Oh my goodness I've just come on to catch up and read about twilight and pepperpots. I have goosebumps. I am so sorry. You both sound so calm. I hope the feeling stays with you and wish you both HUGE amounts of luck and happiness in the next 12 months.

Glad your feeling better Josey. What a lovely ds you must have helping you when your not well, no wonder you wanted another one!
I think the morning sickness (all day nausea) has started to slow down, only getting the ocasional feeling now. I think I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow, if my calculations are right, have to wait over a week for my scan though, not til next wednesday.

Have a fantastic time Sophie, I'd love to go to Venice and it's not that far from here, about 6 hours or so, we should do it sometime.

Ok so something very strange has happened, after posting this I went out to the garage to get more dog food and discovered we had coke in there so thought I would have a can, half and hour later im standing in the kitchen cooking dinner feeling on top form as though the last couple of days havent happend
So im thinking that I have just been suffering a huge rise in hormons anyone want to agree with me or have I just lost it altogether. I hit the round 10weeks today so??

Katyjo Ds is a little gem (at times) though Im completely mad and this is my 3rd.

DD is (no offence to anyone) a virgo like her father and they have the tidy streak, dd has to have things in there place or lined up together e.g cant just have 1 tellietubbie has to carry all 4 in the right order, she also wanders around with a duster round her neck and dusts (as she says) any mess she was only 2 in August.

Right away to bath kids and get them in bed so I can have a bath and an early night my weekend has been to stressfull with this horrible sickness.

Upsidedowncake · 11/11/2007 19:52

I'm so sorry Pepperpots. Eps are really upsetting, and it's such a shock. How are you feeling now?

And Twilight surfer. I'm so sorry. And so impressed by your strength. You sound amazingly chipper. Good luck at the OB/GYN tomorrow. Are you in the US by the way? (DH is from Chicago)

Upsidedowncake · 11/11/2007 19:57

I've had really weird tiredness / non-tiredness symptoms over the last week. I'm eight weeks today.

Since I've had sinusitis, I've been sleeping appallingly, yet been able to go to work as though I was fine. I started to worry that something was wrong with the pregnancy.

Then this weekend, my sinusitis is going and I collapsed. Couldn't move from the sofa yday afternoon (ds took ds to the park ), and then I've basically spent today on and off asleep.

Anyone else not been remotely tired, and then collapsed?

ChinaSurprise · 11/11/2007 20:06

Hi again Josey
Coke is for some unknown reason great for sickness and also got heaps of sugar and caffeine, so it's prob'ly given you that energy boost you needed. Great to hear you're back on your feet. Just watch out you don't get a crash from the sugar rush - try a banana or apple to level out your blood sugar if you can manage. (Sorry, I know I sound like a geek, but DH is a personal trainer so I get lectures all the time!)
Am also 10 weeks this weekend and my symptoms are definitely changing. Have occasionally had low BP in the past (tho not as low as yours) and recognize the symptoms returning, and also starting to get heartburn (grrrrr). Nausea is getting more manageable so it's not all bad, but I did have Thursday/ Friday off work when it just felt like my symptoms were haywire, and I was sooo tired, and of course the earache wasn't helping. Guess things are starting to change a bit at the mo. Roll on week 12 I say.

Sophie, I am also - I went to Venice about four years ago just before Xmas - it is AMAZING. You will love it :-) God, the food. Enjoy!

SA - I was watching a doco about the Dixie Chicks of all things and they started singing and their voices were so beautiful I just started weeping. Harharhar!

Rolf · 11/11/2007 20:10

My symptoms are all over the place too. Some of the time I feel perfectly normal - not pregnant at all. But I'm still getting some queasiness, my digestion is a bit odd and my boobs are enormous.

I'm not sure when I'll have a scan. I'm booking in a week on Monday but that's just with the community midwife and she needs to refer me for the scan. I konw i was very lucky to have the scan the other week, but you know how edgy one gets about wanting further verification that things are still ok!

Lazylou · 11/11/2007 20:25

I've not really had any symptoms except for the tiredness, although I think bean is having a grwoing spurt today, everything is stretching uncomfortably. I'm 11 weeks and 2 days now. My booking in appointment isn't until 14 weeks so it seems like ages away! Hoping to be scanned again then but it seems the whole booking in process has changed since I had DD.

debinaustria · 11/11/2007 20:31

My symptoms are definitely changing too.

