Continuation of August 2021 thread :)

Yes it can, it's your choice @LyraShaeLilly. It is 99.99% correct, so pretty much certain, whereas I think the accuracy at the 20 ws is closer to 80% (someone pls correct me if that's wrong) xx

@PurplePansy05 thanks for your reply. I just had my scan and hadn't seen your message first. I brought the NIPT paperwork and the ultrasound technician took a copy of it and said I only needed the Nuchal Translucency unless I really wanted the blood test. I decided to skip it as the Nuchal looked really good and the NIPT tests were 1 in 10,000 chance for all categories. I feel ok about it!

Was so relieved and happy to see the baby again today. DH was able to come and it was quite emotional. Due date is now 17 August Apparently the baby has very long legs already, and we were told they're going to be tall!

@BananaHammock23 sorry you’re feeling this way. I totally sympathise! I think lockdown has become even harder this side of Christmas. Try to have little things to (hopefully) look forward too. Myself & DH will also have date nights where we’ll take it in turns to cook a lush 3 course meal, no tv, phones etc. I know it’s something small, but helps us. Also, think of all the awkward non drinking/sickness questions you’ve been able to avoid.

I hope that we can start getting back to ‘normal’ soon, but if nothing else, the days are getting longer and it will soon be spring 😌 xx

@notinthestarsigns I am apparently being referred to a consultant but I was never given a time frame of when that would be 🤷🏻‍♀️ not sure if it will be discussed at my 16 week appt

Sorry you’ve been feeling so low @BananaHammock23 I totally get it, I’ve been feeling crappy and then feel terrible because I’m so grateful to be pregnant. Hormones are raging and we are pregnant in the toughest of times. We will get there x

@Whatshouldbemyusername ooo yes mr friend said that! I've got a whole jar of coconut oil in the cupboard for cooking I haven't opened yet and some Shea body butter from body shop I already have so will try those and see how I get on!

I got my screening test results back today and all low so really happy about that ☺️

Really excited for these lists and all your due dates, my 12 week scan is next week but my 6 week scan gave an EDD of 1st sept but will be having a ELCS at 39 weeks so will be end of Aug. I also think the 12 week scan may alter the date. I have very long cycles which is why Ive ended up in this Aug group haha.

It dawned on me the other day that my Mum may not get to see me pregnant, which made me quite sad. Going to have to make an effort to show the bump on video calls!

Hi everyone!! I’m so sorry I’ve been so absent. Thank you everyone for your well wishes. DH was fine, the most he suffered was a sore throat and a headache for the first day or two but was really lucky to get off so lightly! Everyone’s scan pictures are so lovely and it’s so nice to hear everyone is doing well (apart from the sickness!)

I’ve found isolation quite tough with a toddler who is quite full on. Usually we will go for a walk so being unable to do really affected me. I think the fact I had to reschedule my scan also didn’t help the scan anxiety and I felt quite unwell for a few days.

However! I finally had my scan today!! All is well. Baby wouldn’t move into the right position though so was sent for a walk for 20 mins to try and help. It didn’t! We eventually got there in the end though.

So my official EDD is now the 13th August if you wish to add me to the list please @PurplePansy05

My Kally pillow arrived, yay!! Not impressed with the pillow case though. It's like trying to hoick a pair of tights up that are a size too small... you wanna get a good grip but know you'll only end up sticking your thumb through. End result is a gusset halfway up your thighs and a lot of swearing 🤦‍♀️ x
