Just had my 20 week scan and everything looks great! None the wiser as to what we're having but any guesses ??

Beautiful scan @lucyrp, congratulations!

Thanks @wimbler. I've written to my consultant and might also contact the midwife. The NHS website seems to imply pelvic pain through week 21 is normal, so maybe I'll just have to be patient. I was hoping to go to swimming this weekend but might need an extra week!

Daffodil21 · 30/03/2021 15:21

Thanks @HopefulB. I ordered a hot water bottle off Amazon which arrived today - it's for lower back and ties up around your waist. I'm going to have to extend the tie length soon but it's good!

@lucyrp lovely scan!

There's a walking group in our town every Tuesday, which has just started up again. It's meant for people who aren't as mobile so it was a perfect pace for me! I was so embarrassed when they asked me when I was due and I said august 😂

wimbler · 30/03/2021 15:28

@WolfMother326 i'd say it was very common but that doesn't mean it can't be treated. It really annoys me when women are told something is part and parcel of being pregnant and to essentially suck it up and deal with it. A midwife with my first basically told me this. I went to an osteopath and it did really help. The earlier you seek treatment the better as left untreated in severe cases, you could end up on crutches or unable to walk.

PurplePansy05 · 30/03/2021 15:34

@WolfMother326 I have a link to PGP exercises from my local NHS health board if you want it?

Congratulations @lucyrp that's lush! I'm thinking possibly a boy?? 🥰 What do you think? xx

lucyrp · 30/03/2021 15:37

@Daffodil21 thank you!

@PurplePansy05 I had all girl guesses at my 12 week but honestly have no idea with this one 🙈 I didn't see anything boy looking at the scan but she didn't show us a full potty shot xx

PurplePansy05 · 30/03/2021 16:23

Ladies, I've signed up for these free online antenatal sessions if anyone is interested:

biscuitcat · 30/03/2021 17:04

@lucyrp lovely scan 🥰 I have no idea about sex but I'd say they're going to have the cutest little button nose!

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to buy baby clothes? I've bought a couple of bits so far and all the targeted ads on my social media aren't getting it right at the moment! In particular thinking of gender-neutral bits, but sweet rather than looking like a mini grown up (I especially like things with animals on). I'm in the mood to spend all my money on baby stuff and not finding what I want 😂

lucyrp · 30/03/2021 17:07

@biscuitcat that's what the sonographer said! I'm also struggling with baby clothes. Been in asda Morrison's and Tesco's all of which were great for clothes first time round with DS but none have any nice unisex stuff at all! It's all plain white or nothing

Daffodil21 · 30/03/2021 17:07

@biscuitcat I got absolutely loads from Asda and Tesco!

BertieBotts · 30/03/2021 17:07

Next has the best baby stuff IMO! And Boots is lovely. Supermarkets are also surprisingly nice - Morrison's and Sainsbury's are the best.

Alittlexmasmagic · 30/03/2021 17:12

@biscuitcat I'm a huge M&S fan for their baby stuff. Their white cotton vests are pretty much the only ones I put DS in as they washed brilliantly. Loved their sleepsuits too. Also bought loads from Morrison's Nutmeg.

Got my eye on these (because of the colour) but not sure how much good weather we'll have. I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/2pk-cotton-crab-rompers-0-3-yrs-/p/clp60491939?intid=mobileappppdpshare

When you say gender neutral but sweet what do you like - white and grey? Pastels? Bright colours? White and traditional (bib shirts and frills)?

BertieBotts · 30/03/2021 17:23

Those rompers are super cute!

I think I might treat myself to a Next order - they deliver to Germany for €3 or free if you spend over €30 which is really good. The prices are a little bit higher but sometimes it's nice to splash out. And it's cheaper than driving to the UK! If I do I will put up pics of what I get :)

biscuitcat · 30/03/2021 17:42

Thank you all! I've seen some lovely Next and M&S bits but haven't checked out the other supermarkets yet so that'll be the next stop 😊

@BertieBotts I've hopefully attached a picture of the bits I've bought so far as an idea for what I like

Next is great! But been trying to find supermarket stuff if I can as you can get 3 sleep suits for around £8 from there as opposed to £18 or more at next! 😬

PurplePansy05 · 30/03/2021 19:47

@biscuitcat I bought from Sainsbury's so far and very pleased with the quality, next step definitely M&S - planning to stock up there, their cotton is fantastic quality. I only ever buy cotton stuff from M&S for myself and will do the same for DS. The rest probably from Morrisons after he's born - we have a great store nearby so easy to pop in and pick it up. I will probably use Next around Christmas and for some special occasions. xx

PurplePansy05 · 30/03/2021 19:48

Also Jojo Maman Bebe has some cute stuff but not sure I'd pay full price, I order from there when I have a discount. Halifax offers cashback on JMB regularly if you have accounts with them, worth checking to activate your cashback offers before you shop xx

Jessicapebbles · 30/03/2021 20:45

@lucyrp I’m saying girl!! 💖💖💖 lovely scan xxx

Carefree1 · 30/03/2021 21:57

Lovely scan @lucyrp, I’m really not sure on gender though! If I had to guess, I’d say boy.

@biscuitcat I’ve seen some lovely ones from clay bear official, they pop up on my Instagram all the time. Lots of animal print.

On the cot front, I was thinking about getting a next to me type cot initially. Seen a good deal on silver cross one £150 for the cot, mattress and covers. Seems quite airy and tilts for colic xx

LyraShaeLilly · 30/03/2021 22:06

We just assembled our snuz pod today and my god it was a chore, it's the most complicated flat pack We have ever had to assemble. I was very glad we only had to do it once for 1 baby!!

@Champson will your babies share a cot or will you need 3?

Champson · 30/03/2021 22:47

@LyraShaeLilly they will definitely share!!! We hardly have room in our bedroom for one let alone 3 cribs 😂 There is some great guidance on the Lullaby Trust website on how best to position sleeping babies - including trips.

And thanks for tagging me! For some reason I stopped getting any thread notifications so I’ve missed about 15 pages 😳 I don’t think I can handle going back through so will hop on again here!!

Champson · 30/03/2021 22:56

My other little update was we had another scan today at 19+2. They did the anomaly scan and all three little ladies 💖💖💖 doing well! Super relieved. Every scan is a bit anxiety-inducing! Pics of their profiles attached - still not had one pic with all three of them in but think it must be hard to get that angle as they’re getting bigger!!

BertieBotts · 30/03/2021 23:08

That's so crazy! Amazing pics - you can see they look different already (at least the first and second photo do). Is it the bottom and top ones that are identical or do you not know which is which?

Are they kicking you to death constantly? Mine has become super active and I noticed at my scan on Monday that the doctor identified where the legs and arms are which completely correlates to where I've had movement - he was lying diagonally across my womb with head up on my left side, but then today I'm suddenly getting loads more kicks right in the centre above my pubic bone so I think he's moved again.