Josey, my Dad had salmonella the other year and coke was the thing that kept him going.

Thanks China, I had my dinner just after(meatballs and pasta) the whole thing has been very strange thankfully though oddly I feel completely normal again.
Debs you scared me I hope I have just had rather odd pg symptoms and not salmonella

Upsidedowncake I have been crashed on the sofa all weekend with something or other hope you pick up soon x

Ok away to jump into bed and watch the box night all xx

debinaustria · 12/11/2007 06:21

Oh Josey - didn't mean to scare you, I wanted to reassure you that Coke seems to do the trick with upset stomachs!! I think you'd know if it was salmonella!!!!

How are you this morning?

Deb

Upsidedowncake I felt just like you for a while. I would have my normal energy levles for a few days and then one day could barely get out of bed and then be normal again for a few days. I have to say now I've got further along I feel even more tired than I did before, I'm going to bed around 9.30 and sleeping really well.

Josie57 · 12/11/2007 08:41

Hi All,

Having a nightmare. My husband left for a business trip yesterday lunchtime and a few hours later I started bleeding. I've spoken to my midwife who is trying to get me an appointment with the EPU but doesn't think I'll get one till tomorrow or Wednesday. So until then I am just waiting and hoping and doing 10 minute knicker checks!!! It hasn't been much blood but as you all know we all panic at the sight of any blood whilst pregnant. Feeling very alone without my dh here for support and to top it all off my little sister is out in South Africa getting married today so I should be feeling really happy. I really don't want to remember her wedding day for all the wrong reasons.

Sorry for the moan but this is the only place I feel I can come to at the moment. I'm at work at the moment and have got 20 minutes to get myself straight before my office buddy (who is a bloke) comes in.

Good luck to everyone else.

GardenAngel4 · 12/11/2007 09:00

Oh josey57, try not to worry. If it's not too much maybe it's implantation bleeding? Or left over from your last period? (I had that at 8 weeks last time, scared the hell out of me at the time, but that apparently is what it was)Hope you get an appointment as soon as anyway. xx

debinaustria · 12/11/2007 09:13

OH Josie, what awful timing with dh being away as well, hope it soon stops. Get our feet up at lunchtime. Let us know how you get on, and I hope your sister has a fabulous day

Josie57 hope everything is ok, these things always seem to try us when we are on our own, I hope you get an appointment quick and put your mind a rest sure its just one of those unexplained bleeds. Can you not go home and rest?

feeling a bit better today thanks though I did have to sit down in the shower and was sick down the plughole its deff been a hormon surge with me over the weekend, I have big white mountains on my face yum! I went to our not very good village shop and got some sports drinks so think im ok to brave some toast now.

Im Dreading tomorrow, I have to take my dog to the speciallist, which is a good 2-3hours drive away see what they are going to do get x-rays and if they can op leave him if not take him back home and wait for another day, I really hope he can stay tomorrow, I dont have anyone to come with me so its going to be a long day. Hay ho!

Ok food xx

ChinaSurprise · 12/11/2007 11:45

josie57 I've just looked at your EDD and I think you are about 8 weeks at the moment so it could very well be a mini period - I had exactly the same thing at 8+2 - bright red blood and one small clot - i was weeping and shaking - it scared the hell out of me but it was gone within 12 hours.
Hang in there and hopefully it will pass.
Lots of love
China

TwilightSurfer · 12/11/2007 12:26

Hi Ladies.

Josey57 bleeding in pregnancy is more normal than you think. It can be caused by many different reasons. Lots and lots of those reasons are perfectly normal and have no ill effects on you or the baby. Staying as calm as possible is the best thing you can attempt to do right now. Taking it easy is another. Let me tell you I personally women who bled during pregnancy, some only a little...some bled alot. One woman had a D&C when she was unknowingly 5 weeks pregnant. She bled throughout her entire pregnancy and at this moment has a 3.5 year old who is absolutely incredible. The female body is amazing. You will be okay.

Josie57 · 12/11/2007 13:32

Thank you ladies for all your kind comments, it really helps to chat to you. I've got an appointment at the EPU booked for first thing on Wednesday so I've got a long wait. THe bleeding is still minimal and I've got no cramps so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Now just trying to decide whether I should go home from work....

debinaustria · 12/11/2007 13:33
