@sarah13xx @PurplePansy05 I’m the same! All weekend I was telling DH that this is the last time there will just be the three of us. I will miss the one on one time with my DS1 a lot, I hope he likes his brother!!

@Magik01 Fingers crossed they get on well, I'm sure in time everything will settle 😘

Today is my last Monday morning of work for at least 9 months - such a weird feeling, but I'm definitely ready. And I know having a baby is work, just a different kind...

Good luck to everyone having sections this week - and to anyone who goes into labour a bit more unexpectedly too! I've been getting so emotional recently, just waiting to meet our new arrival, anything setting me off!

@PurplePansy05 that made me laugh lovely, about your accident! But thank you too, you've prompted me to finally put the protective sheet I ordered for if waters break/boob leakage onto the bed!

@PurplePansy05 oh god don’t, you’ll set me off 😭 I was saying that to my partner that I’m going to find it so strange going places without him always with me. No matter where I’ve gone the last 9 months I’ve always been able to feel he’s there! can’t imagine being in my body by myself again 😂

@Magik01its such a bizarre feeling isn’t it. This will be our last week as a two, ever! It’s not like it happens for a bit then changes back 🙈 I’m trying to do one kind of outing every day this week to celebrate (while avoiding going near anyone or catching covid)😂

Lovely to hear from you @Mummywantsaweewee. I definitely get the not wanting to count your chickens. I've not had a significant scare in this pregnancy but I have had 3 previous losses. Unfortunately there are several of us on here who get the not wanting to get too excited feeling etc etc but hopefully we will all be ok ❤️ you are sadly in good company.

My due date is 4 days earlier than what it should have been based on ovulation too. I guess this probably happens quite a lot!

I've had a few crying sessions about it not only being me and DS anymore, it seems stranger too as he is from a previous relationship so it's a really big step from us two to the 4 of us even though OH has been with us since he was a baby and DS is now 6. I hope he loves having a sibling 🥲🥰

@Daffodil21 @sarah13xx Thank you both for the well wishes! I’m not having a section but I’m being induced on Wednesday.. so god knows when she’ll eventually make her entrance 🤣

Day 2 and I’m giving up with the colostrum harvesting already 😂 did more ‘prep’ than yesterday with the massaging, heat etc yet got an embarrassingly small amount out. Wouldn’t even go down the syringe past the lid! I think probably stressing the whole time ‘will this put me into labour?’ wasn’t helping 🤦🏼‍♀️ Might give it another go later in the week but think it could be more hassle than it’s worth for that amount!

Just had my 38 week appointment and told her my worries but basically she palmed me off and said it's not a big baby and even if it is I'll be fine and I probably won't go full term 🙄

@lucyrp 😔 they seem to be in such a rush to get you out you have no time to discuss anything you’re worried about!

Hope you're all set and it goes smoothly.

I've had incessant itchy skin last couple of days. Mainly on my belly but some on arms and hands so had some bloods taken...it could be cholestasis. Sleeping is just impossible with the pelvis pain and this huge mass attached to my body!

Someone mentioned recipes earlier in the thread and I thought I'd share this energy snack recipe....loads of variations of this available online but I've tried this one.

I actually don't know how you can cope with having a date :o I know in some ways it must be better in terms of planning, prepping etc but I just remember how little I slept before I thought I was having an ECV! I am so crap with nerves/anxiety before something planned.

I have been wrestling with the cot today. A friend gave us a BabyBay which was very kind and the adjustment of it is very clever in terms of it being able to be absolutely exact, but it's totally maddening because you adjust it by sliding supports up and down wooden rails. Which means as soon as you loosen one the whole thing falls down and then it is impossible to get level again Got there in the end though.

I like the fact I have a date so I can stay in denial all this week and just kid on its not happening. I think most people must just do that but with their due date though! the difference will be next weekend and Monday morning I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get through it knowing it’s coming 🙈 cannot imagine trying to sleep the night before. I haven’t told anyone either so can’t even tell anyone how terrified I am before it! Will just need to come on here to scream about it 😂

It's a bit of a false reassurance having a due date isn't it? It actually could be anytime in the couple of weeks before or after.

Yes but I don't want to share the exact date in case it slips, they are very busy and understaffed this week I was told, so don't want to jinx it @Dia12 xx

I'm just being so grumpy and horrible today :( I've made both kids come out to the park in the hope it will make me feel better and not shout at them for random things.

@BertieBotts I think I'm feeling the same about a date actually - I very much want baby out now, but I think I'd be more stressed if I knew more precisely when that would be, I imagine I'd feel just as you did before your ECV appointment. It can be weirdly relaxing knowing there's not much control over it 😂

I've finally started batch cooking for the freezer today, it's a little while since I've cooked anything which needs lots of prep and since then I think baby has really nestled deep into my pelvis, so standing up and bending/stretching to get the kitchen bits I need has been harder work than I thought! I'll definitely have 2 meals made by the end of the day and hoping that I feel up to making a curry too for another few portions 🤞

Also I'm only 3/5th engaged but not sure how much that means with a second baby🙄

@PurplePansy05 same here with likelihood of it being delayed. Fingers crossed for both of us!

@Dia12 I have the same issue with itching and got a blood test which was clear. I still itch though and use calamine lotion to help calm it. It doesn't always work though. My poor feet and ankles have healing scratches all over them! Cool baths help too.
