempted but might avoid if you are all saying it has sadness at the end! I'm awful with sad TV shows and movies normally, nevermind being pregnant!

Anyone else's babe a party animal at night? I'm barely sleeping because they just won't stop throwing shapes!

Rosie908 · 21/02/2022 12:28

Hi everyone, i haven't been on here for ages. Pleased to read everyone is ok.

I'm 24 weeks on Weds, scan was good and baba was doing a happy dance. Feeling flutters regularly now which is such a weird feeling isn't it! Really reassuring though.

My tummy has popped over the past few weeks. I can only just see my toes now and can't bend at all. Shoes with laces are are distant memory! 🤣

Just confirmed my last day at work. Taking holiday before so 12 weeks en counting... eeks!

Dob29 · 21/02/2022 14:02

@Rosie908 I’m on countdown too 😂 13 weeks for me!

My bump is getting there but doesn’t feel too big at the mo, I’m 22+2 now. None of my clothes fit but maternity pants are too big 😅

I’m feeling lots of movements now, it’s lovely x

SnowdropFox · 26/02/2022 19:57

Anyone else struggling with potential names? We have a girls first name sorted and not too worried about a middle name yet. Boys though, urgh! So stuck!
With my dd it was easy, we had a shortlist of two which one was way ahead. MN was easy as dh wanted to honor a relative. We had a boys shortlist but never loved them.
I know it's ages to go and I'm not worried exactly, I just dwell on it a lot!

Have you ladies picked names out or waiting to meet the wee bub?

Dob29 · 26/02/2022 20:22

Omg yes! Boys name are so hard! We had a few girls names picked but now we know it’s a boy we can’t think of any that we like 🤦🏻‍♀️ So tough x

SnowdropFox · 26/02/2022 23:40

There is just such a variety of girls names, I feel boys are just so much more limited. Variety ends up being out there or weird rather than underused.

I think ill eventually ask for inspiration on the baby name board.

zigazigaahfuck · 01/03/2022 09:49

I finally bit the bullet and decided to weigh myself... was a bit of a horrifying shock (I'm 25 weeks) but then I did a couple of online calculators and I seem to be on track/within healthy range still based on stage of pregnancy.

I read somewhere that the most substantial weight gain happens in second trimester, does anyone have any real-life experience to back that up or can I still expect further dramatic acceleration?

I had finally gone down to a weight I was pretty happy with and then I got pregnant so i have admit that seeing the pounds climb up is a bit scary, even though I know it's all normal blah blah.
