just so you know who i am - used to be jacobandlysetteandabump - this was the only christmas name i could think of

IndigoBlue · 07/12/2007 20:44

Aussiesim - Hope you feel better soon, we have got builders in as well and it's very tiring and stressful having your house invaded. I can't wait til it's finished.

Chuffed - I think you're doing really well to still be in your normal jeans, especially with 3 in there!

I'm looking forward to my scan too, it's a week on monday so not too long to wait. We've decided we do want to know the sex now I think. I've been feeling very tired this week and me & dd have both had colds which hasn't helped but I'm having an early night tonight.

Aussiesim- Awww teapot that's the cutest thing!!!!!!!!!!

SantasPregnantlittlehelper- You're so lucky to only be getting big in bump this time. I put on LOADS of weight at first, but had a huge bump really quick aswell (I think there might be a lot of water in there), and now, though my weight has stabilised, my bump is getting whopping. So I'm sort of the size of a house when I look in the mirror. particularly when i wear too tight tights that cut me in half Ooo mince pies and chinese food, that's a good one. Last night i ate lots of picked chillies from the jar and then decided to eat them on top of a french fancy... mmmmmmmm... it was scrummy, but I nearly made everyone else sick at the sight of it

I've been feeling wriggles for weeks, as everyone knows I was an early wriggler. Lately I've been getting a good few kicks, but this morning i got my proper big kicks that came out of my tummy and I was soooooooo happy i rang everyone to tell them The baby seems to get so mad if my waist band on my pants is sticking in my tummy. The baby's also really quite low down from what i can feel, is that normal?

I've had ess ailments the past few days so I'm much happier. How is everyone else feeling?

gingerwench · 08/12/2007 11:12

Sorry I've not posted for a while

Work is a little stressful but I'm feeling very calm and grounded about pregnancy which is helping. At our work christmas meal a couple of nights ago my (male married no kids through choice, and single male no kids) colleagues were really curious about whether I always wanted children (no not really not until I met my husband) and whether I was excited (hmm was when I saw the scan now just calmly happy). They said I seemed v relaxed about everything so I must be creating the right impression at work anyway! I've lost count of the number of people coming up to me that I barely know in the ladies loos and saying they've heard the news and congrats followed by "we thought you were looking v rough a couple of mornings"!!

I'm still a little tired but the only bad physical thing now is the rash - still itchy all over and v red (not a lot of sleep this week for either me or DH), not responding to Piriton or Calamine lotion. It's now on my face and turning to full-blown eczema nd the pharmacist says this is common - anyone else got it?

Can't wait to get a proper bump. I'm 15+2 and only a few pairs of work trousers fit now but maternity clothes are too big. How is everyone else with clothes?

Sorry for no personal responses but find it hard to keep up. Best wishes to all.

Hi everyone, I haven't posted in ages but its lovely to read back over so many other posts to hear how its all going.
I've been feeling loads better after a horrible cold over the last couple of weeks-great to feel normal again!
A pity that the hormones are making me so emotional-cried twice at work this week after a trainee teacher said that I was overpowering and that I shouted at her-complete lies! She then went moaaning to another colleague and he seemed to take her side-this trainee teacher is not very good and is not planning lessons and my pupils are really suffering. So instead of talking it through with this colleague I cried like a baby and walked out! Then on a work do last night he started discussing my "mood swings" in a group conversation with 6 other people-I was sooo not happy!

Other than that-every one is being lovely. Like you gingerwench, people keep coming up an giving congrats and saying that I had looked green for weeks!! The pupils I teach have been amazing and so interested-this even makes me emotional as they are being so sweet, even the horrible teenage boys are trying to be good and not annoy me!!

Gingerwench- I'm having the same bother with trousers-I'm 19 wks and the maternity trousers are just awful-baggy and bad material. Does anyone know where I can get some nice clothes for christmas?

I've harped on for an age..sorry!
I'm away to tuck into my choccy advent calendar-I love it when I've missed a day!

Hi,

Big hugs to all. Been reading posts regularly and not replying because don't know where to start!

So in no particular order and not limitatively (forgive my omissions):

-LOL at potty prayer & tea pot. So sweet!
-pmsl at rude dreams!
-Chuffed just realised you have 3 babies.....and sailing and wearing size 10 jeans and not moaning at all! Extra big hug for you. Take care.
-Aussie, brave decision.I was offered amnio with DS1 and preferred to wait for anomaly scan. I'm sure everything is fine.Take care.

  • orange cravings and meat aversion here too.

Wolverina, I guess we'll meet after Xmas holidays as we are both leaving soon. Take care. I'm back 3rd week january and will post here for meet up.

My 20 scan is actually booked for last day of 22nd week? Is that still OK?

Are you putting on lots of weight?
Me varies between 2 and 3kg depending on days. Very odd how one day its 67+ and next back under 66.

