Hi AngelK madmouse says welcome to the madhouse.

Would love to hear your offspring's accents once they learn to talk .

Luckysalem big guys in grey suits get very uncomfortable and helpless when preggers women are around, make the most of it [nasty grin icon here].

susiemj · 09/11/2007 14:11

Angle K - A friend of a friend is from New York with a husband from Glasgow. You're not a teacher, are you?

mixedmama · 09/11/2007 14:12

Beller... made me laugh about the dizziness.

Welcome.

gingeme · 09/11/2007 14:26

Thanks susiemj. dh has an infection and has got anti biotic cream and has to dip 'it' in warm salt water 3 times a day
Welcome Angelk and congrats
sabiner afternoon nap whats that then?
Ive been looking at double buggies on Ebay and they have quite a few Hauck ones and I was told by two Mums that they are suprisingly light. Ive seen a chili red one with like an orange stripe down the seat and a sort of beige and orange one with teddy faces on the seat. I love bright buggies. Cant stand drab navy and black ones.
Ive often thought that beller about baby being head down. Does the blood rush to their head ? But I guess they wouldnt know the difference as they cant see out so to speak so wouldnt know which way round the world is

mixedmama · 09/11/2007 14:36

Gingeme - did you find out why they circumcised him whilst he was there?

susiemj · 09/11/2007 14:36

They are very light Gingeme. They've got a fire engine red colour that you might like - at least in the single.

Sympathy to DH. My DH had to have a small operation 'down there' a few years ago. What a sorry boy he was!

susiemj · 09/11/2007 14:37

Amani - I hope you're asleep! Naps rule.

beller · 09/11/2007 15:14

Sabinar - Welcome back...in answer to your question..when ever you can is the right time!! got for it..wish i could....2 hours to go tic toc tic toc...

Angelkg77 - Welcome to the loony bin! And congratulations! xxxxxxxxx

susiemj · 09/11/2007 15:40

Sorry! I meant Sabinar. Well, I hope you're sleeping too Amani...

chunkypudding · 09/11/2007 15:42

hello all, blimey it is completely impossible to keep up with you!!!!

maybe when (if???) my mat leave starts I'll be able to keep up a bit better.

have had a crazy mental week, streaming cold, builders everywhere (both in new house and in our current flat - we gave no kitchen til next wed, dust eveywhere and gravel in my bed!!!) I would like this all to just STOP NOW PLEEEEASE!

32 weeks not long to go now

Awen, I was same size as baby in your dream when I was born (please god don't let it be hereditary!!!) don't think I could walk or talk at that point tho

As for afternoon naps, I've been trying to perfect the art of napping whilst upright in front of computer with v important spreadsheet up so I look busy... haven't quite got it yet though!

Have skimmed thru and hope all's well. Jealous of those who have started AN classes, I still haven't got on NCT (applied in Aug) and we only get a couple of NHS -

Mrs Mc I know what you mean about feeling that you don't know what's gonna happen!!!

fluffymummy · 09/11/2007 15:43

Just a quick pop-in to wish everyone a fab weekend...am being a SAHM with ds (2.3) today whilst nanny in hospital and am not particularly surprised to discover there's a lot more time to hang out on MN when I'm at work!!

Good fun hanging out with him, but he's still being quite grumpy/whingey from his cold - so really not sure I could do this full time

Just one quick question - has anybody else worken up in the night in total agony from major leg cramps? My whole left leg seized up last night and I was lying in bed almost sobbing from the pain for about 10 mins before DH woke up and helped get me upright. Walking around on it helped, but its still really aching/hurting today....

Right, time to take ds to his great-grandma's for the regular friday visit!

Hugs all around (and welcome to the mayhem, Angel!!) xxx

LuckySalem · 09/11/2007 15:43

I'm feeling happy for myself now!

I've just started up my own website trying to get some work typing. May not work but I get 3 months free so if it doesn't work I close it down after that and if it does it'll cost me £20 per month.

I dont know what the address is yet. I think it's www.will-type-for-you.co.uk but I'm not sure cos I think there's an msn in there somewhere as well.

chunkypudding · 09/11/2007 15:43

have not gave no kitchen.

LuckySalem · 09/11/2007 15:46

Fluffy - I've managed to get away with only 1 leg cramp but yeh I've had it bad. Apparently you're meant to drink loads of milk (which may be why i'm not getting many of them) I have a glass every night cos of heartburn.

