Oh God sorry I messed up the copy and paste on my phone!!

lucyrp · 14/02/2021 18:59

@BertieBotts are you feeling movements already?! I've had a few flutters where I've wondered if I have or not but I'm only 14 weeks.

@Whatshouldbemyusername my EDD was brought forward 5 days from my dates. I'm going by their dates now but mindful that mine are probably correct.

RunnerGirl123 · 14/02/2021 20:06

@Whatshouldbemyusername my date was brought forward 2 days but matched with my ovulation (tracked by temps) so I do think it's right. Are you worried about yours moving?

Whatshouldbemyusername · 14/02/2021 20:10

Thank you all.

@RunnerGirl123 just wondering if it changes does it change by going forward or back and by how much roughly. That’s all. Will know more on Tuesday x

RunnerGirl123 · 14/02/2021 20:13

@Whatshouldbemyusername ah it could be either, in my last pregnancy it was moved later by 1 day but I wasn't tracking ovulation then. I think if your cycles are longer than 28 days, then it might be moved later but it also depends on implantation and baby's individual growth i think. Hope the scan goes well!!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 14/02/2021 20:25

Thank you @RunnerGirl123. I had a 25 day cycle and my EDD as per app is based on that. So im just going to have to see what the Sonography shows. Thank you x

PurplePansy05 · 14/02/2021 20:28

@Whatshouldbemyusername Definitely can go either way and it will depend on the ovulation and conception dates, the app won't tell you these exactly. You're right to wait till your scan. xx

PurplePansy05 · 14/02/2021 20:32

Is anyone else here on DC #2?? If so are you going to purchase a new pram or not ? DS is 6 in April and I had the silver cross wayfarer with blue colour pack with him when he was a baby and it lasted great and used it until he walked. I'm unsure as to whether I "need" a new pram or its more a want thing. I've been looking second hand would never go brand new but at icandy peach in all black. My silver cross had a chrome frame which is the only thing I don't really like about it 🙈

Jessicapebbles · 14/02/2021 20:58

@lucyrp Yes we’re on our 2nd and will be using the same pram as before. We have a Cossatto from 3 years ago when we had our DD but it is gender neutral!

lucyrp · 14/02/2021 21:01

@Jessicapebbles I actually bought the pram with the blue colour pack before he was born and we were waiting for a surprise, because I loved the colour so much so not worried about that. I think its that this will be OH first so he would like to buy something "new" as such. He's obviously glad I have everything already but I know he'd like to get something if that makes sense

Alittlexmasmagic · 14/02/2021 21:13

@lucyrp I have a mountain buggy terrain, which is fab but huge. The carrycot wasn't great though. I'm thinking of getting something off FB marketplace or similar which is smaller & lighter to live in the car and keep the MB for walking out from home.x

Magik01 · 14/02/2021 21:16

@Whatshouldbemyusername my EDD was brought forward a day to the 13th at my 12 week scan. The private scan I hate did say even earlier but I think the NHS scan is more likely with how regular my cycle is.

Smushty14 · 14/02/2021 22:02

Not sure why but I've been knocked off the list again 🤣 adding myself in!

DressyGerbera · 14/02/2021 22:47

@PurplePansy05 thank you!! I am clearly not good with my fingers!!

@Whatshouldbemyusername my booking appointment initially said my EDD was 11th but that is based on my LMP. If you have a longer cycle it varies. My 12 week scan then gave 12th but my private scan said it was 15th! I'm more tempted to follow the latter as my cycle is longer than usual and I had my private scan later.

PurplePansy05 · 15/02/2021 08:19

Morning girls, I'm joining the bunged up club 🤣 Thought it was random but it's a third morning in a row. I read this could be a thing for the rest of the pregnancy!

Update as we've somehow lost the hearts indicating the no of babies expected/sex. If you add yourselves in, please can you copy from the latest post so people don't get dropped out 🙏💐

27 babies already on the list ladies! 🥰🥰🥰 How lovely! xx

Argh pregnancy constipation is awful, I hate it!

Yes feeling movement already here. I have felt flutters at 12/13 weeks with all of my DC so it's quite normal for me, but I tend to be a bit oversensitive to body things - can't wear certain textures etc. It's nornally later especially with a forst pregnancy.

We will be reusing the pram from DS2, we have got a Mutsy Evo. It's ok, I don't love it as much as I expected to tbh. We got it second hand. I like the parent facing seat and proper lie flat in the seat part. It's compact enough to take on a bus but the wheels are big enough to handle a bit of terrain. I also got a lush colour Grin

But the seat unit is small and DS was too big for it really at 2. It's also a massive pain to fold and doesn't get much smaller, so we have ditched it for a britax b-agile these days. Probably won't use that for baby though as it's massive and not supportive for a child that can't sit. I think my friend is giving us a Phil and Ted sport though which will be brill!

I had abebeconfort/maxi cosi loola up for DS1 which was the best pram ever. I love the maxi cosi prams. They have a brilliant combo of features, quality, colours and price IME (and I worked in a baby shop for a while so I got to try lots).

A good idea is to look at brands and features you want and then go second hand or marketplace hunting.

Smurf123 · 15/02/2021 09:15

We will be reusing our silver Cross pram from ds all being well.
I'm 15 w 4 days still don't think I've felt anything yet., hoping it's soon just got some reassurance that all is OK.

Millymay13 · 15/02/2021 09:40

Another one feeling the congestion here! I’m hoping part of the problem is due to going out walking in the freezing cold all last week but I’ve also read about congestion just being a pregnancy thing.
A question for those of you taking aspirin - do you take it in the morning or evening? I have a feeling I’ve read somewhere about it being better to have it in the evening, but there’s nothing on the instructions and I can’t remember where I might have heard that information.

Carefree1 · 15/02/2021 09:47

Lovely to see all the babies due dates, can’t wait to see the last few 🥰

Another hands up for dry lips, no matter what I use!!

@Whatshouldbemyusername my dates went back based on LMP by around 5 days, which wasn’t a shock as I have long cycles and I know when I ovulated. It all depends. Best of luck xx

PurplePansy05 · 15/02/2021 10:10

@Millymay13 I am. It is supposedly a bit better to take it in the eve, but personally there's no chance I'd remember to do this so I just crack on in the morning after breakfast, just my habit. xx

Millymay13 · 15/02/2021 10:30

@PurplePansy05 that’s my worry about changing to take it in the evening, I just know I’ll end up forgetting whereas I’m in the routine of taking it after breakfast. I guess taking it in the morning is way better than forgetting to take it at night! x

PurplePansy05 · 15/02/2021 10:33

That's my logic too @Millymay13 😊 xx

biscuitcat · 15/02/2021 10:56

@Millymay13 I take it just before bed mostly, but it does vary a bit - I'm hoping it doesn't matter too much!

@BertieBotts that's great to have had the inside knowledge on prams through working at a baby shop! I'm finding navigating all of the terms and brands etc so overwhelming - definitely didn't know that a pram and a pushchair were different! Such a pain that shops are still closed as I really want to go and try some out before committing to anything. Can I ask, based on your expertise (and anyone else who knows too!), do you have any thoughts on the Uppababy Vista? It seems quite good for walking in the country based on what I've read which will be important!
