Paromapu · 13/11/2007 18:19

Hello Joined up today I am 10 weeks pregnant Due date 11th June
Very excited and worried at same time
Am feeling good so far specially with it being first pregnancy but have backache and adominal twinges aches and pains which ive read here are completly normal but you cant help being paranoid!

Have seen the baby and its heartbeat what a moment that was!!
Well will be on here more often Take care all!

GardenAngel4 · 13/11/2007 19:10

Hello paromapu (great name does it mean anything??!)

ernest I must have had mummy brain when we were talking about appts - I had 'just' the booking in appointment today whereas yours was far more momentous - what a relief. I can't WAIT for mine. Apparently it takes 3 WEEKS for a letter to come with a phone number to get an appointment which could be another 2 weeks after that....ggrrr. I also found out nuchal scan is £200.

I am also semi-considering a home birth - which is something I would never have thought in a zillion years.

How is everyone? MS passing for people?

Has anyone NOT had sore boobs? I haven't at all and the midwife was surprised which obviously has me worried....

oblomov sorry to hear your news. Hope you are being looked after.

3rdontheway · 13/11/2007 19:35

Hi I havent been on this thread in a while!

My edd is 21st june and I dont have a scan till Im 14 weeks in my area

So Ive another 6 weeks till then.
Things have changed since the last time. I had a scan at 10 weeks last time.

3rdontheway · 13/11/2007 19:36

I havent had much sickness and my boobs are a little bit sore. But apart fromt hat Im ok.

So sorry to hear of the losses on this thread

ChinaSurprise · 13/11/2007 19:46

Obmolov - so sorry to hear of your loss.

TS - nice to see you're still with us

Garden Angel 4 - re nuchal scan - if you want one it is worth shopping around. I was told by my midwife it is £215 in our area, but by going 35 miles out of town I've discovered we can save £65. Still not sure if I want it anyway, but it's worth knowing - try googling your region (oo-er) - you may be pleasantly surprised.

Night all
China

dylansluckymum · 13/11/2007 20:06

haven't been on for a while and it looks like i've missed a whole lot of bad news! so sorry to hear of the losses, my heart goes out to each one of you.

i haven't really had much to say as feeling pretty 'normal' (whatever that is) except for tiredness (can't nap at all though) and the odd mood swing! hope to have a photo to share after my appointment on the 27th, other than that just wanted to wish everyone happy days and lots of rest! xxx

ernest · 13/11/2007 20:26

We're going to tell the boys at the weekend, the after that tell people. I think I'm going to get the boys to tell everyone, cos I really can't face it.

I've got really bad heart burn tonight. I suffered so badly from it in the other pg so I'm feeling . oh no, here we go again, and for the next 7 months.... right now. truly disgusting.

Blimey, having to wait so long for a scan makes me feel very lucky with my appointments so close - next one only 3.5 weeks away and a scan each time and alwayys the same doctor that I've had for ages, so know him and feel happy with him. i'm in Switzerland btw. I've told dh there's no way I'm going to Italy till I've had the baby, even if it means I have the agro of moving with a 1 month old, I'd rather keep this standard of care any day.

GA4 re boobs, I don't remeber them being much of a feature in my other pg tho I have got them this time, tho it's def, getting better, they're still sore. But I wouldn't worry if you don't have 1 particular symptom. I've never had any morning sickness and this is my 4th go. Everyone varies in their symptoms.

Welcome paromapu

debinaustria · 13/11/2007 22:32

Welcome Paromapu

Ernest - your antenatal care sounds just like mine. My next scan is on 28th November.Looking forward to hearing how your boys take the news.

I've told everyone now just about!!

Had a crap day - been sick a lot again, ages digging to get the car out this morning to take ds2 to speech therapy, ds1 came home crying that no-one's his friend, cleared snow and an hour later our elderly neighbour dumped her snow all over the road where we get out, made Mum a cake for her Birthday tomorrow - awful flat disaster, went to blow up balloons and the only balloons we have in the house are water bombs - they blow up to a miniature size and look ridiculous.

But only got custard to make now for a trifle, then off to bed, Mum arrives in the morning, I hope we get no more snow tonight, and tomorrow I'll have jeans to wear again as she's bringing me some from the UK!!And hopefully a bra that fits.

N Night everyone

Morning all.....I'm in shock......I have NO mindees today!!! 2 sisters off with sick bug (baby hadn't been in this week but her toddler sister woke up at 5pm and strarted throwing up all over the place so was busy disinfecting etc and she went straight home). And 3 yr old mindee didn't go to pre-school as upset and wanted to be with mummy so she's not coming either.