JackBlackRoady · 10/12/2007 09:43

hello everyone, lovely to read all your posts!

i don't weigh myself, have no scales, but i seem to have a much bigger bump than with DS, was annoying DH yesterday by looking at it and asking him how it looked! i think because i have FINALLY stopped throwing up it has started to grow!

is anybody else really hot at night? i am waking up all the time to drink water, especially when DH closes the window complaining he is freezing.

speak soon, JBR xxx

JingleBellsRoady · 10/12/2007 09:46

and here is my sparkly Christmas name!

macaco · 10/12/2007 09:57

Hello everyone,

Hope all is well. JBR, is the sickness finally starting to ease? Must be such a relief! I'm off for my 20 week scan (although I'm 21) this morning! Will hopefully find out the sex!!!

MincecePie · 10/12/2007 10:57

Hello cece here,

I am now 18 plus 4 but still not in maternity clothes... I lost a lot of weight just before falling pf so I guess I have just refilled the clothes that had got to big for me.

I had a small bleed on Fri evening so popped into hospital on Sat morning to get checked out. They listened to heartbeat etc and siad it was one of those things, although could have been casued by my constipation and the straining... . Funnily enough there was another lady in the assessment ward who had exactly the same thing at the smae time on Fri evening and she was also 18 weeks.

I am now frantically knicker checking again though - thought I had got over that after first trimester. Typical something like this happens as I had got around to telling people this past week or so about the baby...

Well I am off to try on my LBD party frock as have big 'do' on Sat night... Wish me luck as I am thinking I may have to go shopping...

MincecePie · 10/12/2007 11:00

I don't have my anomoly scan till 9th Jan - think I am 23/24 weeks by then...

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 10/12/2007 11:21

at our hospital they now call the anomoly sca nthe 21-23 week scan instead of 20 weeks. so at 23 weeks is not an issue i don't think at all. saying that i'll be just under 21 weeks when i have mine.

my bump is definitely bugger this time around but it's all out front and nothing anywhere else. my belly button is almost flat already whereas with ds it never got that flat! I could wear non pg stuff except for the bump - it all still fits everywhere else which is soemthing at least, so hopefully i won't have too much weight to lose afterwards, unlike last time. I've put on 5kg since just before falling pg, and since 7 weeks i've put on 1kg.

hope everyone else ok

xxx

blobsmummy · 10/12/2007 11:55

Hi all,

Have finally managed to start eating again. Off the MW tomorrow to check that baby is OK after my nasty stomach bug, but all seems to be well.

DD just turned 18 months and being a little pickle. She's not really understanding that I can't pick her up as much which is frustrating her greatly.

OP posts:
TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 10/12/2007 12:12

Hello all. Glad to hear everyone is getting on OK. I'm approaching 17 weeks I think - sorry for vagueness but 4th baby is a bit of a non-event as I have no time to think about it. [guilt emoticon]

Still in my normal clothes but bump seems to have got going so will probably be in maternity after Christmas foodfest (how convenient)! I am suffering from severe sciatica which has stopped me from running but I was going to stop at 4 months anyway. And I'm drinking lots at night too but I'm not hot at night (yet).

And I've stopped weighing myself and would advise everyone else to stop too. It's just too depressing!

HayleyandRoo · 10/12/2007 12:56

Hi all, just checking in.

Everyone sounds a lot skinnier than me so I think I better lay off the sausage craving.

I'm finally starting to glow, which is something! My DP commented on it yesterday so I'm really happy. My HATE HATE HATE hormones have gone now too so I've turned into a big softy!!

I'm at the midwife on Wednesday, which is great because we can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat again.

JBR- yep, I'm hot at night too, so I push all the covers onto DP which drives him crazy

Londonirish- hope the nasty pieces of work at work are easing up. I've demanded every special treatment going for pregnant women so colleagues knew from 5 weeks not to mess with me but seriously, you shouldn't have to put up with it. When do you start maternity leave? I'm starting mine really early from one of my job as it's harder now I'm pregnant. Does anyone know if you can start maternity leave at one job and still be working another?

sweetbean · 10/12/2007 13:23

Santaslittlestresshead
Cinderella 2 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO oh god please don't let my dd be getting that from some well meaning family member !!!!

macaco
Any news on what flavour your having ???

Hayleandroo
I'm also getting the feeling that I'm not the skinniest strout in the saucepan! but hey i know I'm fat and its just going to get worse so I'm trying not to put on to much weight and also trying to enjoy being pregnant! (alto i do feel like a beached wale this time round as am 2 stone heavier than i was with DD )

Wolverina · 10/12/2007 13:34

Hi everyone
We're getting close to halfway through - how cool is that! This pg seems to be happening much faster than my first, probably because this time I'm not checking the development calender every single day!

I bought one of those Belly Belts today, as I want to wear my own clothes on our Christmas trip instead of splashing out on maternity jeans that I will only wear for 3 weeks. Has anyone else got one of these, if so are they any good?

Slim 22, we are back the second week in Jan. Have a good trip back and see you next year! We are flying on Thur night, am so excited I can hardly wait! It will be a lovely day as my son has his first Christmas show at 'big' school in the morning, then flying home later that night - hopefully he will be so tired he will sleep the whole way!

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 10/12/2007 17:28

sorry meant bump is bigger not bugger

also i'm by no means a skinny minny - 72kg before pg!!!!

ds is now 16.5 months and is a little tantrum thrower - any advice anyone???
