Continuation of August 2021 thread :)

And pleased to report that the U-shape pregnancy pillow is a bliss and I'm getting on very well with the one I ordered 💙 xx

Pleased that not everyone is in maternity clothes yet 🙈 I am thinking I need to invest in some bras or dig out my old ones as they are beginning to pop out of my current ones. OH noticed that they were bigger yesterday so they must be 🙈

Good morning ladies and congratulations to everyone on their scans. Love seeing those photos! ♥️ I don’t have mine till 16th feb so still need to wait.

I just had a few questions though. I’m 11w + 4 days today (as per my app) and I’m getting a few cramps on the left side under my belly. Nothing tooo painful but it’s there and it comes and goes. Is this normal? I also had a slight lower back pain that lasted for literally a few minutes.

To note I have been very bloated since the last 2 nights so thinking it might be trapped gas? My morning sickness had disappeared at 10 weeks and 4 days but for the last 2 days it’s sort of back (in the evenings).

I haven’t had a scan so I am Abit concerned. I just hope all this is normal. I haven’t seen any spotting or bleeding but I guess I will feel better after my scan.

Any advice will be appreciated x

You've just described my exact experience the past few days - just back from my 12 week scan and all looks good!

They could actually see some trapped gas on the scan

I've noticed every twinge and odd sensation since finding out so I appreciate it's hard not to let the nerves take over.

I've been lurking on these threads since December and the advice and reassurance from other posters has been invaluable x

@EJT89 that's what they said to me at my 8 week scan that there was loads of trapped gas so much so they couldn't see w certain part of my anatomy that they were looking for !

Hi everyone, hope you don’t mind if I join you?
I had a MMC in May last year, so haven’t been comfortable in moving onto any pregnancy related boards until now. I had my 12wk scan on Wednesday and baby was healthy and jumping around (although stubborn and kept their back to us 😂).

@Whatshouldbemyusername I’ve had that too on and off and everything’s fine, sounds totally normal. There’s a lot of stretching and moving going on too! X

@lucyrp@HopefulB I’ve only bought one maternity bra so far. That’s it. Still fitting in clothes fine although my tummy does get bloated.

Oh the wind and the farts abs the burps! So horrible! Trapped wind is so uncomfortable, interesting to read it’s shown up in some of your scan pics!

@Smallbean27 lovely photo! Congrats! I still don’t really feel pregnant other than the milk symptoms. It’s hard to believe there’s actually something in there.

@Whatshouldbemyusername I had a strange sharp pain in my lower abdomen on turning over last night, it only lasted a second but it’s not nice and can be worrying. Like others have said, I think we are ok with this short aches and pains. It’s more of a worry if it’s prolonged or with bleeding.

@PurplePansy05 which pillow did you say you’ve bought? I’m a tummy sleeper and I’ve been told a u shape one would be best for me. Does anyone else sleep on the tummy? I’m nervous at how else I’ll sleep!

Thanks for all the lovely messages, so exciting to see everyone's scans. @miniheart I have also found myself sleeping better on my tummy! I hate staying in 1 position for too long. Let me know how you get on! Haven't got a bump yet so will carry on for as long as I can.

@Smallbean27 that was supposed to say mild symptoms not milk! Haha! Stupid autocorrect. Yes I also move around loads in bed and as I have no bump I’ll enjoy tummy sleep for as long as possible although a friend said I should start ‘practicing’.

@Miniheart I’m a tummy sleeper too, still managing it for now but I can tell my tummy is getting bigger and it’s a bit uncomfortable at times! Let me know if you find a solution 😂

On the trapped wind topic has anyone else had a stitch type feeling at the top of their belly like just under their rib cage ?

@lucyrp yes!! Only the last few days. It's really quite uncomfortable and constipated too which doesn't help! Hope it gets better x

@MrsB2019x I'm a tummy sleeper, you'll probably find you'll sleep somewhere between front and left when bump grows. Lots and lots of lovely pillows are your friend then x

@lucyrp @Smallbean27 @LyraShaeLilly it’s very uncomfortable. I even go for walks but I feel like this week I’ve been the most gassy and bloated than all the other weeks. Really hoping it eases off in the second trimester x

Good morning everyone, I just have a quick question, I have my 12 week scan in a couple of weeks when I will be 13 weeks. I live in Italy abs my friend who had it a month ago said that before she went in they gave her medicine called "spasmex" to relax the uterus. I'm not big on medicines to begin with and hardly ever take anything even for headaches when not pregnant. It's making me not want to go to my scan. Has anyone else had this medicine for their scan or heard of it? Thank you and you all have a lovely day ❤️
