That’s great news @PurplePansy05 - sending positive thoughts in your direction and fingers crossed you’re home for the weekend.

Smurf123 · 06/08/2021 21:45

@PurplePansy05 brilliant news! Fingers crossed you get home for the weekend!!

Mummywantsaweewee · 07/08/2021 00:53

Hey everyone… just wanted to pop on and say my little boy arrived today!! Too tired to read back in thread but wanted to say congrats to anyone whose little babas have made an appearance in last few days xxx

WinterBabyof89 · 07/08/2021 02:48

Congratulations @Mummywantsaweewee!
What a week this has been!

Lovely news about your little one @PurplePansy05. What a little trooper he is

Ready2020 · 07/08/2021 06:31

Wee girl arrived today at about 4am. So so so tired. Not sure what to do with her so I can sleep.

@Ready2020 omg gorgeous ! Congratulations 🥳

And congrats to you too @Mummywantsaweewee !!

Had a dream my waters had broken ... of course they haven't. Never woken so many times in the night, had trapped wind and needing to wee all the time. Think I have restless legs too. So so tired but can't sleep properly. I'm not enjoying this bit ☹️

sarah13xx · 07/08/2021 07:12

I love that this is the only place people are on multiple times during the night because no one gets a full nights sleep 😂

Huge congratulations @Ready2020 and @Mummywantsaweewee 💙💖 sooo many babies now!

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2021 08:36

Yesss @Mummywantsaweewee @Ready2020 congratulations to you both!! Hope you manage to get some rest!

@lucyrp I'm getting fed up with uncomfortable nights sleep too, everything aching when I wake and needing to pee so often. Sometimes it's literally an hour later and I'm up and in the bathroom. Although I guess a restful nights sleep isn't going to happen anytime soon 😂 it's nice to know that hopefully the peeing, aching and heartburn when I lay down will hopefully stop after Monday for me and I can see an end to it now! Hope it's not too long for you!!!!!!

@Ready2020 she is absolutely precious, congratulations xx

biscuitcat · 07/08/2021 09:06

Congratulations @Mummywantsaweewee and @Ready2020! Such wonderful news 🥰

And brilliant news for you too @PurplePansy05 - little Leo doing you proud

Hope those of you still waiting are feeling OK - I'm symptom spotting now in the same way I did before the positive test 😂 woke up this morning with a really hideous lower back ache which paracetamol hasn't touched the sides of and so have spent ages googling back labour, and don't think it's it. Also had a quickie with DH and spent 10 mins with a pillow under my bum after to try and get the sperm to do its job!

PurplePansy05 · 07/08/2021 09:11

Congrats @Ready2020! I take it you have a cot next to your hospital bed, so get here dressed, covered with a lovely blanket and off to sleep. You need to rest now. I'm sure you'll both be woken up at some point for various checks and tests anyway. You might not sleep much from now on though 🤣 xx

PurplePansy05 · 07/08/2021 09:16

We've just had baby doctors and the obstetric surgeon who delivered my little Leo the lion visit us and they're happy for us to be released ❤ So I'm off to pack up and waiting for DH. Midwife will be visiting us tomorrow. I'm so happy and excited to be going home 🥰 thank you all for your messages and positive vibes for Leo ❤ xx

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2021 09:28

Yesssss @PurplePansy05 wonderful news!!

@biscuitcat that did make me laugh 😂😂

@Ready2020 Oh My God what a doll. Congratulations!

@Mummywantsaweewee congratulations to you too!

This has been a fantastic week! Congratulations to everyone whose had their little bundles ❤️

@PurplePansy05 great news! You and Leo can go home safe and start your adventure at home. How exciting.