My Anti natal classes start next thurs! 7-9 and I'm sooo excited. I'm 32 weeks as of last weds and getting quite scared that i've only 8 weeks left!!

gingeme · 09/11/2007 16:02

Yes mixedmamma tmi alert. His foreskin was getting tighter and tighter to the point where it was actually tearing slightly when he was erect. Tis no more now just a bit bruised and erm gooey.
Seems to be clearing up now though. Didnt help ds3 jumping on him on the bed the other day and landing straight on it
Yes to the cramps. I always get them when Im pregnant. My calf feels like Ive got a tennis ball in it and its agony. Never heard of milk helping though. I was told to drink tonic water as it has quinine in it. Though my mw said youd have to drink about 4 bottles a day to make any difference so I dont bother just hope it doesnt too often.

beller · 09/11/2007 16:16

Fluffymummy - has only happened to me a couple of times...but both times when i had found i had rolled back onto my back in the night? xx

Amani · 09/11/2007 16:28

Afternoon ladies

Hi back to you Susiemj, sadly no nap today. Went to pick DD up from inlaws and it took me 45 mins to get her out of the house as she didn't want to leave. Lots of bribing with chocolate and a promise to take her to the park worked

Welcome AngelaK.

Jenwish - good idea about the typing website - hope it goes well

Fluffy - I've been getting mild cramps, I usually find pointing my toes and moving foot up and down usually helps. Am sure i've read somewhere it's to do with lack of potassium, so eat lots of bananas

Update on me and wierd food habits: Ate half a jar of pickled onions for lunch, yum, yum.....oh fancy some more now...

OP posts:
Amani · 09/11/2007 16:38

More on food: MIL was really nice and sent me away with a hug pot of Biryani for dinner tonight... .....

oh wonder what biryani and pickled onions will taste like..???

I am sure that will taste great Amani. I love gherkins with spicy food, so that is almost the same .

Naetha · 09/11/2007 16:58

Definitely bananas needed for leg cramps - I'm currently on one a day, and haven't had a leg cramp since.

Apparently the greener the banana, the more potassium too

MrsMcJnr · 09/11/2007 17:05

No time again to catch up but thanks for the nice comments about the dress and Amani, that's good about the infection clearing up have lovely weekends all, I will try and get on and catch up

fluffymummy · 09/11/2007 18:16

Unfortunately I absolutely cannot stand bananas ...oh dear...!!!

It kicked in when I tried to roll from my left to my right hand side this morning, definitely no sleeping on back involved this time (altho it does happen from time to time, even with jonny d to prop me up!). Oh well, milk with a shot of quinine and potassium coming right up

Have a lovely weekend everyone

Oh, and MrsMc, the dress is totally fabulous....am totally that you get to own/wear something that sexy/slinky when 8 months pregnant!!! Enjoy

MrsMcJnr · 09/11/2007 18:55

Evening ladies it?s FRIDAY DH is watching some crap on TV so I thought I?d indulge myself and catch up on what I?ve missed

Madmouse ? PMSL DH got a free plastic poster (?) from some car company in the post so I managed to stop him from throwing it out proclaiming that it would do as my water breaking contingency!

Fluffy ? I am actually in our Glasgow office on Tues 27th ? fancy a catch up? I have a full morning and then things on until about 3 but maybe then? Will you be in the City centre?

Amani ? good for DD managing the stairs alone [smile

Neuro ? happy house move

LuckySalem Salem is such a cool name for a cat! If I used the same technique I?d be TiaDivaDemi

Hello Katyt1 and Lolo

Awen not heard of Anita bras ? did you used those before? Do you reckon I?ll be ok if I buy an H cup in a nursing bra to get me started then?

Gingeme ? poor DS3 hope he is feeling better now. Wow ? maybe I haven?t got enough of things I have 2 packs of cotton wool pads (are pleats better?) and 3 packets of sani towels ? need more? Noticed in the hospital shop yesterday that they only sell Kotex there. I?m waiting until after my 36 week scan to buy nappies ? figured I?d have more idea of size then!

OH Susiemj hadn?t heard that about those pads and stitches ? god the though makes me wince

Ahhhhh DH wants dinner now I?ll be back at some point soon?.