What do I do with myself?????

aberdeenhiker · 14/11/2007 12:01

looneytune - nap!!! Of course there's Christmas shopping already hanging over my head... but I'd go for the nap if I had a day off.

looneytune · 14/11/2007 12:12

I should nap shouldn't I but now have ds hope and he's sooooooooo excited about just having mummy for the rest of the day (even though he misses the mindees). Think I'll do my accounts whilst he eats lunch (I don't feel like eating!) and then play games with him then let him play on my laptop for a bit whilst I snooze

looneytune · 14/11/2007 12:12

As for Christmas shopping.....GULP!!! Deffo needs to sort accounts before starting that!

Hoggle · 14/11/2007 12:36

Not been on for a while, so sorry to hear about people's losses

Nice to hear about people's scans though, still a few weeks till I get my 12 week one, still hoping that will make this start to seem real. I've just had my booking in appointment, and we're lucky enough to be offered the nuchal scan and bloodtests as part of the regular routine, which should save a bit of money.

Hope you are all having a good day - Looney, enjoy your unexpected break

Josie57 · 14/11/2007 13:27

Good news everyone. I had a scan at the EPU this morning and our little bean is doing just fine. It was so good to see that little heart beating away, I can't believe how relieved I am. They've got no explanation for the bleeding just that it is one of those things which happens during pregnancy. Now I just feel absolutely exhausted as I think I am coming down off the adrenalin rush I have been on for the last 3 days. Thanks to all of you who gave advice and support, mumsnet is a great place.

goingfor3 · 14/11/2007 13:49

Josie57 I'm really happy to hear all went well. Must have been such a joy to see the baby.

I had a great appointment with the consultant this morning. He's putting me on the intensive pre term labour programme which means scans every two weeks up to the week I had my last mc and the weekly scans up to 24 weeks and back to every 2 weeks until 34 weeks. So from 16 weeks I will be scanned weekly. I also need to have swabs everytime I have a scan as even a slight infection including thrish can cause prem labour. I was supposed to have my dating scan next but in the antenatal clinic but the dr wants me to have all scans in epu when he is in clinic so I had my dating today and baby is doing well and my datyes have changed so I'm one more day pregnant than I thought and due 29th May. I'm just so happy to be having such great care, it really has made me feel more relaxed.

Thanks Aberdeenhiker, its good to know I only know my neighbour who had a really bad experience 6 months ago so I was a bit worried, dont know if a homebirth will come off or not but it is an option I will think about.

Well must be getting better here, havent been sick since y'day am. Hoping that its the UTI clearing and I will feel on top form again. Im completely shattered after y'day my pup will either be mid op just now or in recovery so will find out in a couple of hours if he has to have a 2nd op on Monday or I have to go back for him in a couple of days.

josey · 14/11/2007 15:50

Sorry not quite with it meant to add, Josie57 really glad your scan went well and G43 sounds like the perfect care.

Im due on the 21st June, you can add me to the list too!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 09:32

Morning all. No mindees again til 2.45. My double pay baby mindee isn't coming in case we are carrying the bug other mindee has which I totally understand but it's another chunk of money to pay back at a very bad time (dh just phoned to say yes, he's been given notice of redundancy).

Anyway, will try and catch up later, just popping for a shower whilst I feel ok to (been a bit queezy for the past week and have to pick times when I don't feel too yuck!)

Gosh it's cold out there today isn't it!!!

Morning all
Looney have another restful day make the most of it though financially its a buger, sorry about your DH.

Debs hope your having a nice time with you mum in new trousers and boobie cups

Im wondering in general roughly how long everyone has waited from there booking in till there scan date has come through? I know its only a week since but my patience is running thin, plus im a bit nervous after taking anti biotics and just want to see bub ok (huffy face emoticon)

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 11:22

Thanks Josey.

I had booking in appointment on Tuesday and was given the telephone number to call to arrange the scan. She said leave it a week to call as they need to have the paperwork through.

goingfor3 · 15/11/2007 11:39

josey everywhere works differently, my midwife bboked the scan for me when I had my booking appointment and is supposed to book the 20 week scan when I next see her. As the dr decided all my care will be in epu I imagagine they will do my 20 week scan in epu too.

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy - I'm really sorry to hear about your dp's redundancy. It's something that my dp always worries about and his company is doing really badly at the moment. Fingers crossed it doesn't take long for him to find a new job.