I'm still getting leg cramps and pee trips at night to the bathroom. For all of us waiting for babies let's just support each other and pray it gets comfortable for us all for the next few weeks x

sarah13xx · 07/08/2021 09:39

Aw brilliant news @PurplePansy05 welcome home Leo 😊

Had a few unusual pains last night when I woke up for the toilet. Sat on the edge of the bed at one point like ‘oh no, please don’t be it’ 😂 but he’s decided to stay in! Two more nights to get through, I feel like they’re the riskiest time for it to happen 🙈

Magik01 · 07/08/2021 09:57

Congrats @Ready2020 and @Mummywantsaweewee so many babies now! And fantastic news that you are able to finally go home @PurplePansy05

My little Isaac was born yesterday weighing 6lb 7oz. He is the double of his brother when he was born and has so much hair! C section went well, however I was the last one of the day dispute being on the AM list so didn’t go down to theatre until 2ish. I was bloody starving 🤣 Feeling good this morning, managed to shower and walking around okay. So much better than after the EMCS.

All the up to one month sleepsuits I packed bury him as I took out all the tiny baby stuff as the sonographer said he would be over 7lb when here, so take a mixture of Botha dispute what weight you’ve been told! I also accidentally ripped the cannula out of my hand resulting in what can only be described as a murder scene, covering one of my nighties 😂 so I would suggest taking at least three, not two like I have!

Keep on top of the pain meds, last time I relied on the midwifes to give them me when it was my turn, this time I’ve been actively asking if I’m due them as I don’t want to fall behind time wise. Better to take them before there’s pin rather than when your in pain! If I think of anything else I will let you know. Currently still in hospital- hoping to be discharged today!

MrsB2019x · 07/08/2021 10:03

Congratulations to everybody who has had their babies over the last few days! 💙

Still waiting for induction ☹️ Can’t see it happening this weekend tbh. Went to hospital for a CTG yesterday and had to wait 4 hours despite it being a booked appt so think they are ridiculously busy…

sarah13xx · 07/08/2021 10:32

Amazing @Magik01 congratulations! ❤️ How was the cannula and spinal? Nightmare that you had to wait so long without food but glad it went well.

I originally had all the first size (up to 7.8lbs) in but I’ve changed it to a mix of them and 0-3 months. He’s predicted to be 7lb something I think. Oh no! Will sit a third nightie out with the baby clothes and my partner can lift it all and bring in what I need. Don’t think I even owned one nightie prior to this 😂 good idea to ask for the pain meds, I’m guilty of staying quiet and waiting on people helping me but I think I will try and say rather than end up in pain!

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2021 10:33

Congratulations @Magik01 ! When did you have to fast from?

BertieBotts · 07/08/2021 10:33

Hope you got some sleep in the end Ready.

I also kept dreaming my waters were going Hmm

I have reached the stage where even maternity clothes are too small :( But don't want to buy more at this tage.

BertieBotts · 07/08/2021 10:38

I always find canulas are really scary but then less bad than I thought.

Epidural is similar to spinal isn't it? Count to 100 in French while they are doing it and once you get there it will be over. Not nice but not too painful and quite quick. You probably won't even get to 50 :)

sarah13xx · 07/08/2021 10:41

@BertieBotts I might need to do it in English or brush up on my French before Monday 😂

Magik01 · 07/08/2021 10:42

@Daffodil21 food from the midnight before and any drink including water from 7am! So by the time I was in recovery your talking 4pm before I got any water, even later for drink. But I said to the DH there was most probably a reason why the others were before me so I can’t argue.

@sarah13xx 100% ask for the meds. If I hadn’t of asked last night or this morning I know I wouldn’t have gotten them (it happened last time, I went a whole day without anything because they were that busy and forgot). Honestly if your baby is only going to be 7lb something I don’t think I’d bother with 0-3! First size sleepsuits are burying Isaac at the moment. The cannula was fine, just a shape scratch. It is pretty annoying though as it gets in the way when trying to do anything. The spinal wasn’t half as bad as I remember. They spray some really cold stuff first then give you local anaesthetic before they even did mine so I didn’t actually feel anything! The build up is defo worse than what’s happening. And everyone in theatre is so lovely. Be warned though there are quite a lot of people in a small room. Also as soon as you feel sick (if you do) tell them and they will give you anti sickness straight away while in theatre.

BertieBotts · 07/08/2021 10:43

That's the point! It's got to be a bit challenging or it isn't distracting enough :)

Magik01 · 07/08/2021 10:43

Even later for food I mean, not drink!
