Continuation of August 2021 thread :)

Ahhhh help! I've had such a craving of salami this week and I've eaten probably around 30 biggish slices of it. I read that you could eat it whilst pregnant but I've just read somehwerw now you should be really careful with it unless cooked. Help 😭😫

@RunnerGirl123 yeah I'm hoping to order a pillow soon too. I said I wasn't going to but can't remember sleep being so difficult last time!😫

@ame88 @Whatshouldbemyusername I don't have an issue with waking to pee my body just doesn't like sleeping no matter how tired I am😫 or rather I can sleep but the quality is shocking

@lucyrp, how often did salami make you sick before pregnancy? If it was me, and I knew it was stored properly, I’d not be worried!

Those waiting for preg pillows, have you tried pooping a normal pillow between your knees? May give you some relief in the interim if getting hip pain.

@HopefulB yeah I can't say its ever made me ill before or not that I've noticed anyway🤷🏼‍♀️ I bought it and it's been kept in the fridge since so hopefully he okay. Won't be eating anymore just incase 😬🙈

@biscuitcat I had to get the main reception to print my notes, so they'll be on your file. Just mention it at your next appointment and they can make a note to print them for you next time they have your notes.

@lucyrp I wouldn't worry too much, the risks are low. And think about the people who don't realise they're pregnant and keep eating and drinking what they want without issues. Just avoid it now if you don't fancy the risk.

@HopefulB I have a small pillow I use which does help a little but find it moves easily in the night and I also use it against my chest to relieve someone the gravity on my boobs lol. Think a larger one will help. Just going to get a long one from Asda as we only have a small double bed!

@PurplePansy05 good luck with the move, sorry I can't help on mattress recommendations but look to see which ones give you a trial period so you can always return if it's not right for you!

Is anyone having really bad dry lips? I drink 8-9 glasses of water everyday abs since I found out I’m pregnant from like week 9/10 my lips are really cracking. I apply coconut oil to then as trying to avoid anything that has chemicals.

It’s not doing the trick though. Anyone has any recommendations?

@Whatshouldbemyusername yes me but I'm also quite congested and feel like I've blocked sinuses so thought it was related to that.
I literally feel like I've had a constant cold since beginning of January.. Anyone else have headaches? Getting them increasingly often.. But feel less nauseous which has me worried as usual.. 2 weeks before next scan.

@Whatshouldbemyusername I’ve had terribly cracked lips for weeks now, the only thing that will touch it for me is blistex intensive moisteuriser, nothing else seems to make a difference!

@Smurf123 having headaches too, I also feel quite congested. Drinking plenty so not dehydrated, I have tried steaming with menthol and it has helped to clear but only short term. Hoping when the weather gets warmer it will get better!

I woke up with a stinking headache this morning.
For congestion, treat yourself to a Calpol plug in. You'll find them in the baby medicine section, they're frequently on offer in Aldi too etc. I love them and borrow my sons when I'm not feeling great.
If you don't like the blue light on the plug in, just tape over it x

@Alittlexmasmagic we actually have one for ds (with the blue light taped over!) but don't think I have any refills does it help? I might go get refills I'd do anything at this point..
Is it OK to take paracetamol? I've been trying not to take any medicines but the headache isn't shifting at all today.

Paracetamol is fine in pregnancy, the Dr told me if paracetamol take pregnancy pains away it's nothing serious!!!!

@Smurf123 I always sleep better with the plug-in going. It can't hurt to try.
Paracetamol is fine during pregnancy, just avoid Ibuprofen x

Doh, I did a list before but it was really early and I didn't want to go through taking people off if they weren't sure whether they were staying or not! Much better idea to do it now. Hopefully we can get it finished before this thread fills up and then start the next one with it.

We have had a big ikea pick up order and have been making up furniture. Did a FB announcement and got lots of love :) My friend has offered us a double buggy which is very kind of her. We weren't planning to get one, but it might come in handy.

My lips are also sooooooo dry and DS2 is freaked out by them. I keep drinking but it's just making me need to wee

Baby had been quiet for a while but very active today! I don't know whether they moved position perhaps and are now in a more obvious place.

@Whatshouldbemyusername my lips are so dry! Nothing has helped so far, but to be fair I've also not been very consistent in using lip balm

@Smallbean27 I've been really congested too - I've read that it's apparently linked to higher levels of progesterone and might not ease until birth 😩 hoping that's not true, it's a horrid feeling. I might have to try the Calpol plug in that @Alittlexmasmagic suggested if it goes on much longer

My lips are also so sore and dry, I don't think the surgical masks help this at work but I'm currently using a no7 lip cream that I got in their advent calendar which is really good, I would definitely buy again full price, I used blistex previously, no where near as good as no7.

I have my scan on Tuesday. Excited! However I had a question for all you ladies who have had the scan. How much did your EDD change from the orIginal LMP date? My EDD as per app is 23rd august but my sis is like it must be after 5th September. 🤣

My EDD has been changing so I just keep thinking it around mid August! Went for private scans which are suggesting different dates so just don't have a fixed date in my mind anymore!
