Thanks @BertieBotts @PurplePansy05 @biscuitcat will check these out x

Thanks @lucyrp what a cute collection. Thanks for sharing!!!

So I read that two cardigans should be ok esp since we're having babies in august. Although seasoned mummies in this forum will be able to confirm x

Daffodil21 · 24/06/2021 18:21

@Inmypjsagain the same with pate - I only ever have it at Christmas but when I can I'm planning on pate and a glass of wine!

@lucyrp @Inmypjsagain thanks for the encouragement. Beginning to feel like this pregnancy will never end!

Re cardigans, personally I never had more than one for each baby, I prefer to use blankets for layering.

PurplePansy05 · 24/06/2021 19:45

I soooo would eat pate and crackers! A great cheeseboard would be fantastic too, and a glass of gin! You can guess my finest meal after the birth Grin xx

BertieBotts · 24/06/2021 21:45

WRT cardigans I'm not going to get one in a size smaller than 0-3 months, as I think it will probably be too warm to need one in the first couple of weeks. The 0-3 months one will fit by the time it's cooled down, and last longer.

IME you only really need a couple for that age. They don't get dirty, unless you have a seriously pukey baby. In which case you can get more later :)

BertieBotts · 24/06/2021 21:47

I don't have an achy bump as such but my pelvic floor Shock I am no longer able to run or do anything fast. Also still have loads of pressure up in my ribs especially when I sit down but standing up is uncomfortable too.

Daffodil21 · 24/06/2021 22:02

I've got one teeeny tiny cardigan that will probably only get worn once but it was so cute that I couldn't resist 😂 (they didn't have any in a bigger size)

That looks quite roomy so you might be lucky with it! :) The little seagulls, aww!

HopefulB · 25/06/2021 07:39

Wow, you guys were chatty yesterday!

Hideous day of finance for me, I’m so tired of work at the mo. (That was even after the day off Wednesday). OH bought me a lovely pack of millionaires shortbread from a local bakery and I scoffed the lot!!

Sorry to hear about the GD @PurplePansy05, but you’re right best that it’s picked up and managed - good luck!

Weight wise I’m 5kg heavier than Pre-pregnancy. I had a BMI of 28 Pre-pregnancy (but also sporty so not brilliantly reflective) and lost 2kg in first trimester, so 7kg/15lbs so far for me. Not fussed either way re weight at this stage.

I’m struggling to exercise as much, partly
Tiredness, partly that my ankle stability has completely gone so OH is worried about me falling if I walk the dog alone, and partly cos it’s so difficult to book a swim slot at the outdoor lido, so I should probably have eased off on some of my food intake but 🤷‍♀️

lucyrp · 25/06/2021 08:23

Picked up a baby bjorn mini carrier in the soft Grey for £25 yesterday in excellent condition. All washed and clean 🥳

Daffodil21 · 25/06/2021 09:10

I got curious about weight gain and braved the scales. 2.5 stone up since pre-pregnancy - wish I hadn't 😂

TMI, but just had a thick bit of mucus with a tiny dot of blood in it, similar to what I had before but more, and more mucus looking. Not going to bother calling the ward as although they were lovely last time and checked me out, it was only because I was panicking on the phone. I'm sure it's nothing but will be on alert!

Currently sat in my 2 hour wait after drinking the delicious glucose drink 🤨🤢

PurplePansy05 · 25/06/2021 10:27

Mine wasn't too bad, tropical. What did they give you @lucyrp? xx

lucyrp · 25/06/2021 10:28

@PurplePansy05 I think it was similar, almost like flat lucozade but it tasted almost chalky 🤨xx

alittlexmasmagic · 25/06/2021 10:29

@Daffodil21 as long as it's not very bloody, it shouldn't be much to worry about x

PurplePansy05 · 25/06/2021 10:30

@lucyrp Mine was still pretty cool and fresh tasting, but yes like flat Lucozade. It wasn't too bad. I had to go wait outside though because it got so hot in the waiting room it was unbelievable. xx

lucyrp · 25/06/2021 10:31

@PurplePansy05 I'm currently sat on the most uncomfortable waiting couch ever but the lady said she'd move me into one of the rooms with a comfy chair when the other MW was done with her appointments. Feel like I could go for a nap but not in the kind of position to sleep 🙈xx

PurplePansy05 · 25/06/2021 10:32

@Daffodil21 Stupid question, but you haven't shaved recently or anything? I've attempted that, cut myself a little bit down there (only minor) and had a tinge of blood the next day. Not trying that again, too uncomfortable! xx

Daffodil21 · 25/06/2021 12:53

@PurplePansy05 not in the last few days, no. It was mixed in with the mucus type stuff anyway, but it was only a little, like a pinprick. Haven't felt too much today either 🙈 will give it a bit longer and then may make that call

OP posts:
PurplePansy05 · 25/06/2021 12:57

@Daffodil21 It's probably nothing to worry about with such a tiny amount, but if you're getting worried about movements then pop to the OAU, best to be safe Flowers xx

Daffodil21 · 25/06/2021 13:26

@PurplePansy05 yeah I'm just going to see how it goes with the potential mucus thing. My hosp bag is pretty much packed apart from the last few bits to get over the weekend! He seems to have perked up now so think he's ok

Ready2020 · 25/06/2021 18:00

So not sure what's going on here really. We're back home now after a 2 hour drive. I wasn't driving at all this past week.

I've got such sore tummy muscles. Like whenever I move or bend or twist. It's all over the bump. Still got a bit of a funny tummy but not too bad. Feel OK in myself, just sore in the belly. I'm going to have a bath tonight and rest up and see how tomorrow goes.

Maybe it's being in the car or I was playing with OHs nephew a few days back so maybe did a bit too much bending. It's definitely a muscle thing as far as I can tell. Also going to get a belly band thing to help support.

Smurf123 · 26/06/2021 11:48

Hope everyone is well!!
Dh got our sons baby clothes down out of the attic.... Note to self - I do not need any more newborn vests!
In saying that I think he's missed a bag so going to have to send him back up again as havent found many babygrows.
I can't believe we are at this stage.. It's a bit scary!
We found our chicco bouncer in the attic also.. Ds has reclaimed it 😂 currently sitting in it watching paw patrol 🙈 (it goes up to 18kg as a seat!)

lucyrp · 26/06/2021 12:55

Just got my GTT results and they were negative😅 so not sure what happens now, maybe growth scan ??🤷🏼‍♀️ or just carry on as usual

WolfMother326 · 26/06/2021 17:47

Is anyone planning to have a private Strep B test? I asked my midwife and they were dismissive so don't think I can get it through the NHS...
